Chapter 7 I'm Cheating

It was a dark and windy night, Herag was moving fast in the forest, and Sean followed closely behind.

His speed was faster than Herag, but the trees and other things in the forest hindered his movement.

"Damn it! How can this kid be so familiar with this place!" Sean cursed inwardly.

Herag was moving at full speed all the way, as if he knew exactly what was behind each tree, and those who didn't know would think he grew up here.

More importantly, Herag turned back and shot an arrow while moving forward.

The timing of each shot was extremely exquisite, just when Sean was about to burst out and accelerate. A cold arrow shot over, forcing him to twist his body to dodge, and in the blink of an eye he pulled away from Herag.

This made Sean feel as uncomfortable as if he had eaten a fly, and he felt a little strange in his heart: "Is it such a coincidence?"

After repeating this several times, Sean finally couldn't stand it anymore: "Go to hell, kid!"

"It is detected that there is an unknown energy burst in the other party's body, and it is expected to increase strength by 7, agility by 1, and constitution by 5."

Whoosh!

Herag felt a chill on his back. It was the first time he heard a person moving at such a speed could make such a sound.

"Dodge to the left front!" Deep Blue gave a hint.

Herag didn't hesitate at all. He just dodged Sean and rushed over. The dagger in his hand stabbed into the air.

"Huh? How is it possible!" Sean was very surprised. His extremely confident killing blow was actually dodged.

Herag accelerated forward again. He felt that his speed had reached the limit.

Sean used special means to greatly improve his physical fitness. His current speed was not comparable to Herag's.

"Lower your body and roll forward!" Deep Blue gave another hint.

Herag immediately followed Deep Blue's hint. To complete these evasive actions at high speed, the body is very demanding.

At this time, the benefits of practicing the Earth Breathing Method were reflected. Herag insisted on doing the set of breathing methods every day. He could control his body freely.

Sean's dagger brushed past Herag's head. A strand of hair fell down. He stabbed into the air again.

"There's something strange about this kid!" Sean couldn't believe that a kid who wasn't even a knight could dodge his fatal blow twice in a row.

"Dodge and hide behind the tree on the right, draw your sword to block from behind!"

Herag did as he was told, dodging behind the tree and blocking the long sword behind him.

Ding!

There was a crisp metal collision sound, and Herag looked back and saw that Sean's dagger had actually penetrated the tree trunk and hit the sword. The violent collision made Herag's sword-holding hand numb.

Sean saw this scene and wondered, "Why does this kid seem to know what I'm going to do every time in advance?"

He thought, in theory, he could do this. Because every time he attacked, the muscle force and movements of his whole body would change. As long as he observed these in advance, he could predict his attack method.

But this was all in a moment, and this kid was running forward the whole time without looking behind him, so how did he know all this?

"Block the front with the sword!"

Ding!

Sean suddenly appeared in front of him, holding a dagger and rushing straight to Herag's face.

But this attack was predicted again, and Herag blocked the attack steadily with a long sword.

"Damn it!" Sean was a little furious, as if this kid had seen through him every time he attacked.

"Wait!" Sean's breathing suddenly became disordered, and he held his forehead in some pain.

Herag breathed a sigh of relief: "It finally worked. I thought this poison was ineffective on you. You just had a burst of attack, and your blood flow must have accelerated a lot, so the poison took effect faster."

"That arrow is poisonous..." Sean thought about it and realized that he had only been hit by that arrow once.

There are two kinds of arrows in Herag's quiver, one is an ordinary arrow, and the other is a poisoned arrow.

The poison comes from an inconspicuous grass outside the castle. The grass is deep blue and has been tested. Its roots have been dried and distilled, and a colorless and odorless poison can be extracted.

As an assassin, Sean is also an expert in using poison, but this poison is colorless and odorless, and there are no symptoms when he is first poisoned, so he didn't notice it.

This is a neurotoxin, and Sean's exercise just now has accelerated the onset of the poison.

"Go to hell!" Sean started to attack frantically with a dagger. He knew that only by killing Herag could he have a chance to find an antidote.

But his strength dropped significantly after being poisoned, and every attack was easily blocked by Herag.

"I have to run away." He felt his breathing was a little rapid, and his hands and feet could no longer be used freely. If he didn't run away, he would die in Herag's hands.

Sean stared at Herag, and then disappeared into the darkness. As an assassin, he had many ways to escape.

Herag stood there and smiled, and calmly bent his bow and arrow, aiming at an open space not far away.

Whoosh!

Sean appeared with a scream, and a bow and arrow stuck in his back.

Under Deep Blue's precise calculation, Sean in his prime had to concentrate to dodge Hellagur's arrows, not to mention Sean who was poisoned now.

"How did you find me?" Sean's tone became calm at this time, he already knew his fate.

Hellagur didn't say anything, and drew his bow and arrow again.

Sean looked straight at Hellagur, not dodging or evading. In fact, his legs had lost consciousness. He said in a deep voice: "Why can you dodge my attacks every time? You are not even a knight."

Herag loosened the tight bowstring expressionlessly, and said at the same time: "Because... I cheated."

His words and the arrow entered Sean's head at the same time, a flower of blood splashed out, and Sean fell on his back.

Before he died, his eyes were confused: "What does cheating mean..."

These two obscure words were combined together, and Sean didn't understand their meaning until he died.

After Sean fell to the ground, Herag added two more arrows, and only slowly approached the body on the ground after Deep Blue confirmed his death.

"So poor?"

Herag searched everywhere and found that Sean didn't have any gold coins, not even a copper coin.

Only a pair of daggers on Sean looked good, and nothing else.

After getting rid of Sean, Herag carried a long sword on his back, held a longbow, and looked quietly into the depths of the forest, as if thinking about something.

After a while, he chose to return to the direction where Emil was.

He remembered that Jimmy and his men had run out under his cover, and they should have gone to the castle to find reinforcements.

But it was six days' journey from here to the castle, so there was no time at all.

No matter how strong Emile was, he probably couldn't deal with two knight-level masters alone, and there were people outside who were waiting outside and shooting arrows.

He shuttled quickly through the forest, his black figure like a ghost, swift and silent.
