Chapter 33 Carragher Continent
After sailing for seven days, the ship briefly docked at an island called Colombo. [🆆🆆🆆🆂🆃♦♦♦♦🅲♦🅼]
The island is not large, but it is very lively, with people coming and going at the port.
Herag and a group of wizard apprentices came to the deck. Dino stood in front and said, "We will stay here for one night. You can go to the island to relax. But remember, I will leave on time at noon tomorrow and will not wait for anyone. Also, this is our Dream Island, which is looked after by wizards. Most of the people on the island are ordinary people. If anyone dares to mess around, they will be prepared to be punished by the wizards."
Dino knew that this group of people had been too depressed some time ago. It happened that Colombo Island had a developed business, with many pubs, hotels and strippers, which allowed them to relax here.
It happened that the fresh water on the ship also needed to be replenished, so Dino simply drove the boat here directly.
After getting off the boat, Lillian went straight to a hotel. Herag asked, "Why are you in such a hurry to come here?"
"I haven't taken a bath for several months." Lillian paid for a room without looking back, and then went upstairs to take a bath.
There was no way to take a bath on the boat, and all the fresh water was very precious, which was the most unbearable thing for Lillian.
However, Lillian had been prepared. She had an enchanted towel that was always wet and could be used to wipe the body.
Herag had seen the towel, but Lillian didn't let him touch it. He guessed that the magic inside should absorb moisture in the air.
He went downstairs and opened a room for himself. The price here was not cheap. A room cost a whole silver coin for one night.
Herag looked at the furnishings in the room. It was simple but clean, and the items were neatly arranged.
He waited for a while after taking a bath, and Lillian finished cleaning up, and then the two went out together.
As night fell, Colombo Island became more lively, and people were singing, dancing and drinking around the bonfire everywhere.
There is also a long commercial street here. Most vendors spread a blanket on the ground and then put the goods they want to sell on it.
There are many kinds of goods, including hand-woven hats and baskets, clay jars and pots for burning paper, and various antiques.
When Herag passed by a stall, something caught his attention. He squatted beside the stall and calmly picked up an antique vase and asked, "How much is this?"
The stall owner was a bald middle-aged man. He was holding a black cat. He glanced at the vase and said, "Twenty silver coins."
"Too expensive." Herag put the vase down.
"This is fake. Why did you buy it?" Lillian asked in confusion.
"Just take a look."
Herag then picked up a few more things and asked the price. Finally, he picked a few things at random, spending a total of sixteen silver coins.
Lillian looked at him sideways and said nothing. After the two of them had dinner and returned to the hotel, Lillian came to the room and closed the door and asked, "What were you doing just now? Did you find something good? Show me."
Herag took out a hexagonal plate. The plate was made of some kind of wood and was black in color. There was also a painting in the middle of the plate. The painting was a hexagonal tower, exactly the same as the one in the pocket watch.
Lillian took the plate and looked at it carefully, wondering, "Is this a treasure? I didn't see anything unusual, and there was no magic flow."
"Maybe it's not a treasure. I've seen this painting in the middle of the plate before, so I bought it." Herag explained. He was actually not sure whether this thing was valuable, but this painting was exactly the same as the one in the pocket watch.
Lillian lost interest when he heard him say this: "I thought it was a big treasure, boring."
"Okay, I'm tired too, go to sleep." Herag lay on the soft bed, feeling sleepy, and he was ready to have a good sleep today.
Since he learned the meditation method, he has hardly slept, and he has replaced sleep with meditation.
…
The ship stayed in Colombo for a short night, and then accelerated to the Karage continent.
More than 20 days later, Herag stood on the deck and saw the shadow of the continent in the distance.
The ship docked at the Ruby Port, and all the wizard apprentices disembarked here.
Dino walked in front and said to everyone: "Everyone, follow me."
He led a group of people through the street and came to a tavern called the Leaky Cauldron.
"Hey! It's Dino!"
"He's back with newcomers."
"Let me see, there are quite a few newcomers this time."
"Young men, welcome to the Karage continent!"
…
Dino attracted a lot of attention as soon as he walked into the tavern. Many people greeted him, and the wizard apprentices he brought with him became a new topic of conversation for everyone in the tavern.
Herag noticed that everyone here was a wizard without exception, and most of them were wizard apprentices.
"I didn't see any wizards outside just now, why are there so many here? Is this a wizard-only tavern?" Herag was a little confused. He guessed that there must be some magic at the door of the tavern that he didn't notice, so only wizards could see and enter this tavern.
Lillian stood out among the crowd. Many people whistled at her, but Lillian didn't even look at these greasy wizards.
Dino led them through the tavern and came to a wall in the backyard.
He walked to the front of the wall, pressed several bricks on the wall one by one, and then said, "Melinda!"
The wall made a rumbling sound, and then the bricks separated to the left and right, revealing a road.
The world behind the wall was completely different from the yard. Behind the wall was a forest, and a bluestone road stretched into the depths of the forest. The light in the forest was dim, and there were birds singing, but the sun was strong in the yard and the weather was good.
Herag and others were a little surprised at this strange scene. They were all seeing this kind of scene for the first time.
Dino seemed to have gotten used to it. He took the lead and waved his hand behind him: "Let's go."
Everyone followed him into the world behind the wall. Many people looked back after walking past, but the back looked like an ordinary forest, and the wall had disappeared.
Dino turned around and said, "People from various wizard organizations are in front. You will listen to my arrangements later. The journey of several months ends today. I wish you good luck."
He put his left hand on his chest and bowed to make a gentleman's salute.
"Thank you Mr. Dino for taking care of us along the way." Lillian, wearing a long skirt, returned the greeting by holding the hem of her skirt.
Others also saluted and thanked him. Dino was indeed very responsible along the way, at least he made them all arrive at their destination safely.
There was no sunlight in the dark forest, and thick fog filled the air.
Herag looked up and saw thick white fog above the forest, and the position of the sun could not be seen at all.
Occasionally, a few crows cried in the distance, adding a bit of bleak feeling.
