Chapter 36 A New Beginning
"Sign your name here after filling it out." Larry pointed to a blank space at the end and said.
Herag checked it again, confirmed that all the information was filled in, and signed his name at the bottom.
"Herag Merlin."
The form instantly ignited with blue flames. Herag subconsciously retracted his hand, and then found that the flame had no temperature.
The flame spread quickly, and the entire form was quickly burned clean, leaving no ash.
"Welcome to join Moonlight Glade." Larry said lightly.
Jennifer tore out a small piece of paper, then picked up a seal and stamped it heavily. The force was so great that Herag wondered if he was afraid of crushing the paper.
"Go to the Material Affairs Office to pick up your things." Jennifer handed the note out of the window.
Herag took a look. The note had his simple information and a list of supplies.
"A wizard apprentice robe."
"A magic web rune."
"Three course selection coupons."
"A dormitory in the northern forest area. ”
“One first-floor library card.”
“One magic stone.”
…
The list is quite long, with a lot of stuff.
There are a lot of people at the window of the Material Affairs Office, and a long line has formed.
“Mr. Larry!”
“Good evening, Mr. Larry!”
“It seems that this is a newcomer, and a handsome guy at that!”
“Mr. Larry, when will your Herbology class start again, or can I pay for it separately?”
…
The people in line are all wizard apprentices. When someone finds Larry, others turn around and say hello.
Larry said expressionlessly: “I’ve been busy doing experiments recently, so I don’t have time to teach or tutor.”
“Mr. Larry, are you teaching Herbology?” Herag asked.
“I usually teach Herbology and Potions, but I don’t have time to teach recently. "Larry said.
After waiting in line for a while, Herag signed on a list and then received his own pile of things.
The wizard apprentice robe is gray-brown and feels very soft. This robe has a certain magical defense ability and can reduce the damage of spells.
The magic net rune is a rectangular transparent crystal. After Herag inputs magic power, a virtual screen is projected on the crystal. There are options such as friends, class schedules, tasks, and tavern chats on the screen.
Larry took out a similar rune and said: "The magic net is a wide-area spell jointly developed by our wizard organization in Karag. It is mainly used for information transmission. The magic net has been established for two thousand years.
"The rune is very important. You must learn how to use it. Through the rune, you can contact other wizards. You can view courses and sign up for courses on the rune, and you can also browse tasks posted by others on it. In the upper right corner is your number. Others can add your friends and contact you through this number. There are many functions. You should learn more."
"Isn't this a communicator?" Herag got started quickly and took the initiative to add Larry as a friend.
The course selection vouchers are three green cards, with the Moonlight Forest logo on the front and instructions on the back.
Larry introduced: "Many formal wizards in the organization will offer various courses, and you need to register for these courses at least one week in advance. You can check which courses are available this month through the course schedule, and you can find out the time and location of the courses."
"General course registration requires payment of gold coins or magic stones, and some courses have separate requirements for teachers, such as requiring you to provide certain materials before registration. And the three course coupons in your hand can be used to register for any ordinary course."
"You have to think carefully before using these three coupons. It is recommended that you register for some basic courses. Even if you register for advanced courses, you will not understand them, and it will be a waste of opportunity."
Helag asked: "Does Mr. Larry recommend any courses?"
Larry thought: "Mr. Oleg Zotev's "Basic Principles of Spell Model Construction" and Ms. Lori Evan's "Basic Principles of Meditation" are more suitable for you. It is definitely right to choose these two. For the others, you need to decide what to learn based on your own situation."
"Thank you, Mr. Larry. If your herbology and potion courses are open, I will definitely sign up." Helag smiled.
"I suggest you study these two courses later. You need enough funds to support. You can't do many experiments without money. Those materials are very expensive." Larry said seriously.
Herag took out the black magic stone and asked, "How much gold coins is the magic stone worth?"
"The market price is one hundred gold coins, but no one will sell the magic stone for gold coins, otherwise others will think you are a fool. Many transactions between wizards are settled in magic stones, not gold coins."
Larry took Herag out of the affairs hall and went to the dormitory in the northern forest area.
Herag took out a copper key with a small wooden sign tied to the end of the key. The sign read: "Room 443, Northern Forest Area."
The interior of the Moonlight Forest is larger than what Herag saw outside. He came out of the affairs hall and walked through the streets and alleys. It took him half an hour to reach the dormitory in the northern forest area.
The northern forest area is a mountain forest with dense trees, but there are three-story cottages distributed in the mountains and forests.
These are dormitories for wizard apprentices, one for each apprentice.
On his way to Room 443, Herag found that each of these houses was different, with all kinds of colors. Some houses even had vegetable gardens next to them, which looked well-maintained.
Larry explained: "After the houses here are assigned to you, they belong to you, so you can modify them as you like."
"Where do you live, Mr. Larry?" Herag asked curiously.
"I live in the town." Larry said.
"The town?"
Larry stopped and looked back at the buildings behind him and said: "The area we just walked through is called the town, and only formal wizards can live there. The northern forest area is generally provided to wizard apprentices, but some people still stay in the northern forest area after being promoted to formal wizards. It all depends on personal preference."
"The houses in the town all have space magic, and the internal space is actually very large."
"I see." Herag himself prefers these houses alone in the mountains and forests, which are quieter.
"This is it, my mission is completed, if you still don't understand anything, you can go to the affairs hall for consultation, and someone there will answer you." Larry said that he turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared.
"Mr. Larry got off work really quickly." Herag didn't have time to thank him.
He looked back at his house, a three-story detached house surrounded by dense jungles, and a stream flowing not far away.
Such an environment, except for lack of fireworks, is very suitable for wizard life. After all, wizards need a quiet environment for meditation and experimental research.
