Chapter 6 Hunting in the Dark
In the forest ahead, an enemy was holding a longbow, leaning against a tree. He had just shot an arrow, but missed.
He didn't expect to hit anyone. The leader's task for them was to suppress the enemy with firepower and ensure that the enemy didn't escape.
Their plan was very successful. The arrows on their side never stopped, and it was difficult for the enemy to rush out for the time being.
He put on another arrow, observed the movements around him, and then quietly turned sideways to prepare for another arrow.
There was a sudden pain in his forehead. He widened his eyes and found that an arrow had shot his head the moment he appeared.
"Why am I so unlucky..." His consciousness gradually fell into darkness. Before he died, he didn't figure out why his luck was so bad.
He didn't believe that the enemy was aiming at him. In such a dark night, he could only release it at will, but he just happened to hit him.
After Herag hit the target with this arrow, he bent his bow and put on the arrow again, aiming at another tree.
The moment the person behind the tree appeared, Herag released the bowstring, and the other person fell down.
"Charge!" Emil rushed out first before he could admire Herag's archery.
His knight-level body allowed him to see clearly in the dark, but not as clearly as Herag, and he couldn't see very far.
After Emil found that Herag had shot two people in a row, he decisively chose to break out.
He used the trees in the jungle as a cover to avoid arrows. After a few moments, he approached an enemy and chopped down with a sword, and the man's head fell to the ground.
Herag and others followed closely behind him, and he was also looking for opportunities while moving forward.
As long as the opponent showed his head, he would raise his hand and shoot an arrow, and he had never missed so far.
"Warning!"
The vision suddenly flashed red, and Deep Blue gave a prompt to dodge to the right.
Herag did not hesitate at all and immediately rolled to the right.
A giant sword followed and fell to his previous position.
"Huh?" The man who threw the giant sword to attack exclaimed lightly, obviously not expecting Herag to be able to dodge this attack.
Herag was terrified. If he hadn't dodged, he would have been split open by the giant sword.
He relied on Deep Blue's hint to dodge, but the others were not so lucky.
The three people who chased him were all knights, and the other two killed a guard each.
The bearded Hagen covered his neck with both hands. He was slashed by a thin man with a dagger, and fell to the ground weakly, with blood all over the floor.
The third knight-level warrior also used a sword with a very slender blade. This kind of sword is generally used to perform fancy court swordsmanship.
This person has a graceful figure. Herag took a closer look and found that she was actually a woman.
The female knight killed a guard with a sword through the throat, and turned to stare at Herag.
"Deep Blue, check the other party's physical data."
"Strength 1, Agility 3, Constitution 9, Spirit 2, and the body contains unknown energy."
Herag put away the longbow and drew out the long sword.
The opponent was much more agile than him. Running would only expose his back and kill him faster. He could only fight to the death.
At this time, a hand pressed his shoulder.
Emil, who was about to rush out, turned back and said to the surviving Herag and his men: "You go first, they are coming for me."
"Emile, I thought you ran away like a mouse." The man holding the giant sword laughed.
Emil had a blank expression: "Long time no see, Marco."
Marco gritted his teeth and pointed at Emil angrily and said: "You are still so annoying, always looking high and mighty, looking down on everyone! I am also a knight now, and I will completely trample you under my feet tonight..."
Herag didn't hear what he said later. He and the remaining four people were facing another trouble.
Three knight-level strongmen went to deal with Emil, and the remaining two teams of archers all came to deal with Herag and his men.
They stayed in the forest in front, suppressing Herag and his men with bows and arrows, and not letting them go out.
Herag took off the longbow on his back and said to Jimmy and the others, "I'll kill them, you guys act accordingly."
"Deep Blue, plan the best route, aim to kill all the enemies."
"Route planning is complete."
A map with routes and enemy positions marked appeared in front of him. Herag observed the map from a bird's-eye view and then began to hunt.
Deep Blue monitored the actions of all the enemies at the same time, and the trajectories of the arrows were all predicted and displayed in advance.
Herag easily dodged these arrows in the dark night, bent his bow and shot the enemies in the woods one by one.
At first, these people didn't feel anything. As more and more people fell, they realized why there were so many fewer people on their side.
Herag was like a ghost lurking in the dark night, and they couldn't locate his position at all.
When Herag killed a person, he immediately changed his position according to the route. The arrows would always shoot at the position where he was before, and these people's movements were always a beat slower.
After he shot the eleventh person, these people finally couldn't stand the huge pressure and began to retreat.
"Help our Lord Marco, they have a knight-level archer!" A man cried and ran to the four people who were fighting fiercely.
Marco frowned: "Knight-level archer? The intelligence didn't mention it, Sean, you go and deal with him!"
Sean was the thin man with a dagger. He disappeared silently in the darkness, which is a common concealment method used by assassins.
It is common sense that assassins are the best to deal with shooters.
"A knight is approaching!"
The moment Sean entered the range, Deep Blue gave a warning and marked the location on the map.
Herage turned around and looked around. There seemed to be no one in that position.
If it weren't for Shenlan's reminder, he probably wouldn't have been able to notice this person touching his back.
He was hiding behind a tree and seemed to be shooting an arrow forward, but suddenly changed direction and shot Sean instead.
Sean, who was advancing silently, saw this scene, his muscles tensed up and his pupils shrank.
"It's at least a hundred meters away. How did he find me?" This thought flashed through Sean's mind.
The arrow was already close to his face. Sean twisted his body in a weird posture and barely dodged the unexpected arrow.
But his right arm was still scratched and the skin was a little broken.
This small injury was innocuous, and Sean didn't take it to heart.
He dodged the arrow and felt more confident.
"The opponent is not a knight-level archer, he just has accurate archery skills." He came to this conclusion based on the speed of the bow and arrow.
The arrow that Herague suddenly attacked failed to hit, and Sean thought that he would be less likely to be hit by the arrow now that he was prepared.
On the other side, Herage immediately changed his position and went deeper into the forest after seeing the arrow miss.
"Want to escape?" A smile appeared on Sean's lips. The assassin's favorite thing was to hunt down escaped prey.
