Chapter 607 Diana's Battle
Diana walked along the muddy dirt road into the depths of the forest. In fact, the pointed-roof buildings in the depths of the forest were not that far away from her. The occasional shouts made her nervous.
On the side of the road, a wooden sign attracted her attention. The sign looked a bit old, crookedly stuck in the mud, and it was just a push away from falling.
She lifted the crooked sign and saw that it read: 186 Henwick Street.
Was this a street? Diana was a little puzzled. This should be a forest. The land under her feet extended to the back of the small mound in front. Looking back, a gray stone mountain ended all the roads.
She crawled out of the basement of the cabin at the foot of the mountain.
Throwing away the wooden sign, Diana continued to move forward. Along the way, she felt more and more that this place was very abnormal. The withered grass beside the road grew to her waist, and a pair of white shoes appeared in her sight.
Diana wanted to squat down, but was pricked by the waist armor, grimacing in pain. She could only use the tip of the Moonlight Greatsword to poke the shoes and observe them briefly.
These shoes were women's shoes, but Diana's knowledge reserve was obviously not enough. She couldn't tell whether these shoes were worn by the rich class or shoes that ordinary farmhands could afford to wear, but it didn't matter. What Diana wanted to know most was where the owner of these shoes was.
There was a relatively new footprint on the mud. Diana followed the footprint and saw that the owner of the shoes ran forward for a long time.
So she followed the footprint and walked forward. It was hard to explain why, maybe just to make herself less like a headless fly, and also to find a living person to ask clearly where this place was.
"Quick, quack, quack..."
Diana walked for almost a few hundred meters, and the footprints on the ground became lighter, until behind a tree, there was an unsettling tearing sound.
"Is there anyone behind?" Diana said softly to the back of the tree, holding the hilt tightly with both hands, thinking that if something strange flew over, she would chop it hard.
The sound behind the tree stopped, and only the chirping of insects was left around.
"Is there anyone behind?" Diana asked again, moving slowly to the left with the tree as the center point.
She saw a person wearing a dirty cloth skirt and a gray robe, kneeling behind the tree, busy with something. The person had long hair, which was dirty and tangled. Diana could smell a feces odor from a long distance.
"Oh... It stinks... Whoever you are, stand up slowly and turn to me. I want to ask you some questions." Diana said vigilantly.
In the plot of horror movies, what happens next is nothing more than the heroine approaching without any precautions, trying to pat the shoulder to attract the other party's attention, and then being bitten to death by the mutated other party.
Diana doesn't buy that. In this desolate forest, can a person kneeling in a pile of weeds with a feces odor be a normal person? Anyone with a brain can guess it.
The man slowly stood up, and Diana saw the fruit knife in his hand. She calmed down and immediately caught the rusty blade covered with blood and some pink minced meat. At the same time, she also saw a pair of white legs half exposed from the bushes, with a piece missing from the calf.
"Well... it seems that I disturbed you." Diana shook her head and ran towards the man.
When the man turned around, only a pair of eyes were left on the whole face. The pupils and whites of the eyes were black, and the nose and mouth were all rotten. From a distance, there was only a black hole left on the lower half of the face.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!!!" The man screamed.
Diana used the muscles of her arms to swing the moonlight sword upwards, cutting into the man's abdomen with one blow, cutting out from the jaw, lifting him into the air, and splitting him in half.
The heavy sword fell to the ground. Although the strange man was killed in one encounter, Diana did not relax, because strange screams began to come from all around.
She looked at the chopped corpse in the bushes. No matter who she was before, she was just a pile of rotten meat now. Diana guessed that she was also a childbearer transported by the bag.
As the strange cry continued to approach, a group of weirdos holding dung forks and kitchen knives rushed over from the end of the path. From the sound, they seemed to be women.
Diana counted them, a total of six.
The next second, they rushed in front of Diana, waving the sharp weapons in their hands and greeting her.
She raised the hilt of the sword with her left hand, and the big sword turned a circle in her hand. Then she held the hilt of the sword with her right hand, holding the sword with both hands, and cut the waist and abdomen of the two monsters horizontally. Her posture turned with the trend, and her steps were steady, moving outside the encirclement of the monsters.
At this time, Diana was just beside another monster. In less than 2 seconds, Diana took a step back and stabbed the sword again. The action was done in one go, cutting off a large piece of the monster's chest, and then pressed down with force, subduing him on the ground.
Then, Diana took another step forward, and the moonlight drew an arc above her head, chopping off the heads and necks of the two monsters. The black heads flew out and fell into the weeds and could not be found again.
The dung fork rubbed sparks on the shoulder armor. Diana frowned and took two steps back. In her blind spot, the last monster was fighting with me and the dung fork.
Diana took off her helmet, turned it back into a small holy diamond, held it in her mouth, shook off her long hair, and rushed towards the monster. She rotated the blade, cut off the pole of the dung fork along with the monster's arm, then turned around, took a step to the right front, and chopped it. The blade cut off the monster's collarbone and embedded it in his sternum.
The monster sat on the ground with a thud, screaming. Diana stepped on the blade of Moonlight's sword, exerted force on her thigh, stepped on the blade, and cut the monster in half.
With a swish, Moonlight's sword turned into a purple holy diamond in her hand. She spit out the holy diamond from her mouth, wiped it on the weeds, and held it in her palm. After confirming that the monsters on the ground were dead, Diana walked towards the building complex.
The white bungalows were scattered around, but as soon as she entered the building complex, Diana noticed that the touch under her feet had changed. She lowered her head and crawled away the weeds with her feet, revealing some gray-white streets in the soil.
It seems that this was indeed a street before, but judging from the surrounding environment, it is similar to the mountainous area. Diana can't turn into flames and fly now, and she doesn't know what the situation is in the farther surroundings.
The doors of the low bungalows were sealed with wooden boards. It was dead here. Maybe the group of weirdos just now were the only residents. Diana continued to explore forward, trying to find a way out of here, when she suddenly heard a slight cough coming from behind a window.
