Chapter 605: The Road to Contribution
Poloz led Diana along the Thames for a long time, with the moon hanging quietly above their heads.
From time to time, a security team carrying a lantern passed by the street in front, and Poloz stopped in the shadow of the building just right to avoid it. Finally, the two came to their destination: in front of a small church standing at the intersection of the street.
Diana looked up and looked at the church. It was completely different from the church she remembered. Even by the standards of a small community church in 2009, this church seemed too dilapidated, as if no one used or took care of it on weekdays.
"Bang bang bang bang..."
Poloz knocked on the door three times rhythmically, and the wooden door was shaken of dust. She stopped for a while, then looked at the street behind her vigilantly.
Diana felt something approaching, but she didn't have the skill of psychic vision, so she couldn't see what was behind the door.
At this time, a chill seeped out from the crack of the door, and the small window on the door slid open. It was dark inside, and Diana stood on the side and couldn't see anything.
"Secret code..." A strange voice floated out of the small window, and it was hard to tell whether it was a man or a woman.
"Fear the blood of the ancient gods." Poloz whispered.
Creaking... thump thump thump...
The wooden door opened a crack, and a cold wind blew out from inside.
Poloz glanced at Diana, motioned her to follow, and the two quickly went in.
Just after entering the door, Diana's eyes had not yet adapted to the darkness inside, and she only felt that her eyes were pitch black. The door slammed shut behind her. She subconsciously looked back and didn't feel that there was anyone around.
Who opened the door?
Diana stood still in the dark, waiting for her vision to adapt to the surrounding environment.
"Diana, follow me." Poloz's voice came from the front.
"I can't see anything." Diana said.
"This way." Poloz took Diana's hand and led her forward.
In the darkness, Diana reached for a chair beside her, and her vision adjusted a little bit. She saw the basic appearance of the small church. It was not big, with several rows of benches, and the prayer platform in front was about ten steps away from her.
On both sides of the prayer platform, there was a spiral staircase going down. They went down from one of them and walked for a long time before reaching the bottom.
The church itself was not big, but there was a small room that was quite spacious underground. There was a stone bed in the middle of the room, and candles were lit at the four corners, making the room a rare light.
Diana also saw a white stone tablet behind the stone bed, which was covered with bloody handprints, which was very scary.
They were not alone, because there were already four people waiting here. They were all wearing brown-green hooded robes. One of them was much taller than the others and was holding a sack in his hand.
"You finally brought a sister." A hooded man spoke, and it sounded like a woman.
"Let's get started." Poloz smiled.
Poloz looked at Diana and stretched out his hand.
"Where is this? What are we going to do?" Diana asked.
"This is the place where your wish comes true. Wait for the ceremony to be completed, and we will be a family." Poloz said with a smile.
Diana saw that the people behind her were preparing something. They picked up the copper pot placed next to the stone platform and poured red liquid into the silver goblet, which looked like blood.
"Diana, take off your clothes." Poloz said, taking the wine glass from his companion.
"You said you brought me out to have fun." Diana said.
Poloz put the small hourglass on the stone platform, then put his finger into the cup and stained it with blood.
Diana couldn't get rid of the influence of the hourglass. She unbuttoned and let the white shirt slide down her body curve to the ground, and then took off her skirt.
When she took off her clothes, the people in hooded robes couldn't help but secretly admire.
"She will be a perfect vessel."
"She is stronger than ordinary women. I hope this one will mutate more slowly..."
"Look at how strong her abdomen is! She will definitely give birth to a healthy son of God."
They whispered.
Poloz walked to Diana and smeared the blood on Diana's body. He drew two fingers across her collarbone, then drew a circle on her abdominal muscles along the chest line, and left a little at her belly button.
She went around Diana's back and smeared it on her back muscles.
Diana felt that the blood was still warm and sticky on her skin, which was a bit uncomfortable, but her body refused to obey her command. She stuck indifferently and let Poloz smear it on her body.
Her arms, thighs and calves were all painted with inexplicable symbols with blood.
"You will become His bride, Diana, and give birth to the heir of God. Isn't this what you have always longed for?" Poloz smiled.
"Poloz, you are doing something dangerous." Diana stopped pretending. She had figured out Poloz's purpose. Now, she would break free, burn these heretics to death, and take away the small hourglass.
Diana's body was covered with flame patterns, and her hair turned red from the roots.
"Ha! It's a witch! Control her."
"Control her! Let the witch give birth to a child for the god! That's the best!"
The robed men said viciously.
Diana frowned. It seemed that this group of people knew a lot, even witches.
Poloz was also a little surprised. After all, she had never thought that she would meet a witch before.
Diana had just started to burn, but the flames on her body went out. The patterns of the flames were covered by the blood on her body. The blood slowly seeped into her skin, suppressing her witch power.
"This blood..." Diana crossed her arms in front of her chest and tried to awaken the fire in her heart again, but as soon as the power surged, a big cockroach's face appeared in front of her eyes.
"What! Fuck!" Diana took a step back.
Poloz laughed, grabbed the small hourglass, and pointed it at Diana.
Diana stood still, her hands slowly hanging down on both sides of her body. Her muscles were tense, fighting against the small hourglass, but in vain.
"Diana... drink it." Poloz handed the silver cup to Diana's lips.
"Dream on!" Diana said secretly, she closed her lips tightly, clenched her teeth, and tried to turn her face to one side.
"Think about your wish... You will embark on the road to the delivery room, Diana, open your mouth and drink it." Poloz said coldly.
Diana's mouth slowly opened, and Poloz poured all the remaining blood in the cup into her mouth. The dark red blood, which was still warm, gurgled down her throat and reached the bottom of her stomach.
Diana frowned, her face flushed, and a red rash suddenly appeared on her body. She felt a severe burning in her stomach. The blood burned her intestines and stomach like sulfuric acid.
Diana felt uncomfortable, and an extremely disgusting expression appeared on her face. She contracted her abdominal muscles and vomited half of the blood, spraying it on her chest and Poloz's apron.
Diana knelt on the ground, looked up and saw cockroaches crawling on the walls and the ground. Those cockroaches flapped their wings and took a short flight, landing on Diana.
She was so scared that she quickly slapped her arms and thighs, trying to slap the cockroaches away, but her palms only touched her skin. These cockroaches were hallucinations.
Diana slowly lay on the ground, her brain hurt so much that she curled up, sighed, and passed out.
Poloz smiled and turned to look at his companion who was carrying the sack.
"Take her to the delivery room."
