Red Soviet Union

Chapter 8 Drinking

No matter in which country, flying is a noble profession, and pilots are paid the highest. In the Soviet Union, the highest-ranking civilian was the KGB, and the next highest was the military.

As Sokolovka was the front line of the Cold War, all the pilots in the base lived in a building built specifically for them. There was hot water available 24 hours a day, two people in a single room, a separate bathroom, and a TV in the house.

After taking off their anti-gravity suits in the pilot duty room below the tower and changing back into their own clothes, the two walked towards the dormitory.

Pushing open the door of the dormitory, Andre hurried to the bathroom first. Right inside the bathroom, he smelled a strong smell of alcohol.

When I pushed open the bathroom door, I saw the tall Belenko sitting at the table next to the window, pouring wine from a bottle into a glass. The strong smell of alcohol filled the whole room.

"Captain Belenko, are you drinking alcohol?" Andrei was shocked.

This guy usually loves drinking. Now that he has no wine to drink, he actually stole alcohol and mixed it with water to drink!

This is industrial alcohol. It is not brewed from grains, but made using industrial methods. It contains a small amount of methanol, which can cause blindness if you drink it!

It is easy to get industrial alcohol at this base because the MiG-25 is designed to drink.

The engine of the MiG-25 requires a very large flow of air, but if the air intake is too large, the wind resistance will also increase. In order to increase the air intake density, the air intake temperature must be reduced, so that the air intake volume can be increased. There is a shower-like water spray device in the MiG-25's air intake to cool the air and increase the air density. This is not pure water, but a mixed solution of water and ethanol. Ethanol can enhance the volatility of the solution and strengthen the effect. Therefore, in addition to carrying a huge amount of fuel in the aircraft, the MiG-25 also carries a 250-liter water tank for a mixed solution of water and ethanol.

"All the vodka around the base is sold out." Belenko said, "I got this alcohol. Come on, have a sip."

Andrei shook his head. Most Soviet people like to drink, and after drinking, they like to beat their wives.

"The base is already on level one combat readiness, and a fight could break out at any time." Andre said, "I have to keep a clear head."

"Andrei, you don't need to be too clear-headed here. It's best to be confused." Belenko said, "I never thought that it would be the same in the front-line troops! It's just like in the flight test center. There is no pure land! By the way, please write the flight report."

Belenko was worried and quite dissatisfied with the current situation. Looking at this guy who was drinking, Andrei knew what he was depressed about.

It was no longer the time when the whole country was filled with a positive and optimistic atmosphere after the Great Patriotic War. The Soviet Union was already in its 76th year and seemed quite powerful. It had the upper hand in the competition with the United States, and Brezhnev was even more aggressive. However, the shortcomings of the Soviet Union began to emerge at this time. The bureaucracy was serious, interest groups were formed, and Brezhnev's lifelong system of cadres made the Soviet Union a country ruled by the elderly without any vitality. Eventually, the huge red empire collapsed in the stormy times.

Of course Andrei knew all of this. If he were to travel through time and space and be reborn as the general secretary of a Soviet republic, or a high-ranking official in Moscow, perhaps he would be able to change all of this. But now, he was just a low-level pilot.

There are only fifteen years until the collapse of the Soviet Union! Andrei, who was full of thoughts, watched Belenko drinking industrial alcohol and water one cup after another, and hurriedly said, "Captain Belenko, don't drink that alcohol, I'll take you out to drink!"

Going out for a drink? Belenko said, "There's no alcohol around the base."

"Let's go to the bar," Andrei said. "I know there's a bar in the town of Qiuguyevka. Let's go there and have a good drink!"

Bar? Hearing Andrei's words, Belenko put down the cup he was adding water to. The water in the previous cup was too little, and the alcohol was a bit too much, so it tasted very spicy.

"Okay, let's go have a good drink! But, Andre, I remember you didn't drink before?"

…………

Qiuguyevka is an ordinary Far Eastern town with no heavy industry. The residents are mainly engaged in agricultural production in collective farms. There are low bungalows everywhere. Only when you reach the center of the town can you see two or three-story buildings. The symbols of sickle and axe can be seen everywhere.

In fact, this place used to be just a small village. It gradually prospered after the establishment of the Sokolovka base. Another major task of the town is to ensure the personnel consumption of the officers and soldiers in the Sokolovka base.

In the planned economy of the Soviet Union, mentioning consumption seems a bit redundant. In the base, everyone from pilots to ground crews were given uniform underwear. However, people, after all, not only need to meet basic needs, but also have material and spiritual needs.

Chuguyevka has a cinema, shops and theaters, a bookstore, and bars.

Soviet men all love to drink, which is also a basic necessity for people living in cold areas.

An open-top GAZ-69 car stopped at the door of a bar in the center of the town, and Andrei and Belenko jumped out of the car.

Just as his feet stepped onto the steps of the bar, Belenko suddenly stopped.

A girl was walking down the street ahead.

The black tank top is well-proportioned, and her chest is so full that it seems like it is about to burst through the top. She is wearing a pair of shorts that are almost to the base of her thighs. Her bare calves are so sexy, and she is wearing high-waisted boots. Just looking at this body, she is simply a beauty on earth.

And looking at her face again, it is even more exquisite, making people sigh at the grace of the Creator. The pair of big eyes under the long eyelashes seem to be able to speak, the high nose bridge, the small mouth, the wavy hair, draped behind her, every smile and frown, she seems like a goddess who is not of this world, with noble temperament and charming beauty.

As long as a man sees a beautiful girl, his first impression is like this! Andre couldn't help but take a few more glances. In the later generations, his aesthetic concept was still the Chinese standard. Now it seems that Maozi girls also have a unique charm.

"Ouch." Before she reached the two men, the girl suddenly screamed. One of her boots, with a heel several centimeters high, was stuck in the hole of the iron cover of the sewer. When she lowered her head, she could see the two swaying balls of flesh inside through the collar of her tank top.

The handbag in her hand was thrown out and landed at Andre's feet.

Before Andrei could move, Belenko, who was standing next to him, had already quickly picked up the bag, ran two steps, and supported the girl: "Comrade, do you need help with your bag?"

The girl gave Belenko a grateful smile and said, "I think my foot is sprained. Could you please unzip my boots so I can take my foot out?"

Belenko bent down, his hands seemed to be shaking a little, and in front of him was the white calves. Belenko slowly unzipped the girl's boots.

Shit, doesn't this guy have a wife and kids? Why is he acting like a perennial jerk who usually only masturbates to Japanese cartoons and suddenly faces the goddess of his heart?
