Chapter 652 Meeting the King
After saying this, the gods quickly said to Sun Wukong: "Your master is really kind. We will help you now."
After hearing this, Sun Wukong thought seriously for a long time and then continued:
"Of course, this is only a small part of what I said. You can't let them cry when they are scared. After I kill demons and govern the country, return these children to me."
After hearing the order, the gods showed their magical powers and jumped down from the clouds. After a while, a dark wind rolled throughout the city.
At midnight, all the gods took away all the goose cages and hid them in a place. Sun Wukong jumped off the cloud and came to Tang Xuanzang's side. Hearing that Tang Xuanzang was still whispering there, Sun Wukong was very happy and said:
"Master, I'm back now. Do you hear the sound of the howling wind?"
When Zhu Bajie heard this, he remembered the bad memories just now and said to Sun Wukong: "This evil wind is blowing well!"
However, Tang Xuanzang wanted to save those children and said to Sun Wukong: "What about those children now?"
Sun Wukong smiled and said: "Master, you don't have to worry about this anymore. I have rescued them all and will send them back when we leave."
Tang Xuanzang thanked the sky, and then slowly fell into sleep.
At daybreak, Tang Xuanzang woke up, packed his luggage, and said, "Wukong, I see it's already dawn. Come with me to change the customs clearance disc."
Hearing this, Sun Wukong said: "Master, I'm afraid it won't be useful if you go alone. Let me go with you to see if the Taoist priest is a monster."
"You refused to salute at all when you saw the king. I'm afraid the king will blame me."
At this time, Tang Xuanzang was still worried about this problem, because Sun Wukong was arrogant and bold. These problems had happened before, so Tang Xuanzang had already been worried.
"Then how about it being like this now, where I'll protect you secretly if I don't show up?"
Sun Wukong also felt that what Tang Xuanzang said made some sense, and then he thought about it and said to Tang Xuanzang.
Tang Xuanzang felt very happy when he heard this, and ordered Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing to guard the luggage and horses. Just as he was about to leave, the officials came to find Tang Xuanzang again and saw that Tang Xuanzang was dressed completely differently from yesterday.
I saw Tang Xuanzang, wearing a cassock, with a trace of Buddha's light hidden in his chest, and carrying a customs clearance document with him, as if he were a living Buddha.
The officials hurriedly greeted each other with courtesy, and then whispered in Tang Xuanzang's ear:
"This elder must not meddle in other people's business when the time comes. Just exchange for your customs clearance document. Otherwise, you will definitely cause some unnecessary trouble."
Tang Xuanzang nodded in response. Sun Wukong stepped aside and turned into a bug that flew onto Tang Xuanzang's hat. Then he left the post house and came to the court.
When he came outside the court, he saw an official in blue clothes, and he immediately saluted and said:
"The poor monk came from the Tang Dynasty in the east to go to the west to obtain scriptures. Now he is here and wants to exchange for a customs clearance document. I hope you can help me tell the emperor."
Tang Xuanzang's words were very modest, and the official in blue was very happy and quickly told the king what had just happened. The king was overjoyed and said:
"The monks who came from afar must have some spiritual practices."
After saying this, he called Tang Xuanzang in. When Tang Xuanzang came to the bottom of the steps, he immediately saluted. Seeing that Tang Xuanzang was very educated, the king patted the seat next to him, indicating that Tang Xuanzang should sit down.
Tang Xuanzang picked up the customs clearance document in his hand and handed it to the king. The king looked at it for a long time and felt dizzy. Then he signed and drew a ring and gave it to Tang Xuanzang.
The king asked Tang Xuanzang about the reason for the Buddhist scriptures, and suddenly heard a voice from a servant outside: "The imperial master has arrived now."
After saying this, the king stood up immediately and hurriedly greeted him. Upon seeing this, Tang Xuanzang also stood up quickly and took a closer look. It turned out that it was an old man with white hair standing on the jade steps and staggering in.
The Imperial Preceptor entered the palace without saluting, and then the king asked: "I couldn't find you before, Imperial Preceptor, why did you come suddenly today?"
Tang Xuanzang also stood up and said respectfully: "I have heard of your name for a long time. Today I finally met you in person. It is indeed well-deserved."
After saying this, the Imperial Master still looked arrogant and did not return the greeting at all. He turned to the king and said, "Where on earth did this monk come from?"
However, the king said respectfully: "The Tang Dynasty in the East went to the place in the West to obtain scriptures. Today I come here to change the customs clearance documents."
The Imperial Master smiled when he heard this and said, "What's so good about the Road to the West? There are so many monsters and monsters there, why not just stay here with us. I guarantee that you will enjoy endless glory and wealth."
However, Tang Xuanzang did not give in to the five buckets of rice at all. He only heard Tang Xuanzang say: "Since ancient times, the Western Heaven has been called the Land of Paradise. What's wrong with this?"
The king quickly asked: "I heard others say that Buddhist disciples are immortal and can live forever."
Tang Xuanzang immediately explained after hearing this: "That's just what the book said. In fact, in real life, as long as you let go of everything in your heart, you can naturally be depressed and live an endless life."
After hearing Tang Xuanzang's explanation, the imperial master just smiled lightly, pointed at Tang Xuanzang and said, "You monk is full of nonsense."
"Since ancient times, it has been said that practicing Buddhism can lead to immortality, but where does Huanyuan live? You should know that we combine the energy of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, so we can practice properly."
"Since ancient times, only Taoism is supreme."
The king was very happy when he heard this, and all the civil and military officials in the court cheered and said, "Since ancient times, only Taoism is supreme!"
Seeing this, Tang Xuanzang was immediately ashamed. After a while, the king arranged for Tang Xuanzang to have dinner.
Then he sent them out of the city. Tang Xuanzang could only nod. When he was walking out of the hall, Sun Wukong suddenly came to Tang Xuanzang and said to him:
"Master, this national teacher is a monster. The king is under the influence of the monster. You wait for me for a while at your residence. I will go there to inquire about the news."
After speaking, Sun Wukong turned and left. Tang Xuanzang learned that he had returned to the hotel and kept silent about what happened just now.
Sun Wukong had already flown to the palace, and suddenly heard an official report:
"King, there was a cold wind last night, and all the children in every household were blown away, and now there is no trace of them."
The king was very angry when he heard this, and said to the national teacher:
"This matter is simply going to kill me. I am so sick now, and even the imperial doctor can't help. Fortunately, it was the medicine given by the national teacher, otherwise, how can I live now?"
