Seeing this, Tathagata Buddha asked: "What happened to Sun Wukong? Why are you crying here?"

Sun Wukong wiped the tears on his face and said:

"I have been deeply taught by you and worshiped the Buddha. I want to achieve enlightenment and protect Tang Xuanzang. I have suffered terribly along the way. But now I pass by the Lion Camel Cave in the Lion Camel Mountain. There are three demons there who want to kill me. The master was arrested."

Sun Wukong knelt down, lowered his chest and said to Tathagata Buddha:

"To tell you the truth, I made a big fuss in the sky and called myself the Monkey King. I have never suffered any loss since ancient times. But today I fell into the hands of such monsters. It's really a shame!"

However, Tathagata didn't think so and quickly said to Sun Wukong: "You monkey, please don't talk nonsense. Which monster is related to me?"

"If I'm not related to you, how did you recognize that monster?"

Sun Wukong smiled and said to Tathagata, as if the person crying just now was not him.

"You are a shameless monkey in front of me now. I can see it naturally with my discerning eyes. However, of the three monsters you just mentioned, two of them have masters."

Seeing this, Tathagata said helplessly to Sun Wukong.

After saying this, he continued: "You two will go to Wutai Mountain and Emei Mountain respectively to call Manjusri and Samantabhadra over."

After hearing the words of Tathagata Buddha, the servant turned and left. Tathagata said to Sun Wukong:

"The green-haired lion and the elephant demon are the mounts of these two Bodhisattvas, but the Kunpeng has some relatives with me."

Sun Wukong was immediately attracted by what Tathagata Buddha said.

"Is it your father's side or your mother's side?"

At this time, Sun Wukong made fun of Tathagata Buddha regardless of the occasion.

However, Tathagata Buddha ignored what Sun Wukong said, and only listened to Tathagata Buddha continue to say: "Since the beginning of chaos, the heaven and earth merged, all things came into being, and among all things, there are birds and animals, among which the unicorn is the king."

"Where did Kunpeng come from? Could it be Dapeng?"

"Dapeng and Kongque were born from the same mother, so we two have some relatives."

Then Tathagata Buddha explained the truth to Sun Wukong.

"Tathagata, if it is true, I am afraid you are still the nephew of that demon."

Sun Wukong said with a smirk while scratching his monkey hair.

"I must go to subdue that demon, so now I plan to follow you."

Tathagata Buddha sighed and slowly said to Sun Wukong.

"So I hope you can help me to subdue the demon."

After speaking, Sun Wukong saw Tathagata Buddha coming down, leading all the disciples out of the mountain gate, and saw Manjusri Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

The two Bodhisattvas bowed to the Buddha, and the Buddha asked:

"How long have your mounts been down the mountain?"

Manjusri Bodhisattva thought for a long time and said: "It should be about seven days."
