Chapter 1624 Fishing Day (XVII)
When Sif arrived, Thor was standing in front of the fishing ice hole, concentrating on watching the fish bite the hook and chatting with Nick about motorcycles. When he saw Sif coming, he quickly stretched out an arm and brought his wife to him.
Sif's outfit was a bit like Thor's. She was wearing a long thick sweater that almost covered her knees, washed jeans, and a leather jacket with a thick fur collar. She didn't wear gloves, but she wore a pair of wading boots.
She was only a little shorter than Thor, taller than Steve and Nick, with a very strong skeleton, and looked very strong. She had a head of thick black hair tied into a high ponytail behind her head, and a Yankees baseball cap on her head.
"You look great, Sif. I remember when you showed up on Earth in Asgard armor, you scared a lot of people."
Sif rolled her eyes slightly and said, "But that definitely doesn't include you, Captain America. Let me tell you, humans can accept heroes like you in tights, but can't accept Asgard's traditional costumes?"
"It's because they can accept your traditional Asgard costumes so much that SHIELD asks you not to wear your own clothes." Nick sighed pretentiously and said, "Last time, didn't a kid think you were actors in the parade and wanted to run up to play with you, but he almost got his elbow broken?"
"Because you always put Vikings in the parade, we didn't even ask you for copyright fees."
"Don't be silly, Thor, you're not the only Vikings, or even the only pirates." Steve shrugged and said.
Loki looked down at the watch and said, "If we go back to New York to buy now, we should be able to buy what we want before the supermarket closes. Tell me what you need and I'll make a list."
Nick and Steve exchanged glances quickly. Nick cleared his throat and said, "We were planning to hold a barbecue party in front of the lakeside cabin, but we didn't bring any barbecue utensils because we're not sure if other non-Americans can accept this kind of party. Can you help us ask?"
"If they agree, you can buy some barbecue utensils for us, okay?"
Loki nodded and walked towards the others. Thor turned his head and looked at Sif, and said inexplicably, "Loki, go by yourself. I have to talk to Sif about the internal affairs of Asgard."
Loki looked back at him strangely, then gave him a warning look and quickened his pace to leave here.
As soon as Loki left, Thor pulled Nick with his left hand and Steve with his right hand. The three of them put their heads together, and Thor said, "Dr. Schiller drew a picture of Loki, a very good portrait!"
Nick and Steve took a breath of cold air together.
On the other side, Loki first came to the fishing spot where Charles, Eric and Ivan were. After explaining their purpose, Ivan curled his lips and said, "Americans like barbecue parties. Let them do what they want. I can eat anything."
"I have no objection." Charles said very gently, but he waved to Loki. It was not until Loki walked to his wheelchair that Charles looked at her with his blue eyes and said, "Are you going to Dr. Schiller later?"
Loki nodded, and Charles smiled and said, "If they have any unexpected reactions, I hope you don't mind. Young people are always full of energy and love new things. Their ideas change so quickly that it's a headache. If you can't stay there, come back to us. I happen to be studying Norse mythology recently."
Loki felt a little puzzled. She heard that Charles was showing goodwill to her, but she didn't know why he did this. It couldn't be that Schiller had done something wrong again, right?
With such doubts, Loki came to the fishing spot where Schiller and Natasha were. As soon as Natasha saw her, she slapped her forehead.
Natasha's reaction made Loki a little suspicious. She did not have the intuition of women, but she had wisdom and the ability to guess people's hearts. She could clearly feel that Natasha did not welcome her.
What puzzled her was that the female agent did not say it clearly. Loki knew that Natasha was not a person who liked to beat around the bush. So what was she doing with her eyebrows and eyes now?
"Nick came to ask me if you want to hold a barbecue party tonight. He is worried that you think it is too noisy. If you agree, I will go back to New York City to buy ingredients."
After listening, Schiller nodded and said, "American barbecue parties are usually very crazy, but I think the few people here should have a sense of propriety. When they are older, they always know how to restrain themselves."
Loki frowned slightly. She felt that there was something wrong with the Schiller in front of her, so her eyes began to scan the faces of Schiller and Natasha.
"Speaking of which, Miss, did you find anything in my bedroom?"
Loji felt as if her neck was clenched and suffocated for a moment, but seeing Schiller's calm reaction, she was not sure what Schiller was asking. If she translated this sentence into "Did you see the painting?", wouldn't it make her look self-indulgent?
Loki is a very face-conscious person. She built a higher wall and dignity to hide something, or maybe she felt that as long as she didn't have expectations, she wouldn't be disappointed, so she spread her hands and said very calmly.
"Doctor, if you expect me to find something in your bedroom that resonates artistically between the two of us, then you really think too much. I have no interest in those weird souvenirs, no matter where you picked them up from."
Schiller suddenly laughed. Neither Loki nor Natasha had ever seen Schiller laugh so continuously. Doctors usually smile, not squeeze out a series of notes expressing happiness from their lungs like this.
"Come here, Miss." Schiller looked at Loki and said.
Natasha shouted "No!" in her heart ten thousand times, but still watched Loki walk over.
She felt a little stomachache, and since she ate a piece of spoiled jelly at the age of sixteen, she had never felt her stomach churning so badly.
Natasha had learned Schiller's secret. There was no romantic feeling in her mind, because the starting point of the whole thought of this matter changed from "who wants to sleep with whom" to "who will be served by whom", and in view of this, Natasha's stomachache became worse.
Loki walked to Schiller's fishing stool with some confusion, and also put her gloved hand into the sleeve of the opposite hand, standing next to the fishing stool and looking at Schiller.
The fishing stool was relatively low, so Schiller looked up at Loki, and then Loki noticed: "Oh, doctor, why are you not wearing glasses?"
"It's easier to see the details of the fish biting the hook."
Natasha wished that Loki was not a Nordic god but a German, so that she would have heard "Grimm's Fairy Tales" when she was a child-"Big Bad Wolf, why is your mouth so long?", "Of course it's to eat you!"
"Okay." Loki said: "Do you have anything special that you need me to bring from the supermarket? Like a medical record book or something?"
Loki smiled after saying this, but then felt that it was not funny, and might even be a little offensive, so she muttered softly.
Natasha clearly heard herself swearing loudly in her heart.
Just like Schiller said, Natasha has a good overall view, so she knows the seriousness of this matter. Yes, even if Loki is a stunted frost giant, her physical fitness is hundreds of times stronger than that of humans, and she can also use magic. Schiller should not be able to kill her with a knife. Even if he throws her away like a fish, magic should be able to save her.
But the question is, how could the God King of Asgard allow a human to treat his sister like this? Thor is reasonable in this regard.
No matter how important this human is to the entire earth, if he seriously hurts Loki, whether it is physical or emotional, or more likely both, then Thor will definitely go crazy, and then the earth and Asgard will definitely erupt into irreconcilable conflicts.
When thinking of this, Natasha felt her stomach hurt even more.
"…Peter threw the entire bedroom into space last time, and all my collections were turned upside down. After that, Peter tried to bribe me with a lemon tart, but he only bribed the mouse. As a result, he enjoyed the meal too much and destroyed my kitchen with his electric discharge."
Loki chuckled and covered his mouth with one hand and said, "I can imagine that kind of chaotic scene. Peter Parker rarely goes beyond the rules because he knows you will tolerate him."
"Yes, he is completely relaxed with me, and can even make trouble without considering the consequences. He can throw away the outer coat of following the rules in the past. They all are."
"Do you like this?"
"It's my honor."
Loki lowered her head and stared at the pair of gray eyes and the eyelashes that cast sparse shadows on the eyes. She found that Schiller's pupils were not completely gray, but with a little bit of a very subtle crimson, as if she saw a bloody beach on the vast limestone plain, full of vitality, but also indescribably weird.
There seemed to be a whirlpool sucking in Loki's consciousness. Natasha, who was sitting next to her, opened her eyes wide at Loki's slightly dazed expression. She began to cough hard while covering her lungs.
The cough finally woke Loki up. She looked at Natasha, and Schiller's eyes also turned to her. Schiller looked into Natasha's eyes and said, "Are you okay, ma'am?"
"Nothing, I should smoke less." Natasha gritted her teeth and said, "I will quit smoking from tomorrow."
"Admirable." Schiller turned around to hang the bait again. Loki stood there in a trance for a while, and then she heard Natasha's voice coming from a far distance.
"Your Highness Loki, we don't have anything special to purchase. If you want to go back to the city, you'd better leave as soon as possible. The supermarket is about to close."
"Oh, yes, I should leave." Loki nodded and said.
When Loki's back disappeared on the ice, Natasha stared into Schiller's eyes and said, "Doctor, you know you can't..."
"Did you see what I did to her?"
"But I know what you are going to do to her!"
"How do you know? Is it the answer obtained through rigorous reasoning based on evidence, or is it just a guess based on your rich imagination?"
"I..." Natasha rubbed her wrinkled cheeks and could only say in the end: "I have a stomachache.
