Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 20 Cowardly and Humble

Ai Wen slept unsteadily all night and had a lot of dreams.

He first dreamed that he was back in Godric's Hollow twelve years ago, and on that dark, silent night, watching Voldemort kill Harry's parents, he wanted to help them, but there was nothing he could do.

Immediately afterwards, he dreamed of Ginny again, the girl lying weakly in front of him, her body as cold as a corpse, and the young Voldemort-Tom Riddle standing beside her, mocking and smug, mocking his smallness. Tricks are completely vulnerable in the face of absolute strength.

Ai Wen pulled out his wand with great effort, but was knocked away by Tom Riddle in an instant, and the next second, a green light flew towards him, and he sat up suddenly from the bed.

Waking up from the dream, Ai Wen was soaked in sweat.

It was just dawn outside, and he lay down again panting, as if realizing that he was too weak to be Voldemort's opponent at all.

Fortunately he still had time, and even luckier they had Dumbledore on their side, the only wizard Voldemort feared.

Ai Wen gradually calmed down, and he needed to follow the steps to improve his strength. He could not learn advanced magic as soon as he touched it, and became comparable to Voldemort and Dumbledore. The immediate priority is to think about how to defeat the basilisk, and to deal with that diary.

"The basilisk seems to be afraid of the crowing of the rooster, should I..."

Just when Ai Wen was thinking about it, he suddenly heard a rustling sound in the corner of the room, and someone broke in.

"Fluorescent flashing!" Ai Wen suddenly picked up the wand by the bedside and looked ahead vigilantly.

It was a brown-green creature with a dirty pillowcase, a house-elf, cleaning up the room. The light on Ai Wen's wand greatly frightened him, staring at the pitiful big eyes, standing stupidly for three seconds, and then let out a suppressed scream and disappeared into the air.

On the four-poster bed next to him, Colin rolled over and continued to sleep.

Ai Wen couldn't sleep, he sighed and thought of Voldemort again, maybe in Voldemort's eyes, he was as humble as the house elf just now.

This feeling is very bad, Ai Wen simply put on a robe and quietly got up from the bed.

In the early morning, Hogwarts was extraordinarily quiet. The portraits on both sides of the corridor were sleeping, and no one could be seen. Ai Wen was walking in the empty castle. For some reason, he suddenly wanted to see the sunrise.

Ai Wen held his breath and walked straight up the stairs. There was the top of the castle, and he had never been there before.

When he climbed the last step, Ivan saw a large round room with elegant arched windows on the walls, surrounded by blue and bronze silk, and directly opposite an old light. , with eagle-shaped bronze door knockers asking questions.

That was the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room. Ivan didn't get close. He walked to the balcony protruding from the window on the left, from which he could see the beautiful scenery outside the castle.

The next second, Ai Wen noticed that someone came here one step ahead of him.

A breeze blew, and the morning sun slowly climbed up from the horizon at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. With the golden sunlight, Ai Wen saw a beautiful blond girl sitting on the edge of the balcony. The girl has an indescribable ethereal temperament, a fairy who has fallen to the world.

"Good morning, Ai Wen!" Luna turned around and said calmly, as if she had expected him to appear here.

"Good morning, Luna!" Ivan breathed a sigh of relief, walked over to her and sat down, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm writing an article on the search for the Crooked Snorer for your paper."

Ai Wen didn't know how to answer. It stands to reason that he should be happy if someone contributed, but when he thought of the content "how to find the horned snoring beast", he couldn't be happy at all.

"In the morning, inspiration is often the easiest to appear!" Luna put the parchment aside and looked at Ai Wen with her foggy protruding eyes, "Are you also here to find inspiration, no, you look You seem to be worried?"

"Uh, that's right!" Ai Wen hesitated and continued, "I just feel that in the face of the cruel reality, the power of man is too small, and even if he knows everything, he can't change anything."

Ivan said very vaguely, and he was not sure whether Luna could understand it.

The two watched silently for a while, before Luna said in that unique trance voice, "Power is not absolute, and being able to face one's own cowardice and lowliness is also a kind of courage, isn't it?"

"Yeah!" Ai Wen nodded, courage is the most important.

"However, I believe in wisdom more than strength and courage," Luna said in a singing voice. "Extraordinary ingenuity is the greatest wealth of mankind."

This is the second time Ivan has heard Luna say this. He checked it out when he went back yesterday. This is the last sentence of Ms. Rowena Ravenclaw before her death. Descendants sing.

Maybe this is a famous saying, but Ai Wen doesn't know how this sentence can help defeat Voldemort.

"My mother once told me that before embarking on this path of life, the important thing is to choose the right direction, and then no matter how many doubts and objections are filled, we must go on unswervingly and pursue our own path. Faith, fearless and hardships, open your heart to the sun, and shine your own light."

On the towering Hogwarts tower, Luna's voice came softly like the clouds beside him, making Ivan dazed for a while.

"Direction?!" Then he reacted and asked subconsciously, "Your mother?"

"Yes!" said Luna simply. "She was a wonderful witch, she liked to experiment, and one day her spell failed and she died just like that, when I was nine years old."

"Sorry, Luna!"

"It's okay, Ai Wen!" Luna said in one breath, "I've seen her after all, although I still feel bad sometimes, but I still have a father. What I want to say is, you are not alone, what are you doing? Difficulties can be spoken out, and we can solve them together.”

"You're right, I'm not alone." Ai Wen nodded knowingly.

In fact, ever since he knew that he had crossed into the magical world of Harry Potter, Ivan had always had a deep sense of anxiety, always putting himself on the opposite side of Voldemort and ignoring the existence of others.

Hearing Luna's words, he remembered Harry, Ron, Hermione and everyone. In the original book, Harry relied on everyone's help to finally defeat the mighty Voldemort. Even if it paid a great price, he finally won. .

With him here now, those tragic things can definitely be avoided.

"Trust your friends, maybe they can't do anything earth-shattering, but they will constitute many mundane, almost negligible but essential details." Luna's voice came over at the right time, "Helga Hech Patch’s famous quote, I think he’s got a point. I sometimes think maybe everyone should be in Hufflepuff, and he seems to be the smartest of the four founders.”

"Thank you, Luna!" Ivan felt much better.

"You're welcome, do you want to go to the Ravenclaw common room with me?" Luna stood up, "We can watch The Quibbler together, it's a magazine written by my father, maybe it's for you Bring some inspiration."

"Oh, no, I'm a little hungry and want to go downstairs for some pudding!" Ivan shook his head, although he was very grateful to Luna and was very interested in Ravenclaw's common room, but he didn't want to see it What "The Quibbler".
