Chapter 56 Ivan, Harry VS Tom Riddle
"What's the problem?" Harry asked sharply, fists still clenched.
"There are many, like..."
There was a happy smile on Riddle's face, "How did a baby, without any particularly magical spells, defeat the greatest wizard of all time? How could you escape unharmed, leaving only a scar, while Voldemort's powers were destroyed?"
Now there was a strange red light in his hungry wolf-like eyes.
"It's interesting, you were defeated by Harry, but you don't know how you failed. Voldemort, is this what you call a powerful force?!" Ivan sneered.
He carefully looked around, looking for the diary.
Now Riddle is just an intangible memory, formed by absorbing Ron's vitality, and attacking him has no effect at all.
Only by finding that diary Horcrux can everything be resolved.
"I underestimated you again, Mudblood!" said Riddle softly. "Looks like you already know who I am. Yes, I am Voldemort. He is my past, present and future."
He took Ron's broken wand and drew a few times in the air, writing three shiny names: Tom Marvolo Riddle!
Then, with a wave of his wand, the letters switched places automatically: I am Voldemort!
"This is my new name!" he whispered. "Do you think I'm going to use my filthy Muggle father's name for the rest of my life? You know, in my veins, Salazar runs With the blood of Slytherin himself, am I going to keep that disgusting common Muggle name? He abandoned me before I was born because he found out his wife was a witch!"
"That's impossible!" Riddle said with a heart-pounding sneer, "I'm going to give myself a new name, which means my new life! I know that one day, when I'm the greatest in the world, When you were a magician, wizards everywhere dared not say this name easily!"
Although he had long known that Tom Riddle was Voldemort, Harry's mind seemed to freeze when he saw the name appear in front of him.
He stared blankly at Riddle, who was this man, once an orphan who had lost both his parents, who killed his own parents when he grew up, and so many others...
"No, you're not." Harry forced himself to speak, his calm voice full of hatred.
"Not what?" Riddle asked sharply.
"Not the greatest wizard in the world!" said Harry breathlessly. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the greatest wizard in the world is Albus Dumbledore. Everyone says that. Even when you You don't dare try to control Hogwarts when you're strong. Dumbledore saw through you when you were in school, and he still scares you, no matter where you hide these days."
The smile on Riddle's face disappeared, replaced by a very ugly look.
"From start to finish, Dumbledore didn't believe me, when I first saw him in the orphanage, I knew it," Riddle snapped, "but it doesn't matter, I know a lot of him I'm the most powerful spell I've never imagined. Now, tell me all about it, Harry Potter. How long your words last, you and the little mudblood beside you can stay alive how long."
"Why did you suddenly lose your strength when you attacked me, no one knows." Harry said bluntly, "I don't know myself, but I know why you failed to kill me. Like Ivan said, Because my mother died to save me, she beat you with her love for me!"
Harry shivered as he tried to suppress his anger. "She stopped you from killing me. I saw you for real, and last year I saw you again. All you're left with is a pile of junk, half-dead. Look at you. You have great powers, but you end up like this. You hide in Tibet, you are ugly and disgusting!"
Riddle's face contorted, and then he forced a hideous smile.
"I see, your mother died to save you. Not some ridiculous motherly love, but a powerful spell. Yes, that was a very effective spell-breaker, I see now! After all, in you Nothing special, you just escaped from me by luck."
Riddle turned to look at the Slytherin statue, the grin on his face even more pronounced.
"Now, let's see if you and the Mudblood beside you have the kind of luck to escape from the greatest dark wizard of all time again."
There was a hissing sound in his mouth, and the huge stone face of Slytherin moved.
Its mouth opened, and it got bigger and bigger, finally forming a huge black hole.
Ai Wen raised his head and looked at the face of the Slytherin stone statue hidden high in the darkness. Immediately afterwards, he saw the diary that he had not found just now, and it was placed on the statue.
The basilisk slid out of the statue slowly, its body covered with scars, not quite as imposing as it had first seen in the Gryffindor common room, Snape's attack and rooster's crowing made it look unusual tired and weak.
But for the two little wizards, the basilisk, no matter how weak, was still deadly.
"Kill them!" Riddle shouted frantically.
The basilisk slid towards them quickly, and Aiwen's wand sent out an attacking orange light, which was an eye disease spell, but it was resolved by Riddle's spell.
"How stupid you thought I'd make you do the same thing twice," Riddle screamed. "Mudblood, get a taste of death..."
Before he could finish his words, a burst of music suddenly occurred to the empty secret room.
This voice is illusory, ethereal and mysterious, and it is exciting to hear it.
Ai Wen saw a crimson bird suddenly descend from the sky, the size of a crane, playing its weird music on the vaulted ceiling. It had a golden tail, as long as a peacock's tail, and a pair of golden claws that held a tattered package.
"It's Fox, Dumbledore's Phoenix!"
It flew over quickly, and threw the tattered thing on its paws at the feet of the two of them. Ai Wen saw clearly that it was the school's tattered hat.
"Interesting!"
Riddle suddenly laughed wildly. He laughed so hard that the dark room trembled slightly, as if ten Riddles were laughing at the same time, "This is what Dumbledore gave to his protector, A singing bird and a broken hat! Do you feel brave? Do you feel safe?"
As soon as his voice fell, he saw Fox flying head-on towards the basilisk, circling its head.
The basilisk angrily pounced on the phoenix, revealing its fangs as thin and long as a saber.
But it didn't work, and Fox swooped down, his long golden beak digging into the basilisk's head. It sang a strange song in its mouth, and from time to time aimed at the basilisk's scaly nose, pecked here, pecked there, and black blood spurted out of the basilisk's eyes, which were pecked blind .
"No, kill those two boys! Get off the bird, the boys are behind you!" Riddle screamed loudly.
"Harry, believe in yourself." Ivan put the sorting hat on the ground into Harry's hand, he turned and ran towards the statue of Slytherin, shouting as he ran, "I'll get the diary, you It has to be destroyed."
Harry stared blankly at the sorting hat full of patches in his hand, wondering what Ai Wen meant and what effect this thing could do.
Immediately afterwards, his hand seemed to touch something long and hard inside the hat, and he looked down to see a shiny silver sword appearing in the hat, with a dazzling egg-sized sword on the hilt. ruby.
Harry pulled it out, the ruby gleaming faintly on the hilt.
