Chapter 495 Rebirth from the Ashes: Act I: Blood and Fire (One more update, please vote)

Lasers and rays flew throughout the church, the dying wails of the wounded, the screams of women, and the terrifying roars came one after another, as if it was a crazy song written by the craziest author and in the most composing way.

The characters that composed it were written in blood, and the performance was crazy and distorted. Anthony hid behind the statue of the Emperor, looking out at the chaos in the church.

The demons rushed from the other end, and all those who didn't have time to escape along the way were torn to pieces. The demon's claws stepped on the blood and rushed towards this side, and were killed by a headshot.

The dark angel in gray-green armor raised his grenade gun. He and his brothers formed a line and aimed the bombs at the demons with gunfire. The whistling bombs and warheads flew back and forth, and the other side responded with magic.

The strange fire of purgatory flew over, but it dissipated in the air in an instant. Anthony looked at Vito, who stood there with a gleam in his eyes. He dispersed the magic with just a glance, deflected the barrage, and smashed the demons that rushed over to him.

Anthony and the others hid behind them, surrounded by panicked nobles. Even Tirfan, who had participated in the rebellion, was frightened.

They were like a group of panicked lambs huddled together, trembling behind the shepherd's battle line, looking at the poor people outside the Wall of Astarte in horror.

They were being slaughtered, and they were between the demons and Astarte, making countless wails and screams, while those who escaped by chance fled towards the exit of the church in response to the guards' calls.

But as soon as they arrived there, the guards were slaughtered the moment they pushed open the door. The guards with guns were beaten into a hornet's nest first, and the pagans with blue stripes on their heads and Tzeentch symbols on their bare arms rushed in.

These humans killed their compatriots, and the barrage of bullets slid through the crowd, causing the fugitives to be harvested and fell down like wheat fields in autumn, one after another.

Anthony saw Vito looking over, he clenched his fists at Lancelot, and then pointed forward suddenly. The Iron Knight nodded suddenly and led his left-wing knights to rush out to protect the people there.

Vito then signaled to Bell, and the leader of the Ultramarines also led the team to rush to the colonnade on the other side. They advanced all the way, rushed from the flank of the demons, and covered the people fleeing near the main gate.

And so, in the church, in front of the statue of the Emperor, only Vito was left. The demons roared at him and then pounced on him.

Anthony thought that this was enough, the demons would rush up and tear Olivia, Jack, and Wen Yanaer, who were protecting him behind him, into pieces, and his plan would succeed.

But he soon learned one thing, that these people had no concept of the "God" of the Empire.

Vito did not move. He looked at the demons. The demons that were roaring fiercely stopped instantly. They were stiff all over, and then they burst all over with screams. The materialized flesh and blood exploded into blood rain and sprayed all around.

He stood there, expressionless as if he had no emotions. He deflected all the magic without moving a finger. The barrage from the rebels was even more insignificant. He blinked, and the magic and barrage shot back and hit their original owners.

Anthony looked at him in surprise, watching Vito slaughter the demons calmly. He didn't even use his sword, but just used his eyes to make the demons and traitors bleed into rivers.

"Lord of Change! Isn't it said that his psychic control is very poor?" Anthony exclaimed, "What's wrong with this?"

He looked behind him angrily. People were praying next to the statue. They prayed to Vito, praying that he would bless them. All kinds of praises mixed with hymns rose to the dome.

In return, there was a splash of blood and flesh. Vito lifted up the demons with his psychic power and smashed their thick heads.

He stood up on the steps. Below him, blood had already flowed like a river. The skeletons of demons and cultists filled the hall. He looked at them expressionlessly and turned to help Lancelot in the side hall.

The demon that pounced on the Caliban Knight was instantly shattered and exploded into a blood mist. Lancelot stepped up with the power knight sword in hand, and cut through the blood mist to kill another demon.

But suddenly, a ball of blue enchanting fire swept up. Lancelot dodged to the side before the fire hit him. The flames hit the wall and melted the white marble.

With the screams of the crowd, Anthony saw the eagle-headed Tzeentch scribe, floating in the air, with a magic book in his hand, and the other hand waving and gesturing famous magic symbols in the air, and hitting it at the knights accompanied by sharp bird calls.

The magic attack exploded in the air instantly. Anthony saw Vito stepping up. He rushed down the steps for the first time, holding the unsheathed sharp blade in his hand and rushing towards the scribe demon.

The demons along the way pounced on him, laughing wildly and besieging him. Anthony took a breath of cold air when he saw those magical blades and claws. Even though he was on the side of the demons, he couldn't help but feel shocked.

But then he saw the flesh and blood of the demons exploded. They were shattered before they even touched Vito. He strode forward, stepped over the floating corpses of the demons, and rushed towards the scribe with a burning sword.

The demon put up a desperate resistance. It sent countless chaotic magic powers, which gathered into storms, fire and frost, but they all dissipated without even touching him.

Vito rushed in front of the scribe. The powerful demon mage used magic to protect himself, but the shield did not hold up for even a moment, and was shattered under Vito's sword in an instant.

He held the sword and raised it, and the demon instantly split into two and fell from the air. The two incomplete halves of his body fell into the bloody water, adding his own blood into the blood-red wave that flooded the church.

Vito stood in the center of the church. He continued to kill the demons in all directions, just like chopping melons and vegetables.

The crowd began to cheer and cheers erupted behind Anthony. The people loyal to the empire were overjoyed, and those who were originally on the rebel side also began to waver. They looked at Vito standing in the center of the church with only awe in their eyes.

"Damn it! Anthony, he's too strong! The demons can't even touch her!"

Tyrfan shouted loudly, and he looked at Olivia like Anthony. She protected Jack and Wen Yanal behind her, and Wen Yanal's wedding dress was already stained with blood.

They were safe, even if Vito was alone, the demon's frenzy couldn't get through at all.

Anthony looked at Olivia's side face. She was explaining something to the slightly panicked Jack, but Anthony couldn't hear clearly.

"Can you hear what they are saying?" Stern asked from the side.

"Roll up your sleeves."

"What?"

"Roll up your sleeves!"

Anthony snapped, Sten was visibly startled, and then complied.

Anthony didn't hear what they were saying, he didn't need to hear a dead man's voice.

He raised the hidden laser gun from behind and aimed it at Olivia from behind. With his ferocious eyes, his finger pulled the trigger of the light bullet.
