Warhammer: In the Name of the Emperor

Chapter 492 Rebirth From the Ashes: Bystanders

Anthony and Petronilla turned into a room, which was an inconspicuous hut at the most lively edge of the banquet hall. After the two guards at the door asked Anthony, they opened the door for him and let him go in with Petronilla.

Not far away, Sarah leaned against the table and looked at this side with her chin in her hand. She had been following Anthony from behind, and he didn't notice her, after all, her appearance had changed several times.

Sometimes she was a graceful girl, sometimes an old lady, and sometimes a shy young child. She would change once at every corner and in every crowd, so that Anthony would not notice that he was being followed.

Sarah's shapeshifting speed was quite fast, almost completed in the blink of an eye, and even those who were familiar with these transformed people could not see any flaws from her. She could read through their thoughts and memories and become the same person as them.

She was hidden in the crowd, following Anthony, watching him find Petronilla in a corner of the hall, and then lead her through the crowd and the long table to here, behind the private door.

"A clever trick, taking advantage of the banquet to hold a secret meeting, the light is dark." Sarah said in her heart, with a slight smile on her lips.

But she had to go in, Sarah lifted her hair and walked up, and the two guards at the door saw the stranger coming up, and one of them immediately stepped forward to stop him.

But Sarah just tapped his arm lightly with her hand, and the man was stunned instantly. She stroked the heart of another person again, and the second person's face was blurred instantly, as if he had become a puppet.

"Open the door and let me in."

"Yes, ma'am." The guard said and opened the automatic door. The scanner ticked, and the door opened and Sarah stepped into it. The moment she stepped into the door, her body turned into an invisible transparent color, and she became invisible.

Tilfan heard the door open and looked over, but he saw nothing there, even though Sarah was standing there smiling at him.

She walked silently around the pillar, then approached Tilfan, Anthony, and Petronilla. She leaned over and took out a camera from her sexy open-chested skirt and turned it on.

The small thing was hidden in the shadow of the secret room, and the camera reflected the three people in front of it. There were other people here, but they were the only ones standing in the center.

"Sir Tilfan, let me introduce you to our friend, Miss Petronilla Viva."

After the door closed again, Anthony spoke, "We respect the Marshal's personal recorder, the latest celebrity and close friend, and she has agreed to help us."

"Then, on behalf of the Victorians, I thank you, Miss Viva." Tilfan swept away the contempt and ridicule that Sarah had seen before, and replaced it with a friendly and flattering face.

Sarah laughed silently. She could sense his inner thoughts, so his expression was not much more profound than all the indulgent nobles she had seen who believed in her.

In fact, Tilfan seemed to enjoy indulgence, otherwise she would not be able to sense his inner thoughts so easily. In fact, he had been seen through by Sarah, from the surface of his soul to the deepest level.

She could leave, but she would not. Compared to telling Vito, it would be more interesting to broadcast this live for him, just like Lily always liked to do.

Some things can indeed be solved very simply, but what's the point if they are not fun?

"My pleasure, what's the plan?" Petronilla asked, "No one has told me the plan yet."

"You don't need to know too much, Miss Viva." Anthony replied.

"No, I need to know, otherwise you don't trust me at all, so why should I come here?"

"I don't like being a puppet, my lords."

Petronilla said firmly, Anthony and Tilfan looked at each other, and then Anthony spoke.

"Well, dear Miss Viva, since you said so." Anthony said with his hands behind his back, "We plan to replace Jack and Governor Olivia."

"To be precise, only Olivia, Jack will marry my daughter, whether he is willing or not, that lowly woman will disappear with the former governor."

Tilfan continued, "That child is not good at being a governor at all. He needs the help of my family. My daughter will teach his children, and I will teach him."

"This is also for the people of Victoria. The civil war has been avoided. You see, Miss Petronilla, who is more concerned about humans? The Emperor and his people, or us."

It sounds good, but Sarah really doesn't understand why humans always like to package obvious conspiracies and coups with legitimacy? Even those who are unwilling to admit it to those who conspired in private, is this a betrayal? What's the point of this?

Horus was like this back then, which really puzzled Sarah.

"How to do it specifically?" Petronilla asked persistently, as if she really wanted to figure everything out.

Anthony looked at her and was silent for a moment before speaking, "Miss Viva, you don't need to know so much. This is not your mission."

"Knowing too much is not good for you?" Tilfan said.

"Oh? Are you going to silence me?" Petronilla said with full momentum, crossing his arms, "Since I may be silenced, why don't I know more before being silenced?"

"No one will kill you, Miss Viva, I promise you."

"Your promise is worthless to me, Mr. Anthony." Petronilla responded immediately, full of contempt.

"I have promised you that I will recommend you to the Historical Court of Terra and join the highest knowledge institution of the empire after everything is over. Isn't this enough to show my sincerity?"

"Not enough, because I don't believe you." Petronilla's eyes were full of suspicion, and Sarah smiled silently beside her, a smart girl.

"If you want me to believe you, then tell me everything, I will hold your life, Anthony."

What she said was true. Sarah looked at the mechanical interface on her temple. It was a device connected to her memory spiral. All her memories would be archived there and then uploaded to a private server somewhere on the battleship, which naturally included everything she heard and saw now.

Even if Anthony killed her later, the information in the server would be automatically announced, dragging Anthony into the water, and he would not survive. It was a fatal but smart way to save his life.

Anthony looked at her in silence for a long time before speaking, "Well, since you already know so much, why not know the rest."

"There are indeed Tzeentch demons and traitors on this planet. They are our people and obey our orders and commands."

"The Lord of Change sent them to help us as part of the plan and deadly weapons to achieve our ultimate goal." Tilvan said.

Poor guy, Sarah couldn't help but feel pity. Their only fate was to become Tzeentch's toys, but she didn't know it at all. I said, I'd rather trust myself than Tzeentch.

Anthony nodded slightly and continued, "At the engagement ceremony in three days, demons and cultists will rush into the church and massacre the participants there. All those killed have been identified. The dead will be Olivia's followers, and we will be fine."

As he said, he pulled up his sleeves, revealing a secret Tzeentch mark on his wrist. Tilvan also pulled up the cuffs in accordance with the same, revealing the same mark.

"This sign will allow the soldiers of the Lord of Change to distinguish them. After the massacre, the noble families who support the governor will be exterminated, and those who are on the right side and on the right path will survive and get everything."

"Victoria will return to the rule of its right master!" Tilfan shouted loudly, "The Lord of Change will ensure that its purity will last forever!"

Poor guy, Sarah thought, doesn't he know that Tzeentch's favorite thing is to mutate people? His blessing is to turn you into something strange.

"After the bloody engagement, Olivia will die in the church, Vito will be furious, and his humanity and emotions will become his biggest weakness." Anthony clenched his fists and said with contempt and pride.

"We will give him a target, the hiding place of Tzeentch demons and cultists. He will angrily lead the Astartes to destroy them. During his absence, while taking everyone away, I will stay and organize a meeting with Tilvan."

"We will lead our people to force the palace at the meeting on the grounds that the situation in Victoria is turbulent and young Jack is unable to take charge and calm the situation. Then, he will nominate Duke Tilvan as the regent of Victoria. Of course, he will still be loyal to the false emperor on the surface."

Anthony smiled cunningly, "When Vito came back, everything was already settled. As he said, if there was no rebellion or unrest in Victoria, he would have no right to interfere in the internal affairs of the planet."

"He had to swallow this bitter pill and eat the game results given to him by the Lord of Change. He will be humiliated, but he can't do anything about it." Anthony smiled, and his smile made Sarah disgusted.

Sarah leaned aside with a blank expression. She turned her head to look at Petronilla, who remained silent. Anthony watched her raise her head and put on the friendly mask.

"And you, Miss Viva, your mission is to monitor His Excellency the Marshal." Anthony said, taking out a small communicator disguised as a pin.

"Monitor his every move and inform me." He handed the thing to Petronilla, who looked at it in silence for a moment, but soon took it.

He smiled at this and put a hand on Petronilla's shoulder, "You have chosen the right path, Miss Viva, welcome."

As he said this, Petronilla did not look at him, but looked over to where Sarah was standing, and the latter also looked at her.

No one spoke, Sarah turned off the camera, turned around and walked into the shadow behind the pillar.

The joyful queen threw the camera up in the shadows, and then grabbed it after it fell, smiling, "This is much more interesting than looking for the elves to eat, Lily, you really have occupied an interesting playground for a long time."

"But now, it's my turn." She smiled evilly, with purple flames flashing in her eyes.
