Chapter 904 Plan Changes
"So, is he planning something related to me?" Harry asked immediately.
"Plan? Did I say so?" Phineas checked his silk gloves lazily. "Now, please forgive me, I have more important things to do and I don't have time to listen to the troubles of adolescents. I wish you a happy day." Ann!" Phineas walked leisurely to his frame and disappeared from Harry's sight.
"Great, get out of here!" Harry shouted at the empty frame. "Tell Dumbledore I don't appreciate him at all! The empty canvas remains silent."
Harry was so angry that he dragged the suitcase back to the foot of the bed, leaned down on the moth-eaten lid, and closed his eyes. His whole body felt heavy and painful. He felt as if he had traveled a long, long way.
It was unimaginable that less than twenty-four hours ago, Qiu Zhang had approached him under the mistletoe. He is too tired. He didn't dare to sleep, but he didn't know how long he could hold on. Dumbledore told him to stay still, which must mean he could sleep, but he was still terrified. What if that happens again? He sank in darkness.
There seemed to be a movie waiting to start in his head. He was walking through a deserted corridor, past rough stone walls, around torches, down stone steps, and toward an ordinary black door.
He reached the black door, but could not open it. He stood staring at it, desperate to get inside. What he wanted with all his heart lay behind it, a prize of his dreams.
If only his scar would stop stinging so he could think more clearly.
"Harry," Ron's voice came from far, far away, "Mum said dinner is ready, but she will save some for you if you still want to sleep."
Harry opened his eyes, but Ron had already left the room. He doesn't want to see me, Harry thought, after hearing what Moody said.
Harry imagined that none of them would want him here any longer, now that they knew what was lurking inside him. He would not go down to dine; he would not accompany them.
Harry turned over and fell asleep again after a while.
Harry woke up very late, it was already early morning, his body and mind ached from hunger and Ron's snoring in the next bed. Looking around the room, he saw the dark silhouette of Phineas standing over his portrait again, which made Harry think that Dumbledore might have sent Phineas to keep an eye on him so that he wouldn't attack anyone else. An unknown emotion is growing.
He half wished he hadn't obeyed Dumbledore. If this was his life at Hogwarts, maybe he should leave and go back to Privet Drive.
In fact, everyone except Harry, who was apprehensive, spent the entire morning making Christmas decorations.
Harry couldn't recall a time when Sirius had been in such good spirits before. In fact, Sirius was singing Christmas carols and he was obviously happy to have someone to spend Christmas with.
Alone in the cold living room, Harry could hear the echo of Sirius's singing. Looking at the sky outside the window becoming paler and the snowflakes flying down, he felt that he was giving them a chance to talk about him non-stop, and when he thought of this, he felt a kind of cruel happiness.
When he heard Mrs. Weasley calling his name softly downstairs during lunch, he took a few steps back upstairs, ignoring her.
Around six o'clock in the evening, the doorbell rang and Mrs. Black started screaming again. Harry, who was hiding in Piggy's house, guessed that Moody or other members had already arrived. He moved so that he could sit more comfortably against the wall.
He fed Hedwig dead rats, trying to ignore how hungry he was.
Harry was startled when someone knocked loudly on the door a few minutes later.
"I know you're in there," it was Fan Lin's voice, "Please come out, I want to talk to you."
"What are you doing here?" Harry asked, opening the door.
At this time, the piglet was starting to search the straw-covered floor again to see if there was any mouse meat that it had missed. "I thought you were skiing with your mom and dad right now."
In fact, Fan Lin left St. Mungo's with Hermione yesterday. There is no doubt that Fan Lin should have gone skiing in the snowy mountains with Hermione...
"Well, to be honest, skiing is actually not our thing. It was Mr. Granger's plan, and then I pushed him to my dad..." Fan Lin said, "So, I came here to spend Christmas. Festival, and Hermione."
Harry looked at Hermione behind Fanlin. Her head was covered with snowflakes and her face was red from the cold.
"But don't tell Ron. Because Ron was always smiling, I told him how nice it was to ski. My parents were a little disappointed, but I told them that all the people who take exams seriously are now at Hogwarts. They I hope I'm good and they will understand." Hermione said hurriedly, as if she was afraid that Harry would misunderstand or something.
"Anyway," said Hermione brightly, "let's go to your bedroom, where Mrs. Weasley has made a fire and handed out sandwiches."
Harry followed Fanlin and Hermione back to the third floor. When he entered the bedroom, he was surprised to see Ron and Ginny sitting on Ron's bed waiting for them.
"The two of us came here on the Knight Bus," Hermione said cheerfully, taking off her jacket before Harry had time to speak.
"In fact, we also saw Stan, you know him, the conductor." Fan Lin said, while hanging up the clothes of the two people, "I also went back to Hogwarts, even though Dumbledore Having explained to Umbridge that Mrs. Weasley is at St. Mungo's and that you have permission to visit, Umbridge is still annoyed that the rest of us slipped under her nose."
"Hmm..." Harry nodded dully, which means that this Christmas... everyone is spending it together?
"How are you feeling?" Hermione asked.
"Very well," Harry deadpanned.
"Oh, stop lying, Harry," said Hermione a little impatiently. "You've been avoiding everyone since you came back from St. Mungo's."
"They say that?" Harry glared at Ron and Ginny.
Ron looked down at his feet, but Ginny looked nonchalant.
"That's what you do!" Ginny said bluntly, "You don't want to see any of us at all!"
"You guys don't want to see me!" Harry said angrily.
"Maybe you both wanted to see each other and just missed the chance," Hermione said, forcing a smile.
"That's ridiculous," Harry said suddenly, turning around and walking away. (To be continued)
