Chapter 1756 S Apocalypse Event (Twenty-Four)
Chapter 1730 S Apocalypse Event (Twenty-four)
When Jack came, he was not wearing his trucker's work clothes, but his classic dark purple suit and a green tie with a swirling pattern. With his green hair and exaggerated lipstick on his face, he really looked like a successful comedian.
Barbara still shrank back when she saw him, but she was not as nervous as a statue at the beginning. Jack sat down on the single sofa, smiled at several people, took a big sip of the tea handed to him by Alfred, and then was about to vomit because of the burn.
Strange touched Schiller with his elbow and asked, "Who is this guy? His taste in ties is really bad."
Schiller turned his head slightly and glanced at Strange's tie. It was unknown where this guy got the money. He bought a hand-made paisley pattern sapphire blue tie, matched with a straight black suit, and looked like a top seller.
Strange put one leg over the other and looked at Schiller's outfit from head to toe. It was a plain black three-piece suit, and the tie was a dark red that was not much different from black. He tutted his lips and said, "I didn't expect your suit taste to be so conservative."
"You look like you moved the whole of Manhattan into your business suit. That's why you were stuck in traffic for two more hours." Schiller said bluntly.
Looking at Bruce and Barbara's snickering expressions, Strange cleared his throat a little embarrassedly and said, "You are much more venomous than the Schiller I know."
After a while, Constantine and Zatanna came. Constantine also wore a suit for a rare occasion, and even trimmed his messy hair and beard. Zatanna wore a dark blue dress.
Gordon said exaggeratedly: "God, I feel like I'm going to be kicked out of here. Is there an important dinner party today?"
"Of course not, he just sent us an invitation in a serious manner." Constantine pointed at Bruce with his chin and said, "We poor guys are worried that there is a custom here that the butler will beat us out if we don't wear formal clothes, so we dressed up."
"I assure you, there is no such custom." Alfred led them to sit on the sofa.
Bruce said while spreading cheese on crackers: "But I also assure you that you will never beat my butler."
He only wore an ordinary shirt, linen suit pants and plaid Oxford shoes today, with a little college old money style.
"Who else didn't come?" Constantine asked.
"Hey, am I late?" A voice sounded behind everyone. When they turned around, they saw Harvey Dent, who was also dressed in a suit, but he was wearing a dark blue houndstooth suit, which looked a bit casual.
When he saw how everyone was dressed, he looked down at his own clothes. Bruce shook his head and said, "It seems that we all have our own understanding of today's party."
"I thought it was just afternoon tea for friends." Harvey walked to the sofa and sat down and said, "I even changed out of the extremely serious black suit from the court."
"Fortunately you changed." Schiller clinked his glasses with him and made a joke.
After drinking the warm tea, Alfred took away the teapot and teacup on the table and replaced them with wine and wine glasses. What was rare today was not sweet wine or champagne, but whiskey and lemon juice for cocktails.
"It seems that we will not go home until we are drunk today." Gordon picked up the bottle of whiskey and took a look. As expected, it was the kind of wine that could consume half a month's salary in one gulp.
Bruce pierced the lemon with an awl and then sliced it with a knife. Harvey poured salt on a small piece of paper and unscrewed the cap of the syrup bottle. Alfred placed the ice bucket next to the coffee table and put a crystal clear ice ball in each cup.
Schiller tasted a bite of soda crackers with cheese and nuts, and then Alfred poured more dried fruits and nuts into the plate, and brought mint leaves and thyme, as well as chili seeds from Mexico.
"Some people who seek excitement will like this way of drinking." Alfred introduced with a smile: "It's the same as using lemon."
"Forgive me." Constantine tasted a little bit of chili seeds, and then his face turned red because of the spiciness, and he quickly drank a few big gulps of cold water.
"Speaking of which, what are we here for today?" Zatanna fiddled with a mint leaf and said, "There should be an alien invasion over there, right? How far has it progressed? Has any city fallen?"
Bruce handed the prepared drink to Schiller and snapped his fingers at the wall next to the fireplace. Soon, Bruce and his friends appeared on the screen.
"Very good, this is the information about Apokolips that I found in the spacecraft database. The meeting to invade Apokolips begins."
The biscuit in Zatanna's hand fell directly to the ground. She looked at the screen in surprise and said, "Did I hear it right? He said to invade the earth, right?"
"What happened?" Constantine was also confused. He blinked and looked at the familiar faces on the screen and said, "Did the aliens change into their appearance and plan to sneak into the earth?"
The only two people present who were not surprised were Bruce and Schiller. They were both drinking leisurely, which aroused the doubts of others.
Strange narrowed his eyes and looked at Schiller and said, "How come you seem to have known it for a long time? Could it be you again..."
"Don't talk nonsense, I am not the same Schiller you know." Schiller said calmly.
Constantine also looked at Bruce and said, "Why do I always feel that you have done something to make things develop to this point..."
"Don't think too much, I went back to sleep after leaving the magic academy. Besides, there is a universe between us, what can I do."
Jack snorted twice, picked up the wine glass and sipped the wine and said, "You two lie in exactly the same way, only telling the truth, but only part of the truth."
"How about playing a game?" Jack smiled, raised his arms above his head, stretched and said, "Guess how the two of them influence each other "It's about the universe. We tell you the answer, you tell us the degree of proximity. If we guess a correct point, you drink, otherwise we drink."
"How about playing a game?" Jack smiled, raised his arms above his head, stretched and said, "Guess how the two of them affect the things in another universe. We tell you the answer, you tell us the degree of proximity. If we guess a correct point, you drink, otherwise we drink."
"Reasoning game?" Barbara leaned forward with some interest, but when she thought that this was proposed by the Joker, she shrank back stiffly.
"You can communicate with one of them." Strange looked at Schiller and said.
"Yes, but it's too general." Although he said so, Schiller still picked up the glass and took a sip of wine.
Zatanna looked at Strange curiously and said, "How did you figure that out?"
"I'm just guessing at the minimum." Strange leaned back in his chair and said, "Don't I know him? No matter which Schiller, he can fully influence the situation with just one mouth."
"Then guess who I influenced?"
Strange tapped his hand on the armrest. He was not stupid. Combining the previous clues, he reasoned, "It should be one of the girls. Before you left my universe, you shifted your work focus to the heroine. I guess... Helen? She has a good relationship with you."
"Wrong, drink." Schiller said with a smile.
"Then I guess Aisha." Zatanna raised her hand, she glanced at Bruce and said, "I heard Bruce say before that you are his daughter's tutor."
"The exhaustive method doesn't count." Jack rolled his eyes, as if he was lamenting Zatanna's IQ. Schiller also nodded and said, "If you answer like this, then this game won't last long. You have to think of it yourself. For example, Stephen guesses the candidate, and others guess the method."
Zatanna showed an embarrassed expression. After thinking for a while, she said, "Things like transmitting sound across a universe are difficult, but I think you can find a way to do it, so I guess you probably transmitted sound to someone with magic and asked him to do what you said?"
"Wrong again, let's drink."
At this time, Bruce looked up and said, "Can we guess each other?"
Before Jack said anything, Schiller said, "Don't write 'I have guessed everything' on your face when asking this question, otherwise I will say 'Of course not'."
Bruce lowered his head and sighed, shook his head and drank a sip of wine, and then continued to look up at the screen.
Others had no more clues. If Schiller had given some clues by influencing others' work styles through words, then what Bruce would do was a complete mystery. As mentioned before, Bruce was a little too trendy now.
Schiller picked up the wine glass to cover his smile. The excitement of this difficult student finally graduating had passed, so the rest became a contest between Batman and the Joker.
Then let's see how much gold content his outstanding graduates have, Schiller thought after taking a sip of wine.
"The identification code of this small frigate should still be in the Apocalypse Star Defense Security System. If nothing goes wrong, we should be able to drive directly into the Apocalypse Star Port without any obstruction, but the next thing will be more troublesome. None of us has the ability to transform, and even if we do, we can't hide so many people."
Little Bruce frowned and looked at the map in the database and said, "Once they find that the spacecraft is unmanned, they may find that the entire fleet has lost contact, or they may guess that we are secretly sneaking in. The time from their ignorance to discovery is the golden time for us to sneak in."
"Is there a map of the starport?" Damian asked. He looked at the information on the screen and said, "If I can get the map, I can develop a perfect sneak route."
"There is only a rough outline diagram, and even if we have a structural diagram, we can't determine the location and order of the security personnel patrolling."
"Strong attack?" Helen proposed.
"No hope, the starport has complete automatic defense measures, and there are at least 20 fleets that are much stronger than Weiman's fleet."
"That is to say, the route from the starport to the planet is the most dangerous." Harley said while thinking, "But we don't need to fly from the starport to the planet. I think we can use the same trick again."
"Hitchhiking?"
"As long as the speed is fast enough." Harley pointed to the appearance of Apocalypse and said, "The independent starport of this planet is not far from the planet itself. There are also some small spaceships coming and going, and they are not all passenger ships. There are also material transport ships. We just need to sneak into the warehouse of the material ship. As long as we move quickly, there will be no problem."
"By the way, why did the designer of this planet build the starport so close to the planet?" Helen said with some confusion: "Doesn't this lose the meaning of the starport's strategic buffer?"
"I guess they don't have a designer at all." Stark said, looking at the pile of information through Harley's eyes.
Stark stared at the spaceship that was getting closer and closer and continued.
"If you want to sneak in, you have to make some noise somewhere else. Jarvis, tell that little girl that there must be a forced landing device for this starport on the planet. Find it and pull the starport down!"
I typed this with one hand while I was in the hospital with an IV drip because of acute gastroenteritis. There may be typos. I will correct it tomorrow.
