Chapter 154 Storm of Destruction: Sea of Blood
Celestine felt a familiar feeling about everything here, as if she had been in this kind of battle between Space Marines during the Great Heresy many years ago.
She knew that these were other people's memories, memories of other people living in her mind.
Ever since the Emperor asked her to be a herald and messenger, she was also responsible for finding the souls of those brave and loyal warriors, bringing them to the Golden Sun to be recast by the Emperor and joining the Cursed Legion, her memory began to become confused.
Of course, it was not because that guy made her work overtime all year round, saving lives here and appearing there every day, but because of the uniqueness of this mission.
The Emperor asked her to guide the souls of those warriors, in order to select the best warriors, not only physically strong, but also pure and reliable warriors in spirit and thought, warriors who can resist the temptation of Chaos. The Emperor gave her a unique skill, an ability that even Sanguinor and other living saints do not have.
Reading their memories and past, Celestine can judge their abilities, whether they are trustworthy and entrusted with missions from their memories, experiences and emotions. Many times, the Emperor would let her choose the candidates for the living saints in this way. In short, that guy likes to make her work overtime.
Many memories, those of Space Marines and mortals are mixed together. People rely on memories to confirm who they are, their names, origins and belonging. If they lose their memories, they will lose themselves.
This is also true for Celestine. There are too many memories, so Celestine can't figure out which memories are hers and which are not hers. Many times, Celestine can't even figure out who she is.
Every time she was with Vito, her memories were as bright as a lighthouse. The impression of that old bastard who was never serious was like an anchor that would never disappear, deeply rooted in her mind. Whenever she thought of him, Celestine could recall the past and let him remember who she was.
The little angel laughed, and the face of the old man appeared in her mind again, "Old scum."
She swung a firm and decisive sword, and chopped a bloodletter with the axe and the man. She stood on the steel wreckage on the battlefield and looked around.
The flames danced and spun with the sharp blade. Celestine held the flaming sword and performed the dance of death on the barren land of Cadia. The holy wings of the angel made her body like a golden phantom, and her speed was dazzling.
The little angel was like a sharp blade wielded by the Emperor himself. The flaming sword kept cutting through the Chaos heretics. Demons, traitor warriors and their dark allies fell one by one under the sharp blade. The holy fire rose up, like a fire whirlwind, burning all filthy things.
The warriors of the Cursed Legion, whose bodies were burning with flames, fought fiercely with the traitors. These incarnations of the Emperor's anger fought with the Black Legion and the Chaos Space Marine traitors. The sound of bolters echoed everywhere, and the sharp blades burning with the fire of revenge kept flashing on the battlefield. They applied the Emperor's own anger to these ten-thousand-year traitors.
In the surroundings, the warriors of the Black Templars and the Imperial Fists fought side by side with the Cursed Legion, just like ten thousand years ago. Now Cadia has completely become a battle between supermen. The demigod war between Space Marines and Space Marines does not give mortals any room to intervene.
So the Lord of Creed did not choose to intervene, but led the Sisters of Battle and the Cadia warriors to fully assist them. The mortal warriors fought bloody battles with the mortal traitors and Chaos demons. Bayonets saw blood, lasers fired, tanks galloped on the ground, and artillery roared under the sky.
Mortal warriors fought with demons, and the bloody battle of mincing meat made the plain in front of the fortress flow like a river of blood. Scarlet rivers flowed between gullies and craters, with corpses and broken body parts floating in them.
If Khorne wanted blood and death, then everything here would make him ecstatic.
Flags fluttered in front of the Great Bastion, like an eternal iron wall blocking the offensive edge of Chaos. In the chaotic battlefield, Celestine flew up from the wreckage of the tank, and when he landed, he turned around and killed a World Eater traitor with a sword. The neck of the red-armored traitor was chopped by the sharp blade, and blood gushed out of the gap.
The traitor brothers around him rushed forward, they stepped between the mortals and the corpses of Space Marines on the ground, and the traitors of the Black Legion, the World Eaters and the Iron Warriors rushed forward, waving their respective blasphemous weapons and rushing towards Celestine.
The little angel swung the sharp blade and turned around. His wings spun with the swing of his body. Fire spurted out from under each feather. The sacred fire tumbled out from under the wings and rushed to his face.
The traitors were blocked by the fire. They all stopped. The black legion traitor wearing a black helmet looked at the other side of the fire. Celestine whistled out from the fire cloud. The sharp blade cut off his head in an instant. The traitor's head flew into the air, like a rising meteor in the fire.
Celestine rushed out of the sea of fire. His long steel boots slid across the ground fiercely, and dust sprayed at his heels. The little angel stepped on the ground and kicked his legs fiercely and entered the enemy camp like lightning.
The flaming sword danced among the traitors. Their armor was broken and cracked, and filthy blood gushed out.
Celestine cut off the Iron Warrior's arm in one move. The traitor roared and raised his arm covered with blasphemous runes. The Dark Mechanicus had already equipped it with a large number of terrifying weapons. The decomposition ray shot at Celestine at a very close distance.
Celestine flipped backwards and leaned back. She dodged the ray with her exquisite body like a ballerina. The green decomposition lightning flew almost close to her chin. After she flipped and landed, she threw out the flaming sword with her backhand. The holy sword pierced directly into the Iron Warrior's face, and the holy fire gushed out from every gap in his armor.
Celestine did not relax her vigilance amid the screams. She bent down to avoid the battle axe chopped from the side by the World Eater. She kicked the side of his leg. The seemingly slender but powerful kick like a cannonball made the World Eater kneel on the ground.
Celestine waved her hand, and the Flaming Sword was pulled out of the corpse and returned directly to its owner's hand. Celestine chopped off the head of the World Eater with a backhanded sword.
The scarlet helmet with its head rolled down from the ground full of corpses, and the helmet fell in front of a group of World Eaters. These bloodthirsty butchers who were covered in blood and almost completely in a state of rage raised their chainsaw swords and chainsaw axes.
Celestine looked at them. The World Eaters wanted to attack, but a Devourer with no armor on his right arm and a pair of blue feather earrings on his helmet came out from among the traitors.
The violent World Eaters made way for him, and the most brave and favored traitor under Khorne stood on the battlefield.
"Kahn." Celestine said, ready for battle. Kahn looked at her and prepared to move forward without saying a word, but suddenly a roar came from behind.
"She's mine!" The voice appeared in the crowd. The World Eaters looked back and saw the tall giant in Terminator armor appeared in front of them. He had a signature high braid and walked with earth-shaking steps.
Warmaster Abaddon appeared in front of Kahn and Celestine. He stared at the Khorne champion in front of him, "She's mine, leave." "She is a gift to the Blood God, Abaddon, you have no right to stop me."
Kahn said viciously, he raised the chain saw axe and pointed it at Celestine, but his eyes were always on Abaddon, who raised his long power claws and pointed it at Kahn's chest, like a wolf about to attack.
"I am the Warmaster chosen by the Four Gods. Khorne ordered you to follow me, so you must obey my orders, Khârn." Abaddon growled, staring at Khârn's eyes under the helmet in front of him, "Obey, the Warmaster's orders."
Khârn looked at Abaddon, then slammed his chainsaw axe on his chest armor. For a moment, Celestine thought they were going to fight, but no, Khârn just growled and pushed away a group of Black Legion soldiers, leading his World Eaters away.
Celestine looked at Abaddon, who slowly turned his head and looked at Celestine, "I will use you to humiliate the false emperor, I will take down Cadia, and I will let the galaxy burn!"
