All-Professional Master of Darkness

Chapter 2 Necromancer Volod

"Hey, stop it. I'm not a monster."

Vorod was hit hard on the forehead, and he was so scared that he ran away. But his small body, which was almost the same as a skeleton, was really not suitable for running. After running a few steps, his originally bloodless face became even paler, just like a dead person.

Lan Wu leaned on a wooden stick, curiously and vigilantly watching this stranger who was worse than a corpse. This was the first native he met since he came to this world.

This weirdo, who was only about 17 or 18 years old, was wearing a gray cloth robe. But his thin body wore this cloth robe, which was very suitable for ordinary people, like a long dress, which was very loose. But what attracted Lan Wu's attention more was that he was holding a short gray bone in his hand, with a few gray feathers tied on the top.

"Are you a mage?" Lan Wu moved his eyes from the gray bone in Volod's hand to his face, looking into his eyes.

"It's a necromancer." Volod corrected Lan Wu solemnly.

Lan Wu understood. Necromancer is one of the seven professions in Diablo. He looked at Volod up and down, and asked hesitantly: "Do Necromancers have to look like dead people?"

"You are insulting me!" Volod was emotional, and his bloodless face was a little more ruddy. Although his eye sockets were still deep and his body was not much fleshy, he looked obviously more energetic and like a human being.

"Sorry." Lan Wu apologized. Knowing his mistakes and being able to correct them is one of his greatest advantages.

After receiving Lan Wu's apology, Volod nodded reservedly: "I accept your apology. Are you a survivor of Thor Village?"

Lan Wu shook his head.

Vorod was a little surprised and asked again: "Are you a professional?"

Lan Wu thought about it and decided to remain silent.

Seeing that Lan Wu did not shake his head or confirm, Volod hesitated. After struggling for a long time, he took out a scroll from a cloth bag on his waist. Lan Wu's eyes suddenly moved to the gray cloth bag that was only the size of a fist.

"This should be the personal backpack of professionals in this world." Lan Wu guessed.

"This is the identification scroll." Volod shook the scroll and said with a lack of confidence: "Tor Village has just been attacked by a group of fallen demons. The respected Lord Akara asked all professionals to go out and save those poor people. So, since you seem to have lost the relevant memory. Then I can only use the identification scroll to identify you. If you are also a professional, you should obey the order of Lord Akara and go with me to find the whereabouts of those poor civilians."

Lan Wu readily agreed and nodded happily.

With Lan Wu's permission, Volod was obviously relieved. He asked Lan Wu to turn around and unfolded the identification scroll to stick it on his back. After about a minute, he took off the scroll and looked down carefully.

Name: Lan Wu

Level: 1

Attribute Points: 0

Life: 45Attack Damage: 0

Mana: 25Attack Ratio: 80

Endurance: 79Defense: 6

Strength: 15Fire Resistance: 0

Agility: 25Cold Resistance: 0

Physical Strength: 15Lightning Resistance: 0

Energy: 25Toxin Resistance: 0

Experience: 15/500

Lan Wu saw the densely packed data on the identification scroll, and he suddenly understood. He quickly moved his eyes to the bottom line. Of course, what is more important than these attributes is what skills you have. Skills are the guarantee of roaming the dark world.

Unfortunately, except for the experience value attribute, no other data is displayed on the scroll.

After reading the identification scroll, Volod was obviously in better spirits. He hugged Lan Wu very enthusiastically and smiled with relief: "So you are also a necromancer. It seems that God arranged for us to meet. Let's team up and wipe out the hateful demon creatures together."

Lan Wu did not comment. Not to mention that the fifteen BUG amulets on his body could not be made public. This team formation is a major event that cannot be ignored. His ideal is naturally the most stable iron triangle - warrior, mage and priest. If he is a necromancer, then the other teammates are naturally paladins and barbarians. Volod is also a necromancer, so his position overlaps with his own, and he is obviously not an ideal teammate.

Seeing that Lan Wu did not express anything, Volod hurriedly took out another identification scroll from the space bag and urged: "I am your most ideal teammate. Help me identify it and let you see my attributes."

Lan Wu followed suit and unfolded the identification scroll and attached it to Volod's back. Soon he felt a faint fluctuation on the scroll. This fluctuation made him feel familiar. Thinking carefully, isn't it the kind of fluctuation that emerged in his body when he absorbed the black air just now.

Taking the scroll, Lan Wu lowered his head to take a closer look. Volod is a third-level necromancer. Those basic attributes are not his goal, just a glance. His focus is on the skill description at the bottom of the scroll.

Skeleton Resurrection: Level 2, resurrect a skeleton from a fresh corpse to fight for you. Number of summons: 2

Skeleton Domination: Level 1, improve the quality of summoned skeletons, skeleton mages and reborn creatures.

"I am an excellent necromancer." Volod was obviously a little nervous, and his tone was obviously a little lacking in confidence.

"Why did you choose me as a teammate?" Lan Wu did not give a direct answer.

"Because..." Volod's pale face blushed, hesitantly, and replied very frustratedly: "Because they all call me unlucky Volod. Every professional who teamed up with me was lucky. The luckiest one fell and broke his finger."

"Who was the most unlucky?" Lan Wu got to the bottom of it.

"We were encircling a tribe of fallen demons, and he was blocked by my skeletons and thrown into the cauldron of fallen demons." Volod lowered his head in frustration: "Although we rescued him, they kicked me out of the team."

"I can understand." Lan Wu nodded. Anyone who met such a pig teammate would be decisively rejected.

"Then... forget it. You will also be unlucky if you follow me." Volod himself did not have much hope. After all, his reputation in the Rogue Camp was terrible.

"That's not necessarily true." Lan Wu went back to the tree, picked up the muddy T-shirt, and walked back: "Let's go. I need to upgrade as soon as possible and learn the first skill."

Vorod was stunned at first, then ecstatic, and hurriedly asked: "Do you really agree to team up with me?"

"Yes." Lan Wu nodded: "At present, I have no other choice except you. Of course, you can also choose. I don't even have a weapon at present. In other words, you are the only one who can attack monsters until I upgrade and learn the first skill."

"No problem." Volod nodded repeatedly, fearing that Lan Wu would reject him.

So, a team was formed. Lan Wu took the initiative to extend his right hand and introduced himself: "Lan Wu, 25 years old. Um... a necromancer."

"Vorod, 17 years old, also a necromancer." Volod introduced himself with reserve and pride.

Having gained teammates, Volod seemed very happy. Along the way, he chattered non-stop. Although a little noisy, through his long-windedness, Lan Wu roughly understood the current situation of the world.

"Humanity has fallen to this point?" Lan Wu learned that the Rogue Camp was one of the five last strongholds of humanity, just as described in the game. The population was only about 5,000, and it was also the weakest stronghold.

"The situation is far worse than you think." Volod took a few quick steps and faced a slowly moving corpse. The bone staff in his hand was short, but the damage was good.

Lan Wu witnessed Volod, a skeleton that could be blown down by a gust of wind, fighting the corpse fiercely in close combat. After only four consecutive blows, the corpse let out a mournful cry and fell to the ground.

Volod stood in front of the corpse, raised his staff and muttered to himself. Soon the corpse swelled up. With a snap, a gray-white skeleton climbed up from the ground holding a bone knife.

"It's the same as in the game." Lan Wu understood. At this time, a wisp of black air floated over. With the previous experience, he calmly accepted the experience value that Volod called magic energy.

Volod waved his hand, motioning Lan Wu to come over. He pointed at the rotten flesh on the ground that was turning into demonic energy and said with emotion: "The undead creatures in front of us were once the same as us. It was only after they died that they were infected by demonic energy and turned into these filthy undead creatures. As long as there are corpses, they will continue to emerge, attack our newly opened camps, and massacre our civilians."

"They can only be regarded as pitiful creatures. The most hateful are those filthy fallen demons and those hateful demon creatures. They are just creatures condensed by demonic energy. Before the true body is defeated, they will be reborn continuously. So we professionals will get a mission after receiving the blessing of the gods and obtaining professional inheritance."

"Destroy those demon true bodies and let mankind get a new life."

When saying these words, Volod looked solemn, completely unlike the lifeless before. He looked up to the east and said solemnly: "When I became a proud necromancer, I set a goal for myself. I must defeat Andariel before I am 20 years old and get the qualification to go to Lugoin. My parents are waiting for me in Lugoin. I will always remember their encouragement to me before leaving."

"The premise is that you must reach at least level 20 first." Lan Wu did not affirm Volod's ideal, nor did he deny it: "You are taking the pure summoning route. The resurrection of low-level skeletons will not bring you strong combat power. Without a strong enough skeleton, it is difficult for you to defeat Andariel. After all, you can't find a suitable teammate."

"Well, without sufficient strength, I will not rashly challenge Andariel." Volod's expression was firm, and he obviously knew his current situation.

"Huh? No gold coins exploded?" Lan Wu looked at the last bit of black air that sank into his and Volod's bodies respectively, and was a little surprised.

"Some undead creatures or demon creatures have less magic energy. This is normal." Volod quickly walked forward with the skeleton he had just summoned.

Lan Wu felt that Volod was a bit like escaping. He thought about it and didn't say much. After all, the most important thing at the moment was to upgrade as quickly as possible and learn the first skill.
