Chapter 2713 There Is Light, Darkness and Chaos

Buddhism emphasizes an epiphany.

What is enlightenment?

Enlightenment is the root of wisdom. If you have the root of wisdom, you can achieve enlightenment. If you don't have the root of wisdom, it will be difficult to achieve enlightenment.

Lu Bu didn't quite understand.

After listening to Mitra's lecture on Buddhism, Lu Bu became more and more confused.

In fact, many Buddhist monks themselves didn't quite understand it. At least they came to hold a Dharma meeting for Lu Bu, and Mitra, who taught Buddhism, couldn't explain it clearly either. Mitrata told Lu Bu that in order to understand the Buddha nature, one needs "sudden enlightenment", that is, "clear mind and seeing nature". But what is "enlightenment", how to achieve "enlightenment", or how to "understand one's mind and one's nature", I'm sorry, Mitra couldn't explain clearly, at least not to Lu Bu.

So as for Lu Bu not feeling any "enlightenment", Mitra could only say that Lu Bu did not have "sufficient qualifications" for the time being.

Mitra means that Lu Bu's accumulated merit is not enough. Anyway, the matter of merit is like a leader saying whether a subordinate is good or not. Does merit have an intuitive value, like a panel like in the game, or is there a clear merit value? Apparently not. Therefore, it is actually impossible to determine how much merit a person has, even if he has it.

Mitra told Lu Bu that if you need to practice and accumulate merit, you will naturally have enough qualifications. At that time, you can enter the Dharma door from the secular world, realize the non-emptiness, pay attention to the sequence of rituals, and practice the Six Perfections and Ten Thousand Deeds.

When Lu Bu heard the secret taught by Mitra, he suddenly realized... It was impossible. He couldn't understand what Mitra was saying at all, or what the words in it meant?

It's not like Lu Bu didn't ask Midolo for advice, but after Midolo explained to Lu Bu, Lu Bu felt like a fool.

Mitra means that the clear mind and nature are like water. Water is both tangible and invisible. It can freeze into ice or turn into gas. In the secular world, people are like coming into contact with water, but they only know one form of water, and seeing the nature with a clear mind is like fully understanding the changes of water...from emptiness to non-emptiness, and then to From non-emptiness to non-emptiness…

Lu Bu didn't listen to Mitra's explanation, and he still had some understanding of his own. However, after listening to Mitra's explanation, Lu Bu's thoughts became even more confused, and only this "empty" was left in his head. , that "empty", then "empty" and "not empty", "not empty" and "empty"...

Lu Bu asked again, what exactly are "empty" and "not empty"?

Mitra told Lu Bu that if you want to know emptiness, you must predict its appearance. To realize emptiness, we need to eliminate all forms. Including the thirty-two signs of the Buddha, eighty kinds of good shapes, all of which are judged as signs of ignorance, which must be destroyed to see the emptiness of existence.

"Seeing the Buddha through form and seeking the Buddha through sound are all evil ways, and the Tathagata cannot be seen." Mitra said in a deep voice, "For this reason, the Tathagata always said, you monks, you know that my Dharma is like a raft." The law should be given up, let alone illegal. 』

The more sincere Mitra's expression became, the more confused Lu Bu became when he heard it.

The biggest difference between idealism and materialism is here...

For an advanced concept, idealism will say that if you don't understand it, it's your problem.

And if the materialistic representation cannot be repeatedly proven by practical experiments, then that is my problem.

Idealism means that if you want to explain something to someone, there will inevitably be deviations, just like talking to ancient primitive people about mobile phones, tap water, high-speed rails, airplanes, etc. After the primitive people heard it, they would naturally have deviations, so "it cannot be said." . Therefore, we must first have good roots. Only after having good roots can we have the fruit of wisdom. As for what the good roots and wisdom fruits are, everyone cannot see or touch them. Idealism means that the first thing is not to resist, to believe in order to see the truth, and to be sincere and spiritual.

Materialism means that as long as it is simple physics that can be observed, there is nothing that cannot be said. For mobile phones, you can use a microphone to explain step by step, for tap water, you can use pipes to demonstrate, for high-speed trains, you can use wheels, and for airplanes, you can use feathers. The air cannot be seen or touched, but it can be proved by experiments. The earth is round and not flat. It can also be proved by experiments. Materialism means that you don’t need to believe it first, I will show it to you directly. The result will be the same regardless of whether you are sincere or not.

Weixin cursed and left the group.

Weixin could pat his butt and walk straight away, just like Mitra. Lu Bu, who had put aside all the questions in his head, ran away, saying that Lu Bu should continue to practice. Once the practice is in place, it will be a natural breakthrough.

But Lu Bu couldn't penetrate it so quickly or throw it away.

If Lu Bu is still young and doesn't have so many aches and pains, then naturally he won't believe in any karma. This is like telling a young man not to look down at his mobile phone every day because he will have problems with his cervical spine. The young man will not stop torturing his cervical spine until there is no real problem.

Only when you feel pain or illness will you feel panic and realize that what you said before is true!

The same goes for Lu Bu.

Lu Bu is almost a pure martial artist. When he found that his body began to decline, his physical fitness declined, and his pain increased, the panic in his heart was not much worse than congratulations on graduating again at the age of thirty-five.

Lu Bu's ability to make a living is to be able to fight. Once he can no longer fight, for Lu Bu, it is like losing the meaning of life.

He trusts others easily and is also suspicious of others. To put it simply, he doesn’t have many independent opinions and his views follow his ears. The fundamental reason for this is that Lu Bu himself does not have enough knowledge.

If Lu Bu was in Chang'an at this time, he would happily go to some martial arts hall to keep company with Mr. Ma and take a back seat without having been enlightened by Fei Qian two or three times. However, Lu Bu was in the Western Regions, and someone had persuaded him to go back. Don't want to go back.

Not going back is not because of what Lu Bu wants to do, but because of what Lu Bu doesn't want to do.

Lu Bu was not good at politics, so he suffered a lot in this regard. Under Dong Zhuo, under Yuan Shao, in Jizhou, and in Yanzhou, he suffered losses all the way. Some people can learn lessons and grow when they suffer a loss, but Lu Bu just remembers that he suffered a loss and only learned lessons and no growth. Therefore, Lu Bu subconsciously wanted to avoid it, thinking that by avoiding Chang'an, he would avoid the political whirlpool.

In addition, the environment in the Western Regions is a bit similar to the desert. For Lu Bu, who was born in Jiuyuan, he prefers the life here. He rides wildly on horseback and blows sand thousands of miles away. It seems that there is no restraint between heaven and earth, and he is free.

Lu Bu's soul longs for freedom.

But Lu Bu didn't know enough, so he didn't know that there is no absolute freedom in this world.

Lu Bu was caught up in thinking and exploring concepts such as Buddhism, Buddha nature, emptiness, wisdom root, etc., and naturally he paid less attention to his original responsibilities.

Of course, having said that, in fact, Lu Bu has never paid much attention to the political affairs of the Western Regions. It's just that he sometimes asked about it before, but now he is busy pursuing his own ideals, so naturally he doesn't ask anything.

Lu Bu specializes in Buddhist studies, and the happiest thing is actually not the eminent monks, but the group of people under Lu Bu headed by Wei Xu.

Originally there was Gao Shun who would give some suggestions from time to time and find out some problems, but Wei Xu and others felt that Gao Shun was just a troublemaker, so they simply encouraged Lu Bu to throw Gao Shun into Yumen Pass.

The reason is very correct. Yumen Pass is very important and cannot be defended except by generals. Gao Shun is at Yumen Pass, everyone is relieved.

Lu Bu was wondering if this reason was wrong? It seems that there is nothing wrong. Is it possible that Gao Shun was not allowed to go and Wei Xu was sent to garrison at Yumen Pass? Wei Xu said that I am not as capable as Gao Shun. If I was asked to go to Yumen Pass and messed up, wouldn't it be a delay in a major event?

So Gao Shun went to Yumen Pass.

Among the Western Regions, Gao Shun, the only one who was more serious about things, left.

Some people don't like serious people and think that serious people are pretentious.

Even when there are some conflicts and disputes, it is inevitable that some people will stand by and persuade them, saying that it is not important, it is not a big deal, why are you so serious? Is there something wrong?

People who persuade people don't care who makes sense and who doesn't. It's like someone queuing up on the road to block the situation, and then there's a stalemate there. One wants to block the block, and the other doesn't. Then the person who was blocked behind comes to persuade, Will you follow the rules and ask the person who blocked you to queue up at the back, or will you advise the person who was blocked to calm down? It's possible, but it's more likely that the people who come up later will choose which one is easier to bully and more like a good person to persuade.

At least if you point the gun at a good guy, you won't get beaten.

Yes, it is not based on right or wrong, but to persuade the person who looks more like a good person to be patient. He will even stand on the side that is clearly wrong and persuade others to agree to jump in line because continuing to block the road will delay him. But these people never thought that the problem was actually caused by queue jumping, but in the eyes of these people, it became a real problem.

The same is true for Gao Shun. He is more serious and then becomes unpopular. Because if you are really serious, you have to line up and collect things in an orderly manner. But if you receive everything in an orderly manner, how can you take advantage of it?

So Wei Xu took Gao Shun away first, and then everyone cheered and there was no need to line up.

In addition, Lu Bu, who was supposed to be in charge, was thinking about issues such as a safe Western Region and boundless merit. How could he have time to take care of such trivial matters?

So Wei Xu and others became even more happy.

"Brother!" Brother! Big deal, big deal! ” A man ran up to Wei Xu with his head lowered and his waist lowered.

Wei Xu was half-lying under the canopy, with the sun not shining on his face and body.

The canopy is not used by ordinary people, but Wei Xu said that it is not a canopy, it is just a parasol. You see, there are no colors and flags, so this is not a canopy, just a parasol.

Wei Xu has gained a lot of weight now, and sometimes he can't even put on his armor.

Because people will get fat, but armor will not. Although the armor has laces, it can be adjusted to a certain extent, but once it exceeds the adjustment range, it will naturally not be able to adapt. So Wei Xu didn't like to wear armor very much. Anyway, the Western Region was very peaceful now and there were no problems, so there seemed to be no need to wear armor.

As you get fatter, you become more and more lazy to move, and then you get fatter.

Summer in the Western Regions is still very hot, with a big temperature difference between morning and evening.

But such conditions make the fruits in the Western Regions very sweet...

Wei Xu lay half-lying, then while nibbling fruits, he turned to look at the visitor, "Er Gou, why are you so impatient?" 』

Wei Xu just called him that. After so many years, he didn't think there was anything wrong with this title.

The person named Brother Wei Xu is not really Wei Xu's blood brother, but a soldier who followed Wei Xu all the way back then. Or they can be called personal soldiers, because they have no names or surnames, but they are loyal enough. In addition, Wei Xu, who was following Lu Bu around at that time, was also in poverty. He had no reward, not even military pay, so he could only paint pictures. Big cakes to satisfy one's hunger means that these soldiers are all brothers, and when one becomes rich, he will never forget his brothers.

From this point of view, Wei Xu did not break his promise.

Now that Wei Xu is prosperous, these people will also prosper with Wei Xu.

"Brother, haha, brother, you know," Ergouzi said, "A merchant came to see me a few days ago..."

"The one you were talking about last time? Wei Xu waved his hand and said, "No, that one requires a war horse. Although the price is good, but with such a large quantity, there will definitely be problems when passing the customs... It won't be worth it to involve us again... 』

Spices and war horses are the most expensive commodities in the Western Regions.

"Brother, they are willing to double it. ” said Ergouzi.

"Hiss..." Wei Xu took a breath, threw away the fruit, and sat up, "Double more?" 』

The price of war horses is already high. Doubling it again will naturally lead to considerable profits.

But after a while, Wei Xu lay down again, "Forget it, really, although the price is really good, the risk is really high. If it is found out..."

As for war horses, selling a few in small quantities is not a big problem.

After all, this is the Western Region, not Guanzhong, and Lu Bu doesn't care much about things, so many systems are imperfect. Small-volume transactions like this are sometimes reported battle losses, and there has always been no problem. However, this time the merchant asked for too much. On the one hand, the deployment was not easy. After all, war horses are not ordinary horses. After training, they will not be afraid of coexisting with humans, and they will not recognize their owners' horses in particular. On the other hand, the number is indeed too large, not dozens, not one or two hundred, but a full five hundred. !

If the business succeeds, you will certainly earn a lot, but the risks are relatively high.

With Wei Xu's greetings in the Western Regions, of course no one would investigate, but if you take the Guanzhong route, you will inevitably be investigated.

Some time ago, the relevant authorities issued a document stating that they had traced the smuggling of war horses and asked the Western Region to conduct verification.

Lu Bu didn't care much about things, so the writing naturally fell into the hands of Wei Xu. Wei Xu found an excuse and said that there were soldiers selling them privately, and they had already been executed. Part of the money from the sales was recovered, and most of them were sold by soldiers used up.

Even if this matter is settled, that's it anyway. But this also left a mark in Wei Xu's heart, so now that Er Gouzi talked about buying war horses in large quantities, Wei Xu felt that he didn't want to do this business.

Where there is light, there will naturally be darkness. When the darkness makes the light brighter, the light will make the darkness darker.

The trade in the Western Region is light, and under the light, there are naturally all kinds of darkness.

In these darkness, there is the sweet smell that dark creatures love most, tempting these people to rush in one by one and sink into the darkness.

"No, brother, they said they have a way! "Er Gouzi said, "They said that after several trials, they found that Guanzhong only inspects and sells horses for more than five war horses... So they can put the horses in Longyou first, and then pass through the customs in small quantities and many times... …』

"oh? Wei Xu was stunned for a moment, "Is there such a way?" 』

"Yes, they said it can be done. And they said they even told us the method, and they are really sincere about doing business with us..." Ergouzi blinked and said, "Brother, look at this...double it..."

"Double it again... divide it into batches..." Wei Xu stroked the beard on his chin.

This is really a solution!

Spices are hard to get, but war horses are really easy to get. Because Wei Xu and the others did not have spices, but they had war horses.

Before, I didn’t dare to sell the goods, but now I have this method...

The techniques of small batches and multiple passes are not only understood by later generations of backpackers.

Wei Xu seemed to see the golden light filling the sky.

"Brother?" ” Ergouzi shouted tentatively from the side. If this deal is done, he will have a lot of tricks, that is five hundred war horses! And it’s doubled!

"It's doubled, I don't want to be too stingy..." Wei Xu said slowly.

Ergouzi nodded at the side: "Yes, yes, brother is right." 』

"But these five hundred horses are not a decimal number..." Wei Xu continued, "If you want to say a dozen horses, they will be taken out. This horse runs every day, how can it not be damaged?" But these five hundred horses..."

If five hundred horses were suddenly damaged, of course there must be a justifiable reason. If the daily damage was reported directly, even a fool would be able to see the problem, and there would be no need to pass it on to Guanzhong. Those in charge of direct supervision in the Western Regions would be able to discover it. Something is wrong.

So it's either a matter of making false accounts and then slowly making up for it later.

Either that...

A real battle loss.

Wei Xu frowned and looked around.

Are you making false accounts? The main advantage is that there is less movement, but it will be more troublesome to make up for it slowly in the future. You have to increase or decrease a little every month, otherwise those who are in charge of direct supervision will ask why they have been losing war horses for several months. It's really troublesome to lose dozens of horses and so on.

Supervisor Zhiyin...

Tsk tsk.

Sometimes Wei Xu really wants to kill those guys, but those Zhiyin supervisors just deal with documents in the official house every day, and then ask if there is any abnormality, and then write it down. Sometimes Wei Xu is impatient and explains randomly, they He didn't chase it all the way to the end, but just wrote down Wei Xu's words directly, so that Wei Xu would sometimes have to go back and make up a better version to change the original record.

Calling it an obstruction, it really was an obstruction, but Supervisor Zhiyin only focused on the writing. As long as the writing was correct, they wouldn't do anything more, so Wei Xu just tolerated it. After all, Wei Xu knew that smearing in writing was not a big problem, but if people were smeared inexplicably, it would be a big problem when it was investigated.

Then make a big one?

Wei Xu rolled his eyes, remembering that he had heard that there were horse thieves in that place in the Western Regions...
