Chapter 2712 There Are Thresholds for Advancement and Retreat

The next day.

Scripture teaching ceremony.

People from all over the country, including ordinary people, believers from all over the world, some ordinary officials, and descendants of noble families came to watch the fun, making the city of Chang'an connected with horses and carriages, creating a sea of people and a lively atmosphere.

Fortunately, Chang'an now has no city wall restrictions. The place is large enough and there are enough roads. If there is congestion here, you can go there. It will not be like a small town stuck at a certain exit, forming a bottleneck and causing a stampede...

The large and small Taoist priests in the Five Directions God's Dojo, with the help of Zuo Ci's command and arrangement and the patrol soldiers, followed the process step by step, which was quite smooth.

When Deglanzi rode his horse, holding a lamb in his arms, and escorted by a group of flag-bearing soldiers, he arrived on the street, which attracted bursts of cheers.

The characteristic of a lamb is that it is a flock rather than a party, and it can take the leader as its leader and follow suit every step of the way. It is the most appropriate introduction to this sutra-learning ceremony.

On both sides of the central avenue, groups of soldiers with bright armor stood holding spears, axes, axes, flags and other ritual vessels. Behind these soldiers were golden drums and musical instruments. As the queue marched, these golden drums sounded sonorously, and the sound of the drums further heightened the lively atmosphere.

While Feizhen and her sister were watching the ceremony on the high platform, many people in Chang'an City were also watching the ceremony.

"Is this a sutra-learning ceremony?" Why does it feel like a foreign contribution? 』

"Be careful! Be careful! 』

"What are you saying carefully?" If this happens, won't Shandong be in trouble? Do you still need to be careful? This person is nominally a Buddhist scholar, but with such a great momentum...this hussar has already attracted dissatisfaction in Shandong, and it is said that the emperor also..."

"You don't understand this... Now Qinglong Temple is obviously taking a different path... How can this road be so easy?" Haven't you heard that there are turmoils in the Five Directions Dojo... and in the Senryu Academy... If you make a mistake, it will not only be the Qiusi itself, but also the people around the Qiusi..."

"So, despite the unique scenery now, it's actually like standing on the tip of a knife?" It's better for me to wait for the common people and have peace of mind..."

"hehe……"

"Everyone, everyone! At this moment, it’s just a matter of watching the excitement. Don’t talk about national affairs. Don’t talk about national affairs, otherwise this group... ahem, I’m afraid this group of people won’t be able to get together..."

"Hi! I don’t think so! Think about it, Shandong has been dissatisfied with Hussar for more than a day or two... The pros and cons of Hussar are known to the whole world! So even if this is the case now, what can they do? What's more, this is to learn scriptures, like a foreigner, but it is not a pilgrimage to a foreigner! What's more, having said that, even if the hussar cannot perform this ceremony, is it possible that the people in Shandong are not afraid? Not afraid anymore? 』

"So, that's the truth..."

"Looking at Shandong and Guanzhong these years, isn't it obvious who is doing things and who is getting things done in this great Han world? Of course we care about what happens to the world, but what’s more important is that our own families have food to eat and clothes to wear! If Guanzhong can be as prosperous as before day and night under the guidance of Hussar, why should we be cautious? Where are you afraid? 』

"Oh, what my brother said is true! The stronger you are, the less you are afraid of rumors. The more fragile and fearful you are inside, the more you worry about what the people will say..."

"Wait a minute, this is a bit over the top, it's over! Let's just look at the present moment... I think this sutra-learning ceremony and the serious interpretation of Qinglong Temple complement each other! Look, the true scriptures, the true scriptures, aren’t they different but have the same purpose? 』

"Oh, when it comes to this matter...it's really hard to describe! Qinglong Temple's serious explanation is actually really good, but...hey! It's just that we have studied this text for generations, and finally achieved a small gain, but now... it's like the pavilions and canopies are cut down in one day, the inheritance is broken and we want to start a new continuation. This difficulty... is really..."

"New every day, new every day, new again and again!" Our ancestors studied the modern scriptures, and now we are studying this ancient scripture again, and interpret it seriously. Although there are indeed some difficulties, if we can go further and learn at the same time, what's the harm? If you are blindly lazy and stick to your humble opinions without thinking about changing them, you will have no hope of continuing your career! 』

"Eh! What this brother said makes sense! 』

"Yes Yes……"

"When the Han Dynasty is in high gear, so should the scriptures!" If we continue to stick to the old rules and cling to imperfections, sooner or later the scriptures passed down from generation to generation will be destroyed in our hands. Haven’t you noticed that people from this snowy area have come to learn from us? If we continue not to be vigilant, maybe one day all these scriptures will be lost to foreign vassals, but there will be none in the country! 』

"No, not so much..."

Although looking at the same picture, facing the same thing, and being on the same street, everyone still has different thoughts.

Feizhen stood on the high platform, holding her sister's hand, and her eyes followed the Buddhist monk Deglanzi as he slowly walked from one end of the street to the other. He also watched the people on both sides of the street either jumping for joy or whispering to each other. Either he was smiling, or he was looking calm, as if a huge picture had been unfolded under his eyes, and all the aspects of life were included in it.

"This is "ritual"..."

Feizhen murmured.

He understood a little bit, and of course it was only a little bit. If he wanted to tell him what he understood, he might still need to continue to settle and accumulate, study and think, but at least at this moment, he had a strong relationship with his father and Under the guidance of his mother, he found that he was no longer simply immersed in the excitement in front of him, but gradually started from a layman and explored the hidden threshold...

……(*≧∪≦)……

Some people think that something or someone is terrible, but there are also people who think that the same thing or person is not a big deal.

Self-thinking ability is undoubtedly a very important ability for human beings.

If you give up your ability to think and completely listen to what others say, will your brain become someone else's property? After others put some specious things in it, or simply throw it away, when you want to find it again, your brain is still clean and still in its original shape?

It's like a mobile phone assembled in later generations. After all the spare parts are replaced, is it still the same mobile phone?

If you know that parts have been replaced, of course you will feel that it is no longer the original phone, but what if you don’t know and don’t notice it? In daily use, the performance is exactly the same. Does anyone else think that it is different from the original phone?

What if the things replaced are not physical parts, but the invisible thoughts in the head?

There are many barbarians in the Western Regions.

In fact, there are many barbarians in China, but the appearance of these barbarians is not much different from that of the Chinese. For example, the Qiang, the Huns, and even some Xianbei people, as long as they take off their leather robes and tie their hair into a crown, they will Standing there silently and motionless, most likely no one would be able to tell the difference between them and the Han people.

However, in the Western Regions, there are not only the Hu people who look like Han people, but also the Ruren, Yuezhi, and other Xianbei races, whose appearance is very different from the Han people. The first is the height of the nose, the second is the depth of the eyes, the third is the difference in pupils, the fourth is the hair color, and the fifth is the skin color. They are all very different. Some of them look very fair, but if they work and live in the wild, they will change. Very red...

Different races of people have different thinking patterns.

This sentence is somewhat one-sided, but another sentence is relatively easy to understand, "The Chinese are like the Chinese, and the barbarians are like the barbarians."

Although in the early days of humanities, Chinese people did not understand anything similar to biological evolution, natural evolution, and cultural accumulation, this did not prevent these sages from China from proposing an idea that would still be rich even in later generations. A philosophical and universal discourse.

In the process of evolution, all life aims at survival, constantly adapts, and then develops and survives better.

This is true for tribes, and it is also true for Han people.

The Western Region is like a huge, chaotic pulverizer where the Hu people and the Han people collide with each other, constantly influencing each other and penetrating each other. In this pulverizer, although some of the original shapes can still be seen, there are also inevitable The possibility of being influenced by the other party.

Because Buddhism gradually expanded in the Western Regions, it also attracted more Buddhist practitioners to the Western Regions. At the same time, the arrival of these Buddhist practitioners also made Buddhism flourish in the Western Regions.

Some of these monks come from physical poison, and some come from rest. For these monks who believe in the Buddha, trekking across mountains and mountains seems to be a way of practice that they pursue.

In fact, the Buddhist style in the Western Regions is thanks to Qiuci.

Some people have rumors that Kucha was built by a prince of King Asoka, so Kucha believes in and admires Buddhism, but in fact this is not the case at all. The origin of Kucha is earlier than King Ashoka. It was in the early Bronze Age, that is, the Xia and Shang dynasties. These Europeans from the Caucasus became the earliest Kucha people.

So it can only be said that Kucha's later promotion of Buddhism was just a choice of the Kucha royal family at that time. It cannot be said that it has any blood connection with King Ashoka. Of course, King Ashoka controlled a large area at that time, and because he worshiped the strong, The introduction of Buddhism is also unknown.

Qiuci, who was originally following Guishang, was beaten hard by Li Ru and Lu Bu, and he suddenly became more honest. Especially after Guishang was swept out of the Western Regions, he was even more cautious for fear of offending Lu Bu.

Later, when Qiuci heard that Lu Bu, the Protector of the Western Regions, had begun to believe in Buddhism, he was immediately overjoyed and said, "I have this, I am familiar with it!" Immediately, they found the eminent monk who had come from Shendu from Qiuci, a man named Mitra, and sent him to the West Sea to express his submission to Lu Bu.

Lu Bu was also studying Buddhism during this period. When he heard that the eminent monk was coming, he was very happy and went to the city in person to welcome him and hold a banquet in honor of him.

After the initial greetings, Mitra asked: "The young monk looks at the general in a trance. Is there anything to worry about?" I wonder if I can inform this young monk so that he can use Buddhist teachings to enlighten the general. 』

Lu Buba smacked his lips and said, "I heard before that in Buddhism... the most important thing is cause and effect, but is this "cause and effect"... I don't understand it a little bit. Can you explain it in detail? 』

"If a general knows cause and effect, he has great wisdom. Mitra put his palms together and said, "Everything in the world is related. If you sow good, you will get good results, and if you sow evil, you will get bad results." For example, if a farmer cultivates a field, if he sows it well, he will get good fruits; if he sows it badly, he will get barnyard grass. 』

Does it make sense?

It does sound reasonable.

As long as we look at the beginning and end of things in a one-sided, fragmented and simple way, that is, cause and effect, this theory of cause and effect is the absolute truth.

Lu Bu thought about it, but couldn't figure out what was wrong, so he nodded and asked, "What about the cause and effect?" 』

"The result of being a general is the result of what happened before." If a general starts from now on and does all good deeds and does not get involved in all evil deeds, his good deeds will naturally protect his body and he will not suffer any bad consequences. ” Mitara answered smoothly again.

Lu Bu asked again: "I have heard that killing is evil." As a general, with a large number of troops, galloping on the battlefield, it is inevitable that he will be killed. Is it destined to have bad consequences? 』

When you are young, you don’t know how precious your body is... Well, that’s wrong, when you are young, you don’t know how precious your body is. When you get older, you will feel sore.

Among the generals galloping on the battlefield, how many are still in good health even when they are older? Especially a general like Lu Bu who takes a brave route. Perhaps only Zhao Yun's model can be considered healthier and longer-term. Lu Bu, for example, has gradually become aware of the discomfort caused by the decline in body function.

And the fear that pervades my heart...

Yes, fear.

Lu Bu spent his whole life on horseback, constantly fighting, fighting, and fighting. Fighting has become a part of his life and an important component of his life value.

When he found that his body was weakening, his skills were fading, and the most important things were gradually disappearing, how could he be calm and without any fear?

Midoro smiled and said smoothly, as if he had said these words countless times, with an unusual sense of familiarity, "General, don't worry." The Buddha also has the form of a vajra, destroying all evil. It's like a farmer getting rid of insects in the field. These insects are also living beings. Can't they be killed and let them devour the crops? My Buddha is compassionate, not that he cannot be killed, but that he cannot be killed because of selfish desires..."

Mitra said, and then pointed to the meat and vegetables on the table that he had not touched at all, "The general wanted to serve this to the young monk, so he killed it. If the young monk eats it, it will be like killing him for selfish reasons." Therefore, I dare not take it lightly. 』

Today's Buddhism does not prohibit meat, but only spicy foods.

To put it simply, if Lu Bu happens to be eating meat and sees Midora coming, he will share some Midora so that Midora can eat it. But if it is because Midora is coming, he will kill the cattle and sheep specially. Treats, if Midora eats them under such circumstances, there will be evil.

Then Mitra further explained: "The general was ordered to conquer in order to protect the country and the people. If someone is killed on the battlefield, it will not be counted as karma and there will be no evil in it." There are thieves who do evil and deserve bad consequences. If they are killed by a general, it is the general who facilitated the consequences, and it cannot be regarded as the general's killing karma. If an innocent person does no evil in his life, he should receive good consequences. If he is killed by a general, then the general will destroy the cause and effect, and the good consequences will turn into evil consequences, which will backfire on the general. 』

These words hit Lu Bu's pain point.

Because the previous eminent monk also said the same about him...

The whole body is soaked in blood, the ghost who died due to injustice and so on.

As a result, another one came and said the same thing.

You have to know that Lu Bu fought in various places back then. Did he really care about good and evil? Even the graves of ancestors underground have been excavated. To supplement military expenditures, it is also common to plunder and plunder villages.

If we follow the Buddhist teachings, there will really be a lot of bad consequences, and the whole body will be filled with killing karma.

So Lu Bu asked again: "If you have created evil causes, will you suffer the evil consequences?" Is there any way to avoid it? 』

Mitra smiled and said, "General, there is no need to worry." A variety of good causes can naturally suppress evil causes and lead to good results. If you are sincere to the Buddha, you can naturally purify the evil in your heart... If the general is interested, the young monk can stay for a few more days to teach the general the Dharma..."

For these monks, promoting Buddhism is already a life value, so they will not let go of the opportunity.

So Mitra not only preached Buddhism to Lu Bu, but also specially asked Lu Bu to summon people to listen to the lecture.

Mitra lectured for three days.

The mouth of Luoxuan River is there.

There is no such thing as hype.

Because I don’t understand.

The causal relationship can be understood to some extent, but not everyone can straighten out the logical relationship. From concrete matters to abstract concepts, this is another big problem, just like why not eat minced meat? Why don't the Han people even have a bowl of white rice?

So although it was said that Mitra held the lecture for three days, in fact the only ones who persisted from beginning to end were Lu Bu and a few of his close associates, and most of the other officials came to hang out. Most of them were on the first day, but after that, some people gradually left, and some even leaned over and dozed off while listening...

After leaving the auditorium, Lu Bu asked Wei Xu who was beside him as he walked, "What do you think of his speech?" 』

Wei Xu stayed with Lu Bu for the past three days and listened carefully.

Therefore, Lu Bu felt that Wei Xu understood a lot.

Wei Xu looked sideways at Lu Bu's face and asked, "Does the Protector feel there is something wrong?" 』

"Is this..." Lu Bu still frowned, "I can't explain it. I think it makes sense... but I don't quite understand... What do you think?" Is it good or bad? 』

Wei Xu's eyes wandered, "This...should be good..."

"Do you understand? Lu Bu asked again.

"Well, I understand this a little bit, and I don't understand a little bit, but regardless of whether I understand it or not, I just feel good..." Wei Xu continued to observe Lu Bu's expression, "But there are some things he can't explain, which is not good..."

Lu Bu nodded.

"How about I invite some other eminent monks to come?" ” Wei Xu said, “Can anyone else explain it better? 』

"Others..." Lu Bu thought for a while, then waved his hand, "Forget it for now, I want to think about it for myself first..."
