Chapter 1592 A War Without a Winner (Part 44)

Chapter 1594: A War Without a Winner (Forty-four)

"What have you been busy with recently?"

Looking at the documents piled on the dining table, Ginny came out of the kitchen with a large plate of pies. Her eyes could not help but sweep over the pile of Muggle books, and curiously asked Hermione who was concentrating on reading the documents.

"Albert wants to bring electricity to the village."

"Electricity? Are you talking about the pile of batteries in Dad's warehouse?"

The word electricity is definitely not unfamiliar to Ginny.

"Not quite the same, a battery can only be regarded as a small power storage device." Hermione carefully considered her words and explained to Ginny: "Electricity is actually a kind of energy. In the Muggle world, electrical energy is as magical as wizards' magic. It can do many incredible things and bring us many conveniences. As long as electricity is connected, we at least no longer need to use oil lamps and candles for lighting."

"I still don't quite understand, but Dad should like this topic very much."

In the elective courses in the third grade, Ginny did not choose Muggle Studies, so she didn't know much about this aspect.

However, she herself doesn't really care about these things. Most wizards are not interested in understanding Muggles, let alone those strange things invented by Muggles that don't use magic.

"Would you like a piece of pie?"

Ginny handed the plate full of pies to Hermione and introduced it to her bestie, "The latest flavors, you will definitely have unexpected surprises."

"Okay, thank you."

Hermione put down the document on photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation, picked up a piece of pie from the big plate handed by Ginny and took a bite. She was surprised to find that the pie was a sweet bean filling.

"Red bean pie. Dobby seems to call this dessert like this, saying that it is a recipe that Albert brought back from the Far East." Ginny likes this dessert very much, at least it tastes much better than meat pie.

Unfortunately, they don't have the cooking level of house elves and can't completely replicate red bean pie.

"Albert is really good at eating."

Hermione glanced at the red bean pie in her hand and suspected that it was different from the dessert baked by Dobby.

"How does it taste?"

Mrs. Weasley came out of the kitchen with a pot of hot cocoa, glanced at the clock on the wall, and poured a cup of hot cocoa for Hermione and Ginny: "I have never made food like this, it feels quite troublesome."

"It tastes very good, but the pie crust is a bit too hard." Hermione said and then cleverly changed the subject, "This should be a dessert from a country in the Far East."

"How do you know?"

Ginny was very interested in this. Since she tasted the various afternoon tea desserts prepared by the house elf Dobby, she lost interest in the hard meat pie.

"The last time I went to Australia to find my family, Albert bought several local cookbooks specifically, saying that he wanted the house elves to learn how to cook." Hermione reluctantly finished the still hot pie in her hand, and she had no desire to eat again.

To be honest, this thing is not too bad, but after tasting the more delicious finished product, naturally I am not interested in the pile of "failed experiments" in front of me.

"By the way, when will the house over there be built?" Mrs. Weasley suddenly asked about something she was concerned about.

"This..." Ginny and Hermione exchanged glances: "We don't know either."

"Most of the framework of the house has been completed. According to Mr. Joseph Croix, at the current speed, most of the projects should be completed within half a year."

"Half a year?"

Mrs. Weasley frowned slightly. She was not dissatisfied with the progress of the project, but she knew that her daughter's wedding might not be able to be delayed until the village project was completely completed.

At that time, the location of the wedding would be a problem. It can't be held at the Burrow.

Such a hasty wedding is likely to become a laughing stock, making the guests look down on Harry. The Weasleys don't want this to happen.

"It's already very soon." Ginny guessed what her mother was thinking and comforted her softly, "It changes almost every day over there."

"Sirius and I have set the date for your wedding with Harry, which is August 15 this year." Mrs. Weasley suddenly said, "It's a bit tight in terms of time, but there's nothing we can do about it."

"In fact, just hold a small wedding and invite some familiar friends to attend. It doesn't need to be too troublesome at all." Ginny didn't care much about her wedding. For her, as long as she could be with Harry, it was enough.

Mrs. Weasley looked at her daughter, and finally said that I would discuss this matter with your father and Sirius when the time comes, and then she got up and walked away.

"Mom is still not very happy. She thinks I'm too young now, even underage, but she has nothing to complain about." Ginny looked at Mrs. Weasley's back and turned back to Hermione and said, "I don't really care about the wedding. Mom eloped with Dad back then. Their wedding didn't get many people's blessings, but they were still very happy."

Even if Harry had nothing like Lupin, Ginny would marry Harry resolutely like Tonks.

In the end, they didn't care about these things.

Moreover, when their parents eloped together, they didn't really care about those things, so why do they care about them now?

"I also think that as long as you and Harry can be happy, it's enough!" Hermione also agreed with Ginny's words. The wedding is just a process, and it's not that important whether it happens or not.

"How are you and Ron?" Ginny suddenly asked tentatively.

Hermione almost spit out the hot cocoa in her mouth. After a violent dry cough, she looked up at Ginny in surprise.

"Ron and I are just... good friends."

"Just friends?"

If Ginny wasn't also curious about the answer to this question, she would never agree to help Ron find out Hermione's feelings.

"Ron asked you to ask?"

Hermione quickly realized what was going on and said with a slightly contemptuous tone, "I thought he would be bold enough to ask me himself."

"Ron is just afraid that your relationship will become strained and you won't even be friends in the end." Ginny has made up her mind not to provide any help to Ron, the loser.

"I actually considered..."

"Considering Ron?" Ginny's eyes lit up.

"Considering my future." Hermione fell into a brief memory.

Ginny pricked up her ears and listened.

"You know, I like Albert, but it's a pity that I came too late and didn't have any chance at all." Hermione did not shy away from her emotional problems, "Later, I considered Harry."

"Considering Harry?" Ginny asked vigilantly.

"I still remember when Albert rejected me, he once told me that if I wanted to develop in the Ministry of Magic and try to get a high position in the future, I could consider developing my friendship with Harry into a relationship."

Ignoring Ginny's wonderful expression, Hermione continued, "Albert thought that after Harry defeated Voldemort, he would definitely gain a high reputation, which would help me develop in the Ministry of Magic in the future. Moreover, our relationship was very good at that time, and it had an emotional foundation, which was much better than finding someone you like to date again."

"Later, I gave up."

"Why?" Ginny looked complicated.

"It is undeniable that I do have a crush on Harry. But I was actually very angry at the time. When I calmed down completely, I found that Albert was right. Harry is indeed the best choice for me at the moment. But... you also know that the wizard war has completely broken out, and none of us can be sure that we will survive to the end, especially after Harry confessed to me that he needed to "die". As Harry's friend, I hope that he can survive this war, so I gave the opportunity to you, because I think you are more suitable than me to awaken Harry's inner desire to live, and I have more important things to do."

Hermione lied, but not completely, just like Albert's truth with lies, but this "sincere" expression undoubtedly made Ginny feel extremely embarrassed.

Who asked her to try to match herself with Ron?
