Chapter 366 Boarding the Hogwarts Express (Modified)
Perhaps all the good weather was consumed during the summer vacation, and the night before school started, it rained heavily.
Raindrops slammed on the roof, mixed with the howling and groaning of gusts of wind.
The people in the room were extremely busy, and the half-packed boxes were spread out on the floor, and the things the school told them to bring were stacked inside.
Miranda Gorshack, the youngest of nine sisters in the impoverished Gorshack family, had Standard Spells, Level 4, her go-to spellbook author, at the top. In addition, there was a new quill, twelve rolls of parchment; and what needed to be replenished in his potion-making raw material box--
But at this time, Allen was in a daze facing several robes and dresses.
"Mom, are you sure this is for me to take to school, not for a palace dinner?" Allen looked at the purple velvet robe with white ruffles, and couldn't laugh or cry.
"This is a dress robe!" Morgan Le Fay obviously misunderstood Allen's meaning. "The list issued by your school says that you should prepare a dress robe this year...it is a robe for formal occasions."
"Mom, of course I know that dresses are worn on formal occasions, but this one is too exaggerated." Allen looked at his mother suspiciously. He had reason to suspect that his mother must have a lot of other dresses.
Sure enough, Morgan Le Fay brought in several dresses of different colors from outside the door.
"This is the court style that is very popular recently!" Morgan Le Fay handed Ellen a dark green one of the same style.
"This is the court style that was popular a hundred years ago." Alan, who refuted his mother in his heart but dared not say it in person, could only shake his head repeatedly, resolutely refusing to accept it: "I think H94 is more suitable for proms than them."
"Okay." Mrs. Harris put away those robes with a look of regret, "Then, there is another black one, you will definitely like it."
Allen looked at Morgan Le Fay suspiciously.
"Although this one is quite standard, it should meet your requirements. Wearing H94, what does it look like?"
The clothes that Mrs. Harris brought out again, compared to the previous ones, can almost be described as simple, but the clothes are all hand-made, with exquisite workmanship, every stitch and thread, meticulously crafted, and integrated into one piece. To the touch, that comfortable feeling permeates every cell of the body almost instantly.
Allen took it silently, folded it neatly, and put it in the box.
Morgan Le Fay smiled, and left the room holding several other dresses that were disliked. She had known her son's preferences and deliberately bought a few sets of overly exaggerated dresses so that Allen could quickly accept them. ....
When Allen woke up the next morning, the rain was still pounding on the windows.
At Morgan Le Fay's insistence, he had to go back to his room and put on another sweater.
But he had been keeping an eye out for messages from the Ministry of Magic. Allen is extremely strange. According to his memory, at least by this time, there should be news of Moody's accident?
Why is there no movement at all?
What's wrong with this?
Allen hesitated, and still did not tell Mr. Harris that Moody might be impersonated by Crouch Jr.
He decided to meet that Moody at school, and talk about it after confirming the truth.
"It's almost time, you have to go quickly-I wish you all the best this semester, children." Morgan Le Fay said to Allen, Hermione and Luna while putting a cloak on Hermione's Shoulder, "Honey, you're wearing too little."
When the trio Apparated to King's Cross Station, rain poured down on them.
Allen immediately took out his umbrella, though, drenched as they carried their suitcases across the busy street, into the station, through the wall, and onto platform 9°.
For Allen, boarding the Hogwarts Express was already a familiar matter.
But this year feels very different from previous years.
The Hogwarts Express stops there,
It was a crimson steam locomotive, belching billows of smoke.
Looking through the smoke, many of the Hogwarts students and parents on the platform appeared to be dark ghosts.
When Allen walked into it, the ghosts rolled over immediately.
"Look, Alan Harris." An extremely excited child's voice sounded.
"Alan Harris! Where is it?"
"Is that Allen?"
There were crowds of people on the platform, and everyone was looking forward, hoping to see his appearance clearly.
Allen struggled to pass through the enthusiastic crowd, boarded the train, and began to look for seats. Soon, they moved their luggage into a box on the train.
The engine's pistons hissed loudly and the train moved.
"Tell us what happened to Hogwarts! What did they change the charter?"
The dense raindrops were crackling on the glass windows, but even so, the shouts from outside could be clearly heard.
The Weasley twins.
Allen knew exactly what they were asking, and so did one other.
"Ha, you don't even know?" A drawn out voice sounded.
"Are you eavesdropping on us?" Ron's angry voice sounded.
"You're shouting so loudly, you don't need to eavesdrop, okay?" Draco Malfoy exclaimed disdainfully.
"However, you will definitely participate. After all, one is poor and short of money; the other never misses a chance to show off." Malfoy made a series of loud ridicules, his two followers Crabbe and Gore also smirked, his voice rough and harsh.
"What are you talking about?" Ron asked angrily.
"Your father and your brother both work in the Ministry of Magic, how could you not know? My God, my father told me a long time ago... from Mr. Owen Harris. Anyway, Dad is in contact with People at the top of the Ministry of Magic... probably your father is too low in rank to have a right to know, Weasley... yes, that's right... they probably never talk about important topics in his presence..."
Malfoy laughed again.
Allen stood up and opened the door of the box, "Draco, I told you before, have you met your crush and forgotten?"
Malfoy's laughter stopped abruptly, he restrained his smile, straightened his body, and stood beside Allen.
"Ha, Malfoy, you are now Alan's follower, someone else's running dog?" Ron also dragged his voice and shouted, "That's fine, Alan's reputation is so big now, being his dog You are really suitable."
"Ron, Alan is helping us." Harry heard Alan's name and said something fair, which also made Alan give up his refutation of Ron's provocative behavior.
But Harry was also quite sad in his heart. Once, he also had a close relationship with Alan like Malfoy.
Ron stood up, walked into the empty box next to him, and slammed the door of the box. He used so much force that the glass on the door was smashed.
The train kept going north, and the rain was getting heavier and harder. The sky was dark and the car windows were covered with steam, so the lanterns were lit in broad daylight. Quack clack, the lunch cart rolls down the aisle, and Alan buys a big stack of cauldron cakes for everyone to share.
