Chapter 842: General Wizard and Snape

"Then what?"

"And then? Oh, Hermione, then your tests will come, won't they? They'll make you a diligent student," Fred said with a satisfied look on his face.

"We spend half the year studying for the Ordinary Wizarding Level exams," George said happily. "Tears and tantrums..."

"That's what happened to Geeta when the liquid was boiling. Do you remember, George?" Fred recalled.

"That's because you put Bulbado powder in his jacket," George said.

"Oh, right, that's it..." Fred said, showing his teeth in a smile. "I forgot...it's hard to remember something very clearly, isn't it?"

"All in all, it was a nightmare in Year 5," George said. "If you don't mind your test results, fine. Fred and I have to maintain our Woodpeckers somehow."

"Yeah," Fred said casually. "But we feel like there's more to our future than just lying in the academy."

"Our most serious debate was whether we should come here to school in our seventh year," George said sharply, "and now we have-"

He stopped when Fanlin cast a warning look at him. George knew that it was Harry who gave him the money he won in the Warriors Tournament, and there was also a large sum of money from Fanlin.

"Now we have our Ordinary Wizarding Certificates," George said hastily. "I mean, do we really need the Ultimate Wizard's certificate? But we figured Mum wouldn't let us leave school too early and become the world's stupidest people after Percy."

"We're not going to waste our last year here," Fred said, glancing into the foyer. "We're going to use it to do a lot of surveys to find out what the average Hogwarts student needs in a joke shop, carefully evaluate the results of the surveys, and then produce products to fill that need."

"But how do you raise the money to open a joke shop?" Hermione asked doubtfully. "You need all the materials and ingredients - and the premise, I guess..."

Harry didn't look at the twins. He blushed; he didn't want to drop his fork and bend down to pick it up.

He heard Fred say over his head: "Don't ask us questions and we won't lie to you, Hermione. Come on, George, maybe we can sell a few of them if we get there early."

Harry looked up from under the table so he could see Fred and George walking away, each carrying a pile of toast.

"What does that mean?" Hermione said, looking between the three older boys. "'Don't ask us questions...' Does that mean they already have some funds to open a joke shop?"

"You know, I'm surprised by this," Ron said, his eyebrows furrowing. "They bought me a dress for the summer and I don't know where they got the money for it."

"Maybe they made a small profit, but don't worry about it..." Fan Lin said, "Anyway, you have a new gift, right? Ron, maybe this is out of their love for you."

"Care? Oh, okay..." Ron nodded.

"Wait a minute Fan Lin, are you..."

"I promise, I will listen to you." Fan Lin said immediately.

"Oh, maybe we can discuss the next few days." Harry said with a slight blush, "Do you think this year is going to be difficult? Because of the exams?"

"Oh, yes," said Ron, "It will, won't it? The Ordinary Levels are important, for work and you can use them for everything. We have career choices, too, Bill told me . So you can choose which ultimate wizard level exam to take next year.”

"Have you ever thought about what to do after Hogwarts?" Harry asked the others as they left the foyer to go to History of Magic.

"Not sure," Ron said slowly, "Unless...well..." He looked shy.

"What?" Harry asked him.

"Well, being an Auror is cool." Ron said in a very casual voice.

"Yes, it is," said Harry enthusiastically.

"This is a good choice, Ron. It can also help Mr. Weasley. I think Mrs. Weasley will very much approve of you going to work in the Ministry of Magic." Fan Lin affirmed, "However, you have to wait for a while. Yes, but we still have three years until graduation."

"You'd do well. What about you, Hermione?" Harry asked.

"I don't know," she said. "I thought I might do something worth doing."

"Being an Auror is well worth it!" Harry said.

"Yes, but it's not the only thing worth doing," Hermione said thoughtfully. "What I mean is, if the Elf Welfare Promotion Association can be continued..."

Harry and Ron tried to avoid looking at each other.

"Uh..." Fan Lin was also a little speechless, but he expressed support or something. Isn't this a basic operation?

History of Magic is often considered the most boring course for wizards.

Professor Binns, their ghost teacher, kept talking in a breathy, low and sleepy voice. He never changed their lessons, but neither stopped his lecture while they took notes, or preferred to stare sleepily into the air.

Harry and Ron never bothered with the subject except to copy Hermione's notes before exams; she seemed to be resistant to the hypnotic voice of Professor Binns.

Today they endured an hour and a half of narration in deep voices about the giants' war. After Harry stayed in the classroom for 10 minutes and looked at the book with his eyes, he realized that this course would be much more interesting if it were taught by other teachers, and Fanlin did just that. He would always be much better than Professor Binns. ,but……

What's in Fanlin's hand? Alchemy notes? Or a detailed explanation of magic patterns in the Middle Ages?

Oh, well, in fact, Harry wanted to see more, but his head seemed to stop moving, and then he spent almost an hour and 0 minutes playing the hangman's game with Ron on the parchment, when Hermione shot them a disgusted look out of the corner of her eye.

"What will become of you?" Hermione asked dryly as they left the classroom. "What if I don't lend you my notes this year?"

"We will fail our Ordinary Wizarding Level exams," said Ron. "If you can stand your conscience, Hermione..."

"That's as it should be," she said sternly. "You never even listen to his lectures, do you?"

"I did try," Ron said. "I just don't have your intelligence, your memory, or your concentration. You're just smarter than us. Do you think it's pleasant to touch us?"

"Oh, don't talk that nonsense to us," Hermione said, but she looked calmer as she entered the damp courtyard.

A misty drizzle was falling, so the people huddled at the edge of the yard looked blurry.

Harry, Ron, Fanlin and Hermione chose a secluded corner under the rainy balcony, opened the collar of their robes to fight the cold autumn wind, and discussed what Snape would do in his first lesson of the year. Teach them a lesson, they've already considered how bad this could be, especially after their involvement in the Order of the Phoenix and the number of meetings between Professor Snape and them anyway...

This feels like a terrible thing.

At this time a person came over.

"Hello, Harry!" That was Zhang Qiu.

She was almost always surrounded by a group of laughing girls.

Harry remembered the pain of asking him to the Yule Ball.

"Okay," Harry said, feeling his face turn red. "At least you look like a fool this time," he told himself.

"How was your vacation?" Qiu tried to ask.

"Yes," Harry said, trying a toothy smile, although the memory of their last date was still fresh in his mind, "So, did you, um, have a nice summer?"

Harry looked so stupid when he blushed, which made the girls around him laugh.

In fact, these words also touched Qiu's pain point.

The word "pleasant" obviously didn't apply when Cedric left Qiu, but Qiu still smiled reluctantly.

"Fortunately, Harry, what are you trying to do..."

"Professor Snape's class." Harry answered honestly.

"Oh, then go ahead, Professor Snape..." Qiu said halfway, and then was pulled away by the girl next to her. It seemed that the girl didn't like Qiu and Harry's contact.

"People have gone far, brother." Fan Lin bumped Harry's shoulder. After coming from Qiu, he took Ron and others behind.

"Ah...well, yes..."

"How was the conversation?" Fan Lin asked.

"It's not bad..." Harry thought about it for a moment, but now he couldn't think of anything, "It's quite pleasant..."

"Happy?" Fan Lin asked.

"Maybe..." Harry answered uncertainly.

However, along the way, Harry kept thinking about it, and when they joined the long queue in front of Snape's classroom, Harry couldn't help but think about it.

She chose to walk up to him and talk to him, didn't she? She had been Cedric's girlfriend; she could have easily hated Harry for making it out of the Contest of Champions maze alive while Cedric turned into a vampire and forced Cedric to abandon Cho, but she But she spoke to him completely like a friend, without treating him as a madman or a liar, or holding him responsible for Cedric's accident.

Yes, she did choose to talk to him, and did so for the second time in two days.

Thinking of this, Harry was very happy.

Although the creak of the door to Snape's classroom didn't diminish as it opened, the bubble of hope grew in his chest.

"Is there something wrong with Harry?" Hermione asked quietly. She saw Harry frowning for a while, then grinning...

"Maybe." Fan Lin curled his lips. He knew Harry's contradiction. Cedric was involved because of Harry, but it was not Harry who was responsible. What's more, Cedric and Qiu had separated.

"perhaps?"

"Now his mind is full of Qiu, so we don't need to worry about him, just like I am full of you, it's the same reason." Fan Lin whispered.

Hermione's face suddenly turned red, which made Fan Lin feel very comfortable.

But Snape's lessons are still necessary.

Harry followed Ron, Fan Lin and Hermione into the classroom and walked to the table at the end where they usually sat. Even Harry didn't notice that he sat directly between Fan Lin and Hermione.

This made Fan Lin a little helpless, but Professor Snape's old face was right there, who could ignore it?

"Sit down," Snape said coolly, and closed the door.

In fact, giving orders in class is unnecessary; when the classroom hears the sound of the door closing, it becomes quiet and all movements stop.

Snape's expression was enough to silence the classroom.

"Before today's class," Snape said, walking up to his podium and starting to look around at them, "I would like to give you a proper reminder that in June you will be taking an important exam to see how good you are. How are you doing in composition and magic potions? No doubt there are idiots in the class, and I expect you to barely pass your Ordinary Wizarding Level exam, or choose to bear my displeasure."

He stared at Neville for a moment, who was trying to suppress his fear.

"When this year is over, of course, many of you will no longer be studying with me," Snape continued. "I will only let the very best students into my Magic Potions class for the Ultimate Wizarding Level Examination, which means some of you will be saying goodbye."

His eyes stopped on Harry and his mouth pursed. Harry glared at him, suddenly feeling extremely happy at the thought of giving up Potions after his fifth year.

"But we still have one year before we can happily say goodbye. Before that time comes," Snape said softly, "Whether you want to try the ultimate wizard level or not, I suggest you put all your energy into this course. if not……"

Before Snape finished speaking, the professor just looked coldly, then turned around, and the black cloak behind him puffed up, like the wings of a bat.

(I don’t know if you have heard of Batman. He is the one whose superpower is money.)

"Today we will be mixing a potion, which is often tested on ordinary wizard level examinations: the potion of peace, a potion that can calm anxiety and relieve excitement. Note: if you are too clumsy when placing the ingredients, you will drink the potion. People sleep forever, so you need to be very careful about what you are doing.”

To Harry's left, Hermione sat up straighter and said she was trying to concentrate. Fan Lin, on the other hand, looked sideways at Hermione, and then looked at the notes on the blackboard.

"Materials and methods—" Snape suddenly shook his wand, "—are on the blackboard... you will find everything you need..."

He waved his wand again "In the locker." (The locker door suddenly opened)

"...You have half an hour, start..."

Just as Harry had predicted, Snape gave them harder, more boring potions.

"If there is no problem, the material appears in the large pot accurately and in just enough quantity; the mixture is stirred in the pot accurately, first clockwise and then counterclockwise; when the flame is too hot it is lowered to suit the special medicine When all the ingredients are added, a cloud of glowing silver vapor should now rise from your large cauldron," Snape said slowly.

After ten minutes passed.

Harry was sweating profusely and looking desperately at the dungeon.

His large cauldron emits black-gray steam; Ron's emits green sparks. Seamus excitedly poked his wand at the bottom of his large cauldron, as if that would adjust Hope.

The surface of Hermione's potion was shimmering with hazy silver vapor. When Snape looked down from his aquiline nose, there was no criticism, because he could not find any reason to find fault.

Fan Lin has already put the potion into the bottle, which is not difficult for him.

In front of Harry's big cauldron, Snape stopped and looked down with a most disgusting smirk.

"Potter, imagine what this could be like?" The Slytherins at the front of the classroom looked back enthusiastically, enjoying listening to Snape mocking Harry.

"Peace potion?" Harry said nervously.

"Tell me Harry," Snape said softly, "can you read?" (To be continued)
