Chapter 846 Tired Harry

"But I'm telling the truth!" Harry looked very angry, his chest heaving violently. In an instant, Harry was extremely disgusted with Umbridge.

"Voldemort is back, you know him; Professor Dumbledore knows he is..."

"God knows, Potter!" said Professor McGonagall, adjusting her glasses angrily. "Do you really know if this is true or a lie? Control your temper!" She stood up, her nostrils widening but But his lips became thinner, and Harry stood up.

"Another cookie," she said irritably, pointing to the can at him.

"No, thank you," Harry said dryly.

"Don't be so embarrassed," Professor McGonagall said sternly.

Harry took a slice.

"Is it possible that you didn't listen to Professor Umbridge's speech at the first banquet of the semester?"

"Listen," said Harry.

"Yes...she said...that progress would be prohibited or...well, what it means is that the Ministry of Magic intends to interfere with Hogwarts."

Professor McGonagall stared at him for a few minutes, then took a breath, stepped away from the table, and opened the door for him.

"Well, I'm glad you listened to Fanlin and the others." She said, pointing to the door, signaling for Harry to leave her office.

That night's dinner in the Great Hall was not a pleasant one for Harry. Word of his conflict with Umbridge spread rapidly around Hogwarts. When he sat down to eat among Ron, Fanlin and Hermione, he heard whispers around him. Interestingly, no one seemed to mind that he overheard them talking about him. Instead, they seemed to want Harry to get angry again and yell at them so they could hear his story firsthand.

There are stories about Cedric's anomalies and what happened during the night of the Goblet of Fire.

"You are so irrational, Harry." Fan Lin shook his head and said, and stabbed a small piece of beef with his fork.

"I'm just telling them the truth," Harry said angrily.

"But obviously, it's useless. We don't have the facts. We can't open your head and show them all your memories and thoughts." Fan Lin shook his head, "Besides, you didn't notice Umbridge's Expression? She is very satisfied with your performance!"

"Satisfied?" Harry said in surprise.

"What else? Are you so angry that I am half-dead? If this is Professor McGonagall, it is very likely to happen." Fan Lin continued to move his hands as he spoke.

"What does it mean?"

"What Fan Lin means is that Umbridge doesn't care what happens to us," Hermione said angrily, "There is no spell practice in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class? This is simply a joke."

"The Ministry of Magic is just afraid of Dumbledore and Hogwarts, so he is thinking of ways to weaken Hogwarts. This doesn't take long, maybe half a year, maybe a year. Wizards who don't need magic spells There is no threat at all, and what Umbridge wants is your reaction now."

"Angry, irritable, irrational, and openly confronting the teacher in the Hogwarts classroom, this has never happened in decades." Fan Lin said slowly, "This gave her a lot Reasons and excuses.”

The intense discussion has not stopped for a moment since Harry sat here.

"He said he saw Cedric murdered."

"Weren't you turned into a vampire?"

"What's the difference between that and death, a legitimate wizard being turned into a vampire?"

"He thought he had dueled Voldemort."

"Don't mention it..."

"Is he kidding?"

"Ter-Zis"

"Actually, Harry, I don't think they believe it," Hermione seemed to have had enough, "Let's get out of here."

She put down her knife and fork abruptly; Fanlin was grateful that he kept eating, while Ron looked longingly at his half-eaten apple pie, but then left. Everyone watched them walk out of the hall.

"What do you mean, you're not sure they believe Dumbledore?"

Harry asked Hermione as they reached the first floor.

"Look, you don't know what happened after that," Hermione said calmly. "You went back to the middle of the grass by yourself. The teachers didn't find Cedric. No one saw what happened. We just know Dumbledore said that Voldemort had returned and his companions attacked Cedric and attacked you."

"This is the truth!" Harry shouted.

"I know it is, Harry, so please don't interrupt me?" Hermione said tiredly, "Before the facts are known, everyone goes home to spend the summer. After Fanlin and I come back, I Spent several days reading about You're a Madman and Dumbledore is Old."

"The situation is much worse than you think. Even Rita is not that aggressive, and Fudge's people are above the Daily Prophet..."

Fan Lin said simply, but Harry obviously couldn't listen.

Rain pelted the panes as they walked down the empty corridors back to Gryffindor Tower. It felt like a week had passed to Harry, and he still had a lot of homework to do before going to bed.

He felt a slight pain in his right eye. He glanced at the dark playground behind the rain-washed window, then turned and entered the Fat Lady's corridor. There was still no light in Hagrid's hut.

Mimbrass, Mimbretonia, Hermione answered before the Fat Lady asked.

The portrait moved away, revealing a hole into which the four men crawled. The common room was almost empty, with most people still having dinner downstairs.

Crookshanks rose from his armchair and trotted toward them, purring loudly, while Harry, Ron, Verlin, and Hermione were near the fire.

Crookshanks jumped gently onto Hermione's lap, curled up like a fluffy, buff cushion.

Harry stared into the flames, feeling exhausted.

"How could Dumbledore let this happen?" Hermione shouted suddenly, making Harry and Ron jump to their feet. Crookshanks jumped away from her, offended. She slapped the handle of the chair so hard that some debris jumped out of the hole.

"Why would he let this troublesome woman teach us? Especially in the year when we are going to take the Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination!"

"We've never had a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher," said Harry. "You know it's like Hagrid told us, no one wants the job, they say it's bad luck."

"Yes, but hire someone who actually refuses to teach us how to use magic! What is Dumbledore doing?"

"And she's trying to get someone to keep an eye on her," Ron said gloomily. "Remember when she said she wanted us to come over and tell her when we heard the news about the mysterious man's return?"

"Of course she's spying on us, that's obvious, but why did Fudge call her here?" Hermione said suddenly.

"A deal, rather, it is a necessary compromise for Dumbledore." Fan Lin said, "The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts is not a popular position. This is also part of it, and more Yes, this is an important means used by the Ministry of Magic to interfere with Hogwarts. I have met Umbridge at the Ministry of Magic. In fact, Fudge trusts Umbridge very much. It can be said that she is Fudge's confidant, and she is also a member of the Ministry of Magic. As deputy minister, she is the most suitable person for this job.”

"Okay, okay..." Harry said slightly tiredly, "Can't we just do our homework and forget about this."

Several people nodded.

They took out their schoolbags from the corner and returned to their seats. Everyone has just returned from dinner.

Harry lowered his head, but could still feel the looks he was drawing. (To be continued)
