Chapter 797 War

In fact, the mere mention of Voldemort's name would cause people to leave the table and walk around in nervous fear.

Lupine, who had been about to sip a glass of delicious wine, slowly lowered his goblet, looking very alert.

"I did!" Harry said angrily. "I asked Ron and Hermione, but they said the orders didn't allow them to do that, so-"

"They're quite right, though," said Mrs. Weasley. "You are too young, and Fanlin, you should know what to say and what not to say."

Weasley sat in her chair facing the door, her fists clenched, showing no signs of sleep.

"Since when does someone have to ask questions within the confines of the Phoenix Order?" Sirius asked. "Harry was trapped in that Muggle house for a month. He had a right to know what was going on. What's up……"

"Stop!" George interrupted Sirius loudly.

"How is Harry going to get the answer to his question then?" Fred said angrily. "We've been trying to get information from you for a month, and you haven't told us even one old stinky thing!" George said.

"You're too young, you're not a member of the Order," Fred said in an unusually high-pitched voice that mimicked his mother's. "Harry's even younger!"

"It's not my fault that you were not informed of the operational details of the order," Sirius said calmly, "That was your parents' decision. But on the other hand Harry -"

"It's not your turn to decide what's good for Harry yet!" Mrs. Weasley said sharply. A dangerous look came over her usually friendly face. "I assume you haven't forgotten what Dumbledore said?"

"Which passage are you referring to?" Sirius asked politely, but the air was thick with the tension of a man preparing for a fight himself. "The one about not telling Harry more than he needs to know."

Mrs. Weasley emphasized the last three words.

Ron, Hermione, Fred and George moved their heads between Sirius and Mrs. Weasley as if they were watching a tennis match.

Ginny was kneeling on top of a pile of discarded honey cubes, watching the conversation with her mouth slightly open.

Lupine's eyes were fixed on Sirius.

Fan Lin, on the other hand, hid next to Hermione and shivered, fearing that the flames of war would burn him. He plays a very awkward role in this duel. As a friend, he represents Harry, but as a wizard...

"I have no intention of telling Harry more than he needs to know, Molly," said Sirius. "But he was the one who saw Voldemort's return with his own eyes."

"He has more authority than most of us to know—"

"He's not a member of the Phoenix Order!" said Mrs. Weasley. "He's only fifteen, and—"

"And he's solved as many problems as most members of the Order," said Sirius, "and even more than some."

"No one denies what he did!" Mrs. Weasley's voice rose, her fists shaking on the arm of her chair. "But he's still just-"

"He's not a child!" Sirius said impatiently.

"He's not an adult either!" A blush crept up Mrs. Weasley's cheeks. "He's not James, Sirius!"

"I know exactly who he is, thank you for reminding me, Molly," Sirius said coolly.

"But I'm not sure you know that!" said Mrs. Weasley. "The way you talk to Harry sometimes, it's like you think your best friend is back!"

"What's wrong with that?" Harry asked.

"What's wrong with that, Harry? The fault is that you are not your father, but you are very similar to him in many aspects!" Mrs. Weasley's eyes were still staring at Sirius. "You're still in school and adults are responsible for you, don't forget that!"

"You mean, I'm an irresponsible foster father!" Sirius responded, his voice rising.

"I mean, you have to know that you acted rashly, Sirius, and that's why Dumbledore asked you to stay at home, and—"

"If you like, we will ignore Dumbledore's orders and get out of here!" Sirius replied loudly.

"Arthur!" Mrs. Weasley turned to her husband, "Arthur, say something to me!"

Mr. Weasley did not speak immediately. He took off his glasses and wiped them slowly with his robe. When he carefully put his glasses back on the bridge of his nose, he finally answered.

"Dumbledore knows that things have changed, Molly. He accepts that within limits Harry must be exposed to some elements of the Phoenix Order, as he is now at the Phoenix Order headquarters."

"Yes, but there's a difference between that and allowing him to ask anything he wants to know!"

"Personally," Lupine finally looked away from Sirius and spoke calmly. Mrs. Weasley quickly turned her head to him, hoping that she could finally gain an ally, "I think it would be better to let Harry know the situation. Well, not the whole story, Molly, but let him know the general picture - and for us, it prevents other people from taking things out of context..."

His expression was mild, but Harry was sure that at least Lupine knew that some of the Ears had survived Mrs. Weasley's purge.

"Okay," Mrs. Weasley took a deep breath. She looked around the table for a seeker, but no one responded. "Okay... I understand that it's going to be rejected. All I have to say is: Dumbledore must have his reasons for not wanting Harry to know too much, and the person Harry is most interested in—"

"He is not your son," Sirius said calmly.

"He's like my son," Mrs. Weasley snapped back. "Who else is he?"

"He has me!"

"Yes," Mrs. Weasley's lips curled up. "The truth is, you can't take care of him while you're in Azkaban Prison, can you?"

Sirius started to stand up from his chair.

"Molly, you're not the only one here who cares about Harry," Lupine said sharply, "Sirius, sit down."

Mrs. Weasley's lower lip trembled. Sirius slowly sat back in his chair, his face pale.

"I think Harry has something to say," Lupine continued, "that he is old enough to make his own decisions."

"I want to know what's going on," Harry said immediately. He didn't look at Mrs. Weasley. He was touched that Mrs. Weasley regarded him as her own son, but he was also impatient with Mrs. Weasley's arrogance. Sirius was right, he was no longer a child.

"Very well," Mrs. Weasley said sharply, "Ginny - Ron - Hermione - Fred - George - I want you to get out of the kitchen right now." (To be continued)
