Chapter 644 The Game Begins
The school was already deserted. Yesterday, Harry could see Dumbledore and the others setting up a stand on the pier from a distance.
However, how do people live broadcast what happens underwater?
Perhaps it is through magic power. Fanlin said that he can judge his approximate location through his own magic power.
Can't see the best!
If I really turned into a fish, I would feel terrible just thinking about those blue-black scales.
However, gillweed doesn't seem to...
Harry quickly pushed away such strange thoughts.
Harry and Neville quickly walked through the corridors of the school. Everyone was already in the stands, but they, the contestants, did not enter.
This is really an unreliable arrangement.
Harry ran very fast, and soon there was a layer of sweat on Harry's body.
"You're here." Fan Lin looked at Harry from a distance, then looked at his watch.
"Fortunately, it starts in five minutes." Fan Lin said.
Harry nodded as he walked. It seemed that there was no time for him to change clothes. Harry took off his thick clothes as he walked.
Hermione cradled the clothes in her arms.
Harry suddenly envied Fanlin and, of course, Hermione. The two of them got along differently than he had ever seen before, and the two of them were dressed too warmly.
"Remember what I said, Harry. Eat the gillweed before you get into the water. Try to save your magic power. Those little water monsters will be some trouble. Also, remember, you have to get around the giant squid. Although It won't kill you, but it would be easy to treat you like one of those drowning people and just send you to shore."
"Okay!" Harry nodded, and the noisy sound became clearer as soon as he entered the venue.
Harry looked back at Hagrid's cabin. Hagrid had not come over. It seemed that Hagrid still couldn't face Mrs. Maxim.
"Here I come." Harry finally ran to the referee and said breathlessly.
"Where have you been? The game is about to start." The referee said dissatisfiedly. Harry saw Percy Weasley also sitting on the referee's bench. He had come to replace Mr. Crouch.
"Don't be nervous, Harry." Hermione said, "Believe in yourself, we have practiced it countless times before, and you will definitely be the first one to get out of the water."
"I know." Harry nodded, holding his arms with both hands. The weather here was really cold, and he couldn't imagine it without the Warming Charm.
"Relax."
Fan Lin placed one of his palms on Harry's shoulder, and a warm force was transmitted to him.
Harry knew all too well that this was what the Warming Charm did.
"You just need to go to the Mermaid Tribe and bring the treasure back."
"But, I still don't know what this treasure is," Harry said. "Professor McGonagall said it was my precious thing, but I checked and found that I didn't throw away anything."
"Don't you think there's something missing?" Fan Lin said quietly, but then the referee came over.
The game is about to start, and these referees are undoubtedly protecting the players and clearing the field. There are really too many people here.
"Everyone get out of here and go back to their places." The referee drove the little wizards away. Harry originally wanted to ask Fanlin and the others if they had seen Ron, but as always he didn't. Opportunity.
"It's okay, Harry." Bagmon forced out a smile, and anyone with a discerning eye could see that Harry was shaking because of nervousness, but Harry was just because of the cold.
"It's okay." Harry replied. He glanced at Fleur. He had to say that Fleur was still the same Fleur. The swimsuit was very beautiful, and she was also...
Fleur happened to look over, her charming smile... Harry felt a little dazzling.
Poor Davis, he was lucky enough to have a nice night with Fleur, and then nothing happened.
"Quiet..." Bagmon put his wand against his throat, "Wizards of the Three Witches Fighting Competition, please stand in your place."
All the contestants stood in a row, and Bagmon returned to the referee's seat after walking around among the contestants.
"Now, I declare that the game begins."
Following his whistle, Harry immediately took off his shoes and socks, took out the gillweed and stuffed it into his mouth, and walked into the water according to the previously planned route.
The other three people did not give in. Krum directly used a speed to increase his speed into the water. He didn't seem to want to fall behind. He was the first to enter the deep water area.
The same was true for Cedric and Fleur, but they each cast a head soaking spell before entering the water.
Harry didn't want to change it to anyone else. Fan Lin told him that Houttuynia cordata needed time to get used to, so walking in was naturally the best choice.
A biting coldness spread from the soles of my feet throughout my body. Harry had goosebumps all over his body, and he endured the cold and continued walking towards the water.
There was a burst of laughter from the shore, the audience was laughing at Harry for not using magic to enter the water like other contestants. Laughter and boos filled his ears. Suddenly, Harry felt as if his head was being held up by a pillow, his lungs seemed to be hollowed out, and there was a sharp pain on both sides of his neck.
He touched it with his hands and found that there were two slits under the ears, and fins slowly grew out of them.
He couldn't help but look for it in the water. Strangely, the water was not cold at all now. Harry took a bold breath, and the water flowed through the fish's gills smoothly.
Is this gillweed?
Harry looked at his hand in disbelief. His hand became flat, and there was a membrane between the fingers. The same goes for his legs, long and flat, like a fish's tail.
Harry tried to swim, which was much faster than his original speed.
Sure enough, there was nothing wrong with this thing. Putting aside his doubts, Harry continued to move deeper.
The bottom of the water was very quiet, and Harry could only see a ten-foot radius. Except for the fish swimming around, Harry could see no trace of anyone else. Suddenly, he felt his foot was entangled with something. Harry looked back and saw that it was a huge weed.
He struggled to free himself and swam away. "How's it going?" Harry looked around and found Myrtle right in front.
"Myrtle," Harry shouted, but no sound came out except bubbles coming from his mouth.
He forgot to use his magic power.
"I won't swim there with you, those weeds are too annoying." Myrtle said to herself, and then she swam away, and the sewer pipes of Hogwarts were connected to the black Lake, well, no wonder the water...
Harry didn't dare to continue thinking, he could only swim forward. (To be continued)
