Chapter 1647: Lost in Self

"Amitabha!"

The old monk's four-character Buddhist sayings came with mysterious sounds and wonderful sounds, and each word contained boundless Buddhist teachings.

"I dare to ask the ancient layman why he doesn't want to transcend himself. Do he really just want to be a secular mortal with seven emotions and six desires?"

Gu Qingfeng shrugged and responded without hesitation: "Of course."

"I dare to ask the ancient layman why he doesn't want to transcend himself. Do he really just want to be a secular mortal with seven emotions and six desires?"

The old monk asked the same question again, but this time Gu Qingfeng's tone was not so sure, and asked instead: "Isn't it difficult?"

"I dare to ask the ancient layman why he doesn't want to transcend himself. Do he really just want to be a secular mortal with seven emotions and six desires?"

The old monk asked the same question for the third time. This time Gu Qingfeng was not so sure, but hesitated for a long time before responding: "Maybe."

"I dare to ask the ancient layman why he doesn't want to transcend himself. Do he really just want to be a secular mortal with seven emotions and six desires?"

The old monk asked the same question for the fourth time. This time Gu Qingfeng was silent for a long time before shaking his head and saying, "I don't know."

"well!"

The sigh of the old monk came from the ethereal Mount Nirvana, saying: "Of course the ancient layman didn't know. If he had known, the ancient layman wouldn't be as confused in himself as he is now."

Yes.

Confused.

And he is still confused in himself.

To be precise, today's ancient Qingfeng is lost in itself.

To be precise, Gu Qingfeng no longer knows which one is the real me.

I don’t know when it started.

Perhaps after integrating into the original sin, or perhaps when he was searching for cause and effect, as he fell deeper and deeper into the road of original sin and cause and effect in the era of innocence, to this day, he no longer knows which one is his true self.

Is the true self the person of original sin? Or an unethical person? Or a worldly person?

He couldn't tell the difference.

In the beginning, when I started to search for cause and effect, although I had doubts in my heart, they were just doubts, and there was nothing else. I was able to recognize myself clearly.

But since merging with that drop of original sin blood, he has become increasingly unclear.

Until he ignited the fire of original sin karma in Wudao Mountain and slept for thousands of years. After waking up, he was completely confused in himself.

He often wondered whether he was no longer himself, but had become the body of original sin, but he didn't know it.

This body of original sin may not be an incarnation, but a dharma body.

He did feel this way, especially when Mandava said that after he ignited the original sin, he awakened the sleeping original sin. This feeling was even stronger.

Not only that.

Gu Qingfeng even suspected that after integrating into that drop of original sin blood, he might not be himself anymore, but the original sin body of Supreme Wudao.

Otherwise, how could he have formed inexplicable karma with so many people from the era of innocence.

What I have experienced over the years,

All made Gu Qingfeng doubt this.

"Old monk, do you think I am still the real me now?"

"I can't answer this question."

"Why."

"I don't know, no one knows. If there is anyone in this world who can answer this question, then this person is only the ancient layman himself."

"If I knew, I wouldn't ask you."

After a while, Gu Qingfeng said quietly: "Old monk, do you know? After the ancient catastrophe, I woke up in the secular world. I once encountered a great path ooze, and a great path seed was inexplicably integrated into my body."

"I clearly remember that the Dao Seed said something to me back then, saying that they had discovered it, knew about it, and were still looking for me."

"He also told me to be careful about the Posu people, the Kasyapa people, and the Maha people..."

"That Dao Seed also told me, be careful about cause and effect, and don't believe in cause and effect. It's their trap."

"He also told me to be careful about my past lives and not to believe in them."

"Not only that, that Dao Seed also told me to be careful about myself and not to believe in myself..."

"The Great Dao Seed says that as many causes and effects as I have, there are as many past lives as there are, and as many selves as there are past lives."

"It told me not to believe it, and not to believe anyone else."

"It also asked me to find it. It said it had me on its back..."

Gu Qingfeng closed his eyes, as if reminiscing, and then said: "Although it has been a long time, I still remember it clearly. Moreover, I asked you for advice back then. I ask you, what is the Posuo tribe? "What are the Kasyapa people and the Maha people? You don't know the answer."

"I also ask you, how many past lives can there be in the so-called cause and effect of past lives? How many past lives and how many selves do you mean?"

"You still don't know the answer."

"I wonder, old monk, do you still remember this?"

The old monk replied: "I remember."

"You didn't answer me back then, not because you didn't know, but because you didn't want to say it, right?"

"Indeed."

"Why?"

"The ancient lay people at that time knew nothing about the Wudao era and had never embarked on the path of seeking cause and effect. I did not want the ancient lay people to embark on this path, so I did not want to talk too much about the Wudao era."

"I knew nothing about Wudao back then, but it's different now. Not only have I embarked on this path, but I've already fallen into it and can't get out."

"I once advised Gu Jushi not to seek the cause and effect..."

"Come on, is it meaningful to say this now? Besides, was it because I sought the cause and effect that made me embark on this path? That's not the case at all, okay? I was born with original sin, and then all kinds of cause and effect followed one after another, which could not be stopped. In other words, I was a chess piece in the chess game of cause and effect since I was born. It doesn't matter whether I seek or not. Even if I don't seek, the cause and effect will come to me."

"Amitabha."

The old monk recited a Buddhist saying and said nothing more.

"Don't be in a hurry to recite Amitabha. Tell me what happened to the Posha people, Kasyapa, and Maha first?"

"Some things are not because I don't want to say them, but because I can't say them. I hope Gu Jushi will understand and don't force me."

"Why can't I say it?"

The old monk recited Amitabha again, obviously not wanting to answer Gu Qingfeng's question.

"Are these Possa, Kasyapa, and Maha the tribesmen of the Daoless Age? Is there some taboo? Or some saint or god of the Daoless Age?"

No matter what Gu Qingfeng said, the old monk remained silent.

It seems.

The old monk was determined not to answer this question.

Finally, Gu Qingfeng gave up and said, "Okay, if you don't say it, I won't force you, but...what is the so-called past and present lives, how many causes and effects, how many selves, how many original selves, how many true selves, what is going on, you can at least explain it to us."
