Chapter 700 Taoism and Buddhism Are Incompatible!
Monks in Buddhism, whether they are the sect that pursues indulgence of desires or the sect that insists on self-restraint, their essence ultimately belongs to the lineage of Buddhism.
The foundation of Buddhism's power is the two words "enlightenment" and "liberation".
Once you have some understanding, you can unlock the light of wisdom hidden deep in your heart.
The many magical powers possessed by Buddhism are also meant to stimulate and unlock one's own potential.
The so-called enlightenment means to truly understand;
To understand is to know without a doubt;
To be transparent is to penetrate without any hindrance.
Among them, the divine realm allows people to gain insight into the wonderful scenes between heaven and earth;
Clairvoyance enables people to have the ability to go beyond the range of ordinary human vision and see things that are inaccessible to the naked eye;
The Universal Principle of Heavenly Ear gives people the ability to hear distant sounds;
His mental understanding allows people to understand the inner thoughts of others;
Fate knowledge helps people understand the cause and effect of past and present lives;
The general principle of eliminating leakage means eliminating all troubles and karma and reaching an otherworldly state.
These six magical powers are all the highest achievements that Buddhist practitioners strive for.
Everything in the world is complicated, but for Buddhist disciples, all this is nothing more than a test of the mind.
The ultimate goal they pursue is to thoroughly understand the meaning of their own existence through constant thinking and perception, and finally reach the other side of the world.
The various magical powers and spells in Buddhism are all controlled by the mind and are unparalleled.
Therefore, the most important thing in Buddhism is the mind, whether it is the way of heaven or geography, they are just tools used to sharpen and verify the mind.
However, the set of ideas that Shen Xiao upholds are completely heresy.
Because he has deviated from the cornerstone of "enlightenment" in Buddhism, and is similar to the "Tao" and "Dharma" advocated by Taoism.
In the Taoist concept, everything in the world is under the rule of the Tao.
Only by clarifying the true meaning of the great road and knowing the secrets of the method can we achieve a state of freedom and immortality.
Naturally, Taoism believes that the use of supernatural powers should conform to the trajectory of the Tao, deeply understand the mysteries of the Tao, and skillfully apply it in practice.
Therefore, the real Taoist magic has always followed the principle of step-by-step, being impartial and neutral.
Visit the Tao and understand the Tao, understand the Eight Diagrams, understand the Five Elements, and know the wonderful principles. All kinds of magical powers are related to the Tao. After practicing, you can be integrated with the Tao and live a happy and eternal life.
The true fire of samadhi, the somersault cloud, and the seventy-two transformations are all like this.
This is such an absolute difference. Anyone who has practiced Buddhism will recognize at a glance that the humble monk is a complete heretic, and there is no other possibility.
Therefore, the abbot of Qianfo Temple directly mobilized all the monks in the temple to eliminate these scourges for Buddhism.
…
…
The sun shines on the mountain of the humble room, reflecting the tranquility and solemnity. The monks of the humble room began their day's homework, and they were taught how to strengthen their bodies by making zodiac signs in the playground.
Pilgrims also brought their own offerings and prayers to the humble room to worship the Buddha, ask for fortune-telling, and fulfill their wishes.
But this tranquility was soon broken, because thousands of monks from Qianfo Temple came like a tide. They were dressed in uniform blue monk robes, holding various sticks, and marched toward Hsoushu Mountain with great momentum.
The pilgrims on the road followed the monks of Qianfo Nunnery and immediately hurried up the mountain to spread the news. The monks of Qianfo Nunnery did not stop them because they came for justice, not to vandalize, destroy or rob.
However, when these monks arrived at the front of Humble Room Mountain, they were stunned by the sight in front of them.
I saw a solitary person standing in front of the mountain gate, but behind this person, there was an empty space. It was obvious that he had no intention of fighting, but wanted to negotiate.
Behind him, a large number of humble monks and Buddhist believers stood lazily, without any sense of tension in the battle.
The man standing alone in front of the mountain gate is the real founder of the humble house - the monk Shenxiao.
He was wearing an extremely simple monk's robe. The monk's robe had been washed and turned white, obviously after years of baptism.
His big, smooth head is particularly eye-catching. There is no ring scar on it and it looks extremely smooth.
A string of bright red Buddhist beads hangs around his neck, which is bright and eye-catching, forming a sharp contrast with his plain monk robe.
At this moment, he put one hand behind his back and raised the other hand slightly in a salute gesture, showing that he was handsome.
"stop!"
The abbot of Qianfo Temple, Huizhen raised his hand to signal everyone to stop. Huizhen understood that Shenxiao was preparing to debate the scriptures.
If he came simply to smash, smash, and rob, the monks from Qianfo Temple would definitely swarm him, but in front of so many believers, they must maintain their persona.
Otherwise, even if they kill the gods and the temple here,
But the humble monks will never be killed, and the pilgrims will never return to Qianfo Nunnery, which will only make the people hate Thousand Buddha Nunnery even more.
No matter how corrupted the gods and Buddhas are, they must maintain their persona on the surface, and some things must never be made public.
If it weren't for the world, there wouldn't be only immortal mounts and boys wreaking havoc everywhere in the world, but the gods and Buddhas would end up in person.
Since ancient times, China has attached great importance to being famous. Even if Qianfo Nunnery is more resentful because it was robbed of donations from many believers and philanthropists, on the surface, a sufficient and legitimate reason for the war must be found.
Huizhen, who had made up his mind, had an angry look on his face, pointed at Xiao righteously, and gave Xiao a big hat first: "Shen Xiao, how dare you spread Buddhism indiscriminately, tamper with Buddhist teachings wantonly, and misinterpret Buddhist classics. It’s really a heinous crime! I will definitely get rid of this scourge of you for my Buddhist sect today!”
Faced with Abbot Huizhen's rebuke, Monk Shenxiao smiled slightly, and his handsome face like a succubus was instantly filled with compassion.
He softly recited a Buddhist verse: "Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the first place, so where can the dust be caused..." As his voice slowly sounded, the surrounding atmosphere seemed to become more and more intense. His hair became serious.
The handsome succubus-like face was full of compassion, and he spoke a Buddhist verse,
"You, you~~~"
Huizhen's originally calm body began to tremble involuntarily. He slowly raised his hand, stretched out a slightly trembling finger, and pointed at Xiao tremblingly.
At this time, Huizhen's face was full of astonishment, her lips kept trembling but she could not make any sound. She seemed to want to say something to refute everything that happened in front of her, but in the end she found that she could not formulate effective words at all.
The meaning of the Buddha's verse is not profound and difficult to understand, and everyone present can understand it. However, the simpler the Buddha's verse, the more Zen ideas it contains.
What it expresses on the surface is: there is no bodhi tree in the world, and there is no so-called bright mirror; everything is illusory. It is originally a realm where the four elements are empty, so how can it be contaminated by dust?
However, at this moment, when interpreted from the perspective of gods, this Buddhist verse can actually be interpreted into another meaning:
As long as what you do conforms to the path of compassion, you can be called a Buddha even if you are a mortal.
Everyone is based on doing good deeds and accumulating virtue. They have already transcended the world and reached a state where the four elements are empty.
We are all Buddhas!
Why do we have to distinguish right from wrong between each other?
