Chapter 554: Make up a Maia Identity to Compete with Gandalf

Chapter 554: Make up a Maia identity to compete with Gandalf?

The story of the Lord of the Rings is very simple.

In the legendary Second Age of Middle-earth, the outstanding elf craftsman Celebrimbor, with the assistance of the Dark Lord Sauron, forged three elven rings, seven dwarf rings and nine human rings.

In addition, Sauron secretly had someone forge the supreme One Ring.

With the help of this ring, Sauron can be invisible and immortal.

What's more terrifying is that this ring can control the other 19 rings.

Sauron achieved his goal of controlling the whole world.

Later, the whole Middle-earth rose up in resistance.

After several battles, people finally realized that their attachment to the ring would only bring slavery and killing.

To gain freedom and peace, the ring must be destroyed.

So, after hesitation and struggle, nine warriors escorted the ring, went through hardships, climbed Mount Doom, and destroyed it in flames.

What is the ring? How were they created?

The history of the Rings is long and complex, and the role they play in the fate of Middle-earth is, quite literally, central to the story of The Lord of the Rings.

Here is a breakdown of the Rings, from the Rings of Men and Dwarves, to the Rings hidden by the Elves, and finally the One Ring that Sauron himself made for him.

The 19 Rings, also known as the Lesser Rings, were given by Sauron to the races of Middle-earth in the hope that their allure would overwhelm them and make them bend to his will.

Nine of the Rings were given to Men, and those who received them became virtually immortal, though their endless lives eventually became unbearable.

The Rings gave them visions of Sauron, and eventually, they fell before him.

These people became the Ringwraiths, known as the Nazgul; they were servants of Sauron, possessing incredible power but completely under his control.

Their leader, the Witch-king of Angmar, was Sauron's second-in-command.

Seven of the Lesser Rings were given to the Dwarves, and though the Dwarves were more resilient and hardier than Men, they did not succumb to Sauron.

However, the rings caused the dwarves to be greedy, causing them to collect a great deal of wealth, and the dwarf leaders who possessed the rings eventually fell into greed.

The most powerful of the seven rings was given to Durin III and eventually passed to Thrain II, who lost the ring when he was captured by Sauron disguised as a necromancer.

Thrain II's ring was taken away, but the curse of the ring never left the race.

It caused a "golden disease" in Durin's family, and Thorin, Thrain's son and King under the Mountain, was also infected with the disease.

The three rings worn by the elves, the last three small rings were created and owned by the elves, they were called Nenya, Naya and Veya, each of them was related to an element and had unique powers.

They were invisible to everyone except the one who possessed the One Ring.

Nenya was related to fire and had the ability to unite and inspire people, and to evoke hope in the face of despair.

It was given to Sildan, Lord of the Havens of Mythrond, who eventually gave it to Gandalf; Naya was held by Galadriel, and possessed the power of water, radiating brilliant light, and Sam once said that Galadriel seemed to have a star in her finger, although he could not see the ring itself.

It has the power to preserve and protect, and Galadriel used it to hide Lothlorien, an elven forest, from evil; Via, associated with the wind, was possessed by the Elven King Gil-galad and was the greatest of the three elven rings.

After Gil-galad's death, it passed to Elrond.

Via most likely has the power to heal and preserve, although it has never been explicitly stated.

The previous 19 rings were made with the help of the elves, while the final ring, "the One Ring that rules all the rings", was made by Sauron alone.

Possessing the power to control the other rings, the One Ring was made with some of Sauron's own power in order to make it more powerful.

Sauron's goal was to use the One Ring to influence and control the minds of those who possessed lesser One Rings.

It also has the same power as other rings, but to a greater extent.

The person who possesses this ring can also read the minds of other ring bearers and has the ability to become invisible.

Through chatting with Aragorn, I learned that he came to find me specifically.

The famous bounty hunter/ranger Chang Wei, whose reputation is known to everyone from the human kingdom to the elves.

He has a gorgeous and exotic beauty that is completely different from Middle-earth. It is rumored that he has killed various monsters. It is unknown whether it is true or not.

Aragorn, who has traveled with Chang Wei, knows that the rumors are not exaggerated at all. Chang Wei is such a fierce guy. His beauty is more handsome than that of an elf, and his powerful strength makes even Aragorn feel inferior.

The Elf Kingdom knows Chang Wei because the elves are all members of the Appearance Association. Chang Wei, who is famous in Middle-earth for his gorgeous beauty, will naturally attract their attention.

In Middle-earth, mercenaries, rangers and bounty hunters are actually different.

Mercenaries are a group of mercenaries who only know how to kill and burn. These people fight for money, without honor or mission.

Rangers claim to be pure, while bounty hunters do anything for money.

"Is this identity assigned to me to insert into the plot?"

Chang Wei understood.

"Chang Wei, I need your help, only you can help me."

Aragorn made a serious request to Chang Wei. He knew that Chang Wei was not the kind of bounty hunter who was greedy for money. With Chang Wei's strength, there were plenty of ways to make a lot of money, so he could only ask Chang Wei for the future of Middle-earth. Of course, there was still money.

Chang Wei looked at his equipment. He still wanted to be a noble wizard, not a warrior.

Thinking of this, how could he wrestle with Gandalf at that time?

Gandalf would definitely not be willing to wrestle with him, a crude and reckless man. Only a wizard could do it, or he could make up a Maia identity temporarily?

The Maia were Ainu born from the thoughts of Ilúvatar, but their strength and level were inferior to the Valar. They were their assistants and helped the Valar shape Arda.

The leaders of the Maia were Eonwë and Ilmarei, who were the heralds of Manwë and the maids of Varda respectively.

Although the number of Maia was extremely large, there were very few records.

Gandalf the Grey and Saruman the White are both members of the Maiar, but they are responsible for guarding Middle-earth as "Istar".

Istar is the messenger who helps the people of Middle-earth fight against Sauron. They have magical powers that ordinary people do not have, but living in a human body will limit their power, and they will feel hunger, pain and other emotions.
