Mei Zong’s Opening Fatal Turn

Chapter 4: The Wooden House

"Ah!" Jenny wailed when she heard that she had to walk through this rugged mountain road. "There are mosquitoes everywhere here. You will be bitten to death if you walk! Jay, why don't you call the towing company!"

"How about you turn me into a signal base station?" Jay raised his hands high, like two antennas. Seeing this, Jenny took out his mobile phone from his shorts, and it really showed no signal.

America is vast and sparsely populated, and telecommunications operations are completely market-oriented. It is impossible to take the initiative to build base stations in mountainous areas and forests where there are few people.

"Although the road is not easy to walk, there are only a dozen kilometers of mountain roads left. If we speed up, we can get out in two or three hours!"

Jay took the backpacks of several people from the car, thought about it, and took out a small first aid kit and a full metal baseball bat from the trunk compartment.

"Two or three hours? It's almost four o'clock, so we have to walk until dark?" Jenny glanced at her watch and kept spraying insect repellent on her body.

"Hoo! Hoo!" Jay swung the baseball bat vigorously, making several rapid wind sounds, showing his strong strength, "And if we can meet a deer, we can try an open-air camping and barbecue party in the wild!"

"Camping, barbecue party?" Jenny showed an interested look in her eyes, but she couldn't help but lose her temper when she saw the baseball bat in the other party's hand, "Just you? Forget it!"

Elena, who had been silent all the time, glanced at the lush cypress forest around her. Thinking that she might spend the night in such a place, she couldn't help but get goose bumps all over her body even in the hot summer.

"Let's go faster! This wild forest is not safe. If we meet wild boars or bears, we will be miserable!" The thin Rosen carried his backpack and was unwilling to spend the night in such a wild forest, which immediately attracted Elena's nod of agreement.

"Rosen, my brother, you are like a man!" Jay hugged Rosen, then turned his head to look at Levi who got out of the car, "Have you forgotten that we have a strong teammate who just retired from the special forces!"

"Oh! Li, you are so strong! How did you train your muscles!" He didn't feel it when he was sitting in the car, but when Jay, who was 1.8 meters tall and considered himself strong, stood in front of Levi, he was a whole circle thinner. Jay hammered the other's muscles like steel, his eyes full of envy.

"Li, camping in the mountains like this should be as easy as a vacation for you!" Jenny's eyes lit up when she heard the words, especially when she noticed the pistol on Levi's waist, the last bit of worry in her heart disappeared immediately.

"Okay, the car doors and windows are locked! Let's call a tow truck when we get down the mountain!" Jay rented this Land Rover with a credit card as collateral. If it is lost, he will have to pay a large sum of money.

This rugged mountain road was much harder to walk than they had imagined, and it seemed to have been abandoned for a long time. The mountain road was already covered with half-human-high weeds. After walking for two hours, the sun was about to set, and they had only walked five or six kilometers.

"Huh! Huh! It hurts so much!" Jenny, who was sweating all over, drank a few sips of pure water, and then hurriedly washed her legs covered with small wounds. These were all cuts made by weeds, mixed with sweat, and sent bursts of stinging pain. "Elena, accompany me to the bathroom!"

Although Jenny was careless, she was a college student who had received higher education after all, and she knew the reason not to go into the woods alone.

"Don't run too far!" Jay looked at the backs of Jenny and the others running into the woods, and said loudly, and then sat on the backpack to rest, panting.

"Jay! Come here!" But within a few seconds, Jenny's shout suddenly came from the woods. Jay heard it, worried that the other party was in danger, and quickly got up from the ground and rushed over with a baseball bat.

"Huh?" The three of them passed through the dense and lush bushes on the side of the path, and suddenly saw a wooden house, which was faintly located in the woods three or four hundred meters away.

"Wow!" Jay let out an excited cry, "A perfect camping holiday cabin!"

In the mountains of America, this kind of wooden house is not uncommon. Many middle-class people who are tired of the steel and concrete in the city will find a quiet mountain forest to build a wooden house for vacation.

Jenny and Elena's faces were also full of joy. Their physical strength was almost exhausted. Now they have a wooden house for them to rest, which is a very happy thing.

Levi's nose twitched slightly, and a strange look appeared in his eyes. With his sense of smell far superior to that of ordinary people, he smelled a very faint smell of human blood and corpses in the air around him!

And the bloody smell was relatively fresh, but mixed with the stench of corpses that had obviously been corrupted for a long time, which could only mean that more than one murder had occurred in this place!

But Levi was very calm in his heart. He had experienced too many killings and was too lazy to meddle in other people's business. But if someone was blind enough to provoke him, he would not mind harvesting lives and storing some energy!

"Hello! Is anyone there?" Several people ran to the wooden house, and saw an iron lock hanging on the wooden door. Jay reached out and patted the wooden door a few times.

"No one is inside!" Jenny walked to the window nearby and looked inside through the dusty and grimy glass, but she didn't see anyone in the dim wooden house.

"Okay! Sorry, I'll replace the lock for you!" Jay heard this and raised his baseball bat and hit it twice, and the iron lock core was directly broken and fell to the ground.

"Crack!" As the wooden door was pushed open, an unpleasant odor immediately hit us.

"Ugh! Oh my god, what's that smell! Is this a sewer explosion?" Jenny, who was the first to be hit, bent over and retched. When she saw the situation inside the house, her eyes widened and she murmured, "Or did someone open a slaughterhouse in the wooden house?"

"Ding Ding Ding!" The house was in a mess. In the middle of the house was a long wooden table covered with blood stains, and above the wooden table hung more than a dozen sharp blades of different lengths and sizes. As the wind outside the wooden house blew in, the sharp blades swayed and collided gently, making crisp sounds like wind chimes.

"Hey! Man, I think we should leave here!" Seeing Jay covering his mouth and nose and walking into the wooden house, Rosen behind him shouted hurriedly.

"Don't be nervous, Rosen!" Jay looked around the cabin and saw animal skull specimens hanging on the walls, including those of wolves and bears. "I guess this is just a hunter's cabin. How cool!"

"Crack!" But at this moment, the floor of the cabin was suddenly pushed open from bottom to top, and a short man holding a bloody knife walked out. When he saw the other person's face clearly, Jay, who prided himself on being brave, felt his heart stop beating!
