Chapter 194 Storm of Destruction: Arena
Albert Hart was sitting behind a table in a dull and gloomy windowless room. He was looking at the roster and competition form on the dark brown wooden table. Albert was the administrator of the "Blood Joy" arena. You know, the kind of administrator who never sees the sun and no one cares about.
The big shots were all up there. The owner of the arena was watching the fights with the dignitaries of Comoros. Albert could hear the cheers coming through the walls and the rock formations above his head. Those were the cheers of countless spectators for the wonderful fights.
And he could only sit here, in a ghost place where no one cared about, to deal with these things. This was Albert's job, to arrange the order, quota and arrangement of each fight, and of course, to cross out the names of those who died there.
Albert sighed and crossed out another name on the roster out of boredom. It seemed that more people died today than usual, and it seemed that he needed to replenish gladiators again.
"Looks like you're short of people, right?" A nightingale-like female voice said. Halbe raised her head and looked at the black-haired woman in front of her. She smiled at Halbe behind the table.
"Yes, the number of people who died today was a little beyond expectations. If no one participates in the next game, today will probably end in a hurry." Halbe sighed and waved his hand helplessly, "The audience won't like it, and the VIPs won't like it either."
"Then you're lucky today, arrange for me and my sister to play in the next game." The black-haired woman said, pointing her finger at the woman behind her. She was a lovely silver-haired girl, as beautiful as her sister, with one white and one black hair color, which really looked like perfect sisters.
Albert looked at the black-haired woman in front of him, who smiled and put her hands on her hips and looked at Albert, "What are you looking at? The game doesn't wait for anyone. I heard that the game is about to end."
"You are very beautiful." "Thank you." The black-haired woman said with a smile, and Albert sneered and picked up the pen, "So I hope you can be so "beautiful" when you die. Your names."
"Melissa and Lilith." The black-haired woman said, and Halber picked up the pen and wrote the new names under a pile of red crosses. After he finished writing, he raised his head and pointed to the corridor on the side with the pen.
"Go and get ready. You are lucky. The next gladiator to go on the field died. Although I think you should die soon, I hope you can hold on long enough, at least let the audience watch for a while, so that I can adjust the arrangements."
The black-haired woman smiled and reached out to touch the silver sword on her waist, "I'll try my best. Let's go, Lily." She said and walked to the corridor on the side. Her twin sister also walked in together, and at the door, she also threw a wink to Halber, and then licked her lips?
Was she hungry or something? Forget it. This was not something he should care about. Halbe lowered his head and continued to deal with his roster.
Lilith walked briskly with her hands behind her back in the dim corridor. There were purple-red torches burning here. There were countless thorn iron fences on the wall on one side. Outside was the arena. Shouts and cheers entered the corridor and echoed along the wall.
"Melis? Whose name is that? Another woman you have dated?" "My mother's name." Vito responded briefly.
Lilith snorted softly, stood on tiptoe with her hands behind her back and looked at the arena outside, like a lively little girl. "So why are we here?"
"The dark elves like fighting. It is a kind of national sport. They can have fun watching the fights and get the essence of the soul in the painful death." Vito said as he walked in the corridor. The strange light outside the iron window shone in from outside the fence, cut into several sections and shone on Vito's side face.
He walked along the corridor, his black hair swaying from side to side on his shoulders. "Marles also likes to watch fights, especially the most intense and exciting ones. She will never miss them. So let's make a name for ourselves here, and she will come back to find us."
The cheers outside the window rang out again. Lilith looked up with her hands behind her back. "How did you get to know this Marles?" "What's wrong? Are you jealous?" "I'm asking you."
Vito stopped at the end of the corridor, in front of a door leading to the arena. Vito walked to the iron window next to the black iron door and looked at the scene. Dust flew up in front of him, and cheers came into the preparation room one after another.
"The first time I met Marles, she was going to assassinate me. I forgot why." Vito said, and Lilith looked at him with her hands on her slender waist, "Then what?"
"Then we started fighting, and then we fought to the bed, you know, just like the first time I met you." Vito said with a smile, and Lilith rolled her eyes and sighed helplessly.
Forget it, I have long been accustomed to Vito's philandering, but he really has a wide range of objects.
"What are you looking at? Your next bed partner?" Lilith said as she leaned forward, and Vito leaned on the bed to make room for her. Vito pointed to the center of the arena.
It was a female Eldar fighter, holding a slender sword, tall and slender, but the most striking feature was that her hair was tied up in a strange high-legged bun, and the silver hair flew with her movements.
She killed her opponent with her agility, and her movements were as graceful as a dance, which was very enjoyable.
"She is not a Dark Eldar, but a warrior of the Ark tribe." Vito said, looking at the woman, "A war dancer from Beltan. It's really interesting that an Ark Eldar would appear here."
Vito said, watching the silver-haired woman approaching with a sword in hand. The entrance door of the arena opened amid the cheers of the crowd. Vito watched her walk in from outside. The woman and Vito briefly exchanged glances, then ignored Vito's greeting and walked into the depths of the arena.
Vito smiled at her, then walked out of the door. Lilith followed him into the central battlefield of the arena. Vito stood on the battlefield and looked around at the packed audience. They cheered loudly and demanded the next round of blood and killing.
Not bad, there were quite a lot of spectators, which met Vito's requirements very well. He looked up at the host standing on the floating disc above the arena. The man held a microphone made of a skull and spoke passionately.
"Dear audience! These two beautiful ladies are Melissa and Lilith. They are new here, but it looks like they are going to die here today because their opponent is!"
The host raised his hand and shouted to the other side. As the host spoke, the door on the other side of the arena slowly opened, "Chariot Master Angevar. Luke!"
Amid the thunderous cheers of the audience, a steel chariot was pulled out by a warhorse with flames in its eyes. In the chariot stood a male gladiator. He was strong and burly, holding a sharp crescent sword.
"Angevar! Angevar!" The audience shouted excitedly, and the host continued to create an atmosphere, "Angevar has won nine championships in a row, but it looks like he will win the tenth championship soon. How can these two weak women be the opponents of the powerful Angevar?!"
The audience continued to cheer, and Angevar himself raised his sword to accept the cheers, looking like he was sure of victory. Vito looked at him and smiled, then took off his coat and threw it to Lilith.
Vito stood on the battlefield wearing a thin shirt that could not contain his chest at all. He raised his finger to Angwa in a provocative and seductive gesture. Seeing this, Angwa shouted and whipped his horse to gallop over with a sword in hand.
"Dear sister, do you want it?" Lilith stood aside and looked at Vito and asked. The latter waved her finger, "Just watch."
The warhorse pulled the carriage and drove quickly. The wheels equipped with razors turned rapidly on the ground. The warhorse neighed and rushed over with hooves in the dust, like an unstoppable storm of destruction.
Vito stood there and looked at the chariot with a calm face, looking at Angwa on it. He was holding a sword and spinning and waving to kill, and the audience responded with thunderous cheers.
Vito patted his trouser legs, then gently pulled out the dagger from his belt. He weighed the dagger and turned it a few times before looking up at Angwa. The carriage he was driving was heading straight for Vito. Lilith looked at the chariot and turned to look at Vito.
The latter threw up the dagger, then grabbed it and threw it out violently. His body swayed slightly forward on the spot. The dagger pierced the warhorse's eyes like a flash of lightning. The neighing warhorse instantly fell forward, and the chariot it was dragging also hit the warhorse and fell to the ground.
Angwa was thrown out, and he hit the ground heavily after the chariot overturned, raising a large amount of dust. Angwa propped himself up and raised his head to try to stand up, and then he saw Vito in the dust, who had never moved.
He looked at Angarwa with contempt and smiled, "Weak? Interesting." Vito said, and instantly drew out his long sword and swung it violently. Angarwa's body fell to the ground with a bang, and Vito held his head before it hit the ground.
Vito raised Angarwa's head, and the scene suddenly fell silent. The host and the audience looked at Vito in surprise, looking at Angarwa's head in his hand.
"If you want to see a real fight, then arrange a fight that will allow me to fight for a minute before my next performance." Vito said, and threw Angarwa's head out casually, and the head rolled on the ground for several circles.
Vito turned and walked towards the entrance of the arena. When he passed by Lilith, he said easily, "Let's go, sister, let these trash look at the sand."
Lilith followed Vito, and she followed Vito into the gate, then turned her head slightly to listen to the thunderous cheers outside.
Lilith put her hands on her hips and looked at everything outside the door. She smiled and said, "It seems that you have satisfied them, sister."
"Of course." Vito smiled and took the coat and put it on, and walked into the depths of the arena amid cheers.
