Chapter 868: The 0 Buddha Cave of Turpan Travel Notes!
In addition to the natural scenery in the canyon!
In addition, there is a cultural landscape worth visiting!
That is Tuyugou Thousand Buddha Caves!
Tuyugou Qianfo Cave is located in the middle of the canyon. It was excavated in the period of the two Jins and Sixteen Kingdoms. It is one of the three famous Buddhist grottoes in Xinjiang.
Zhao Feng and his party walked to the section of the Thousand Buddha Caves, and were immediately attracted by the caves carved out of the cliffs on both sides of the canyon!
Among these caves, there are not many caves with intact Buddha statues!
But it can still be seen that the treasures above the Buddha statues are solemn!
Later, I saw a sign not far in front. The introduction above made everyone know more about these caves!
It turned out that during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the Tuyugou Grottoes were one of the important places of Buddhism operated by the supreme ruling group of the Gaochang Kingdom.
In the Tang Dynasty, the Buddhist caves on both sides of the Tuyugou Grand Canyon had further developed, and the Buddhist mural art condensed in each cave had also developed to a new stage. According to the Tang Dynasty document "Xizhou Tujing" unearthed at the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, the Tuyu Valley was a fairyland on earth. "Xizhou Tujing" has the following description: "In Tuyugou, there are many monasteries spread out along with the mountains. They are backed by the dangerous peaks, facing Qingxi River, surrounded by green trees. Floating, fireworks are constantly, wandering monks gather, people walk in the deep valleys, it is hard to see the sun and the moon.”
However, compared with the "Xizhou Tujing", the Tuyugou now has only broken walls and ruins, and it has long lived up to its grand occasion!
It has a history of more than 1,700 years since the excavation of the Thousand Buddha Caves in Tuyugou, which has gone through two stages of man-made damage and natural collapse. There are 94 caves, and the only surviving murals are the eight remaining in Cave No. 46!
The surviving grotto murals still show people the style of ancient civilization, attracting the attention of experts and scholars who study Buddhist history and Buddhist art from all over the world today. Historical basis and physical data have immeasurable historical and artistic value.
The Thousand-Buddha Cave in Tuyugou was called "Dinggu Temple" in ancient times. The earliest caves appeared in the Jin and Sixteen Kingdoms periods. When the Juqu family was king (AD 443-450), it was the most prosperous period of Buddhism in Tuyugou.
Due to imperialist plunder and man-made destruction, more than 90% of Tuyugou murals have been destroyed. Today, only 8 caves still have a few murals with inscriptions in Uighur script. Among them, in Caves 1, 2, 3, and 4, the Buddha sits on the Hu bed, which is the only one seen in the whole country. Some Buddhist scriptures have also been unearthed here.
Go through these caves!
But all the people of a country can't avoid heartache!
In the era of the last century, many national treasures were plundered abroad by greedy foreigners, and many were even destroyed by those foreigners, and more of them disappeared in the collections of foreigners!
It would be great if the system could legally bring back those Chinese treasures plundered by foreign countries!
Zhao Feng couldn't help but think about it!
But for the system, this should also be a difficult thing!
Everyone continued to move forward, and when they approached Nangukou, a yellow ancient building appeared in front of everyone!
This ancient building is a relatively famous ancient religious relic in the canyon.
The full name is Eshab Kehaf Mazar, which is said to have a history of more than 1,300 years.
Tuyugou Okamuzha, it is said that the missionaries of the CCP were the first to come to China to preach, and after going through hardships, they finally came to Tuyugou.
With the help of the local shepherd with the dog, Ye Mu Naiha and other 6 people stayed here for a long time to continue their mission. Later, Ye Mu Naiha and other 6 people and the first Chinese (shepherd) who believed in Buddhism died and were buried in a cave, which is now Tuyugou Mazha.
This ruin is weathered!
Still standing on this vast land, perhaps they and the Thousand Buddha Caves in the canyon have also been looted by imperialism, but now they still silently announce the cultural traces that once existed on this land. !
The last stop in Tuyugou is an ancient village!
An ancient and peaceful Uyghur village located in the valley of the South Exit of the Grand Canyon, with a history of more than 1,700 years, is the oldest existing Uyghur village in Xinjiang so far.
When everyone arrived at the village along the exit of the canyon!
It is found that there are still many people living in this village. It is distributed around the Great Mosque where the Green Pagoda stands, and there are about 200 households. This village has completely preserved the ancient Uyghur traditions and folk customs. People often work at sunrise and sunset, communicate in the ancient Uyghur language, wear the most ethnic costumes, and visit relatives and friends in a classical donkey cart.
Zhao Feng, Liu Ruoxin, and Liu Yuhong met many people in the village, whether they were old people, young people or children, their faces were always filled with calm, self-sufficient, and happy expressions, giving people a simple, leisurely, and uncontested look. good impression.
In the ancient village, the residents have inherited the traditional custom of building houses with yellow clay for more than 2,000 years. Some buildings still bear the imprint of the fusion of Buddhist culture and Buddhism culture. The houses are all kiln houses made of yellow clay. There are large and small, high and low; some have one storey, and some have more than two storeys; some are independent houses, and some are connected along the mountain. Its characteristics are economical, warm in winter and cool in summer.
When Zhao Feng and his party left the canyon by car!
The impression left by the Tuyugou Gorge on Zhao Feng and his party has not been erased for a long time!
Whether it is the Thousand Buddha Caves in Tuyugou or the Okamu Bazaar, they have all experienced the hardships of history, but history is not the murderer who destroyed them!
But human greed destroys them!
Everyone's heart is heavy now!
. . . . . .
When I came out of the canyon, it was already more than five o'clock, and it was close to six o'clock!
But at this moment, the sun is still hanging high in the air outside the window!
In Northern Xinjiang, the sun sets every day at nine or even ten o'clock in the evening!
Therefore, the work and rest time of the northern province may be somewhat different from that of some eastern provinces!
After nearly an hour's drive, the convoy finally arrived in Turpan.
The city of Turpan still has a deep impression on Zhao Feng, because Zhao Feng learned a text called Turpan in elementary school!
It describes the enthusiasm of the Turpan people, as well as some specialties!
Zhao Feng still remembers the feeling of yearning for Turpan at the beginning. After all, children like to eat raisins!
Although it is still early, it is still necessary to find a hotel, so everyone stays at the Mercure Hotel. There is a park with a very good environment in front of this hotel. If you want to see the lake and water, this hotel is definitely the first choice!
