Chapter 1010 Three-Dimensional Reconstruction of the KJ-2000 Platform
During the month when Chang Haonan was busy with the establishment of the QC300 project, Torch Group was also dealing with the aftermath of the Numerical Algorithms and Computational Science Conference.
First of all, of course, three different versions of TORCH Multiphysics 2.0 software were officially released.
In addition to the professional version and professional upgrade version that were already available, Torch Group also launched the "pre-sale" of the Sugon version of the software in advance at the strong request of many users.
That is, the version bundled with Sugon 3000T.
In fact, when Chang Haonan announced the Sugon version at the opening ceremony of the conference, he didn't think that many people would actually buy it.
After all, although Sugon 3000T is a compact supercomputer, it is still a behemoth with 10 cabinets and a weight of 5 tons.
For most small and medium-sized users, as well as foreign users, it is not convenient to purchase such a set of things.
In addition, as the first supercomputer in China that truly reaches the international mainstream level, it has very strict performance requirements for components. At the same time, as the leader of the current domestic semiconductor industry, Sugon Group needs to increase the localization rate of its products as much as possible.
High performance means high production difficulty.
For the domestic semiconductor industry, which has just started, even if it uses the same imported equipment and raw materials as others, the yield rate is still not optimistic.
As a result, after the localization rate has increased, the cost has not only not dropped, but has increased.
Of course, this problem is still secondary.
After all, Torch Group's products have never been based on cost-effectiveness, and the core user group does not care much about the price issue.
The key is the delivery cycle.
In the Sugon 1000 era, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics accidentally set off a wave of colleges and universities purchasing supercomputers and servers.
However, at that time, the mainstream was still mainly imported foreign products, and Sugon Group only got some benefits.
Even so, it still helped Sugon Group, which had been suffering from huge losses for years, to turn losses into profits.
Avoiding being sold to Dream Group was secondary. More importantly, it was the first time to open up a complete loop of product development-market launch-earning revenue-continued investment in product development.
In the Sugon 2000 era, due to the influence of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the West-East Gas Transmission Project, this trend was inherited by many central enterprises in monopoly industries.
In this process, Sugon Group also accumulated a considerable number of users.
As a result, before the Sugon 3000 series supercomputer project passed the acceptance, more than 30 users, including Torch Group and Aviation Power Group, had placed orders for more than 50 units.
It has not been delivered yet.
Therefore, the delivery time of Sugon 2000T ordered now will be scheduled to the end of the year at the earliest.
For many users, this cycle seems a bit too long.
Taking these factors into consideration, Chang Haonan initially planned to release only two versions, Pro and Pro plus.
As for the Sugon version, he would wait until the end of the year when it could be delivered.
However, the situation was far beyond his expectations.
In fact, with the increasingly close exchanges between China and Western countries in recent years, even the Pro plus version, which was previously only available to some domestic units, has gradually been opened to foreign partners with sufficient specifications, such as Kompas, Tupolev, Snecma and Dassault.
But even so, there are still many users who cannot obtain Pro plus permissions or are discouraged by its outrageous price and have shown great interest in the Sugon version -
Although the Sugon version is sold in a bundle, the Sugon 3000T itself is a supercomputer with performance ranking among the top 100 in the world, and the software is equivalent to a gift, so it is not a loss at all.
It is even more cost-effective than buying a Sugon 3000 alone.
Before the end of the two-day Algorithm and Computational Science Conference, the number of users who came to inquire about this version and clearly expressed their intention to order was close to three digits...
In the end, Chang Haonan, who could not bear the excessive enthusiasm, had to open the reservation channel in advance and promised to deliver the products in the scheduled order from the end of the year.
Compared with the group of peers who sold cars at the press conference before rebirth, the only difference is the policy of "50,000 deposits to offset 100,000 advance payments".
However, Chang Haonan is facing too many orders and is worried that he cannot deliver all the orders, so he has no motivation in this regard.
In short, when Chang Haonan saw Academician Li of Sugon Group one day in early April after the conference, he had no doubt that if the age difference between the two was not so big, the latter could perform a "Jie has been wandering for half his life, only regretting that he has not met a wise master..." on the spot.
In addition to the release of the new version of the software, another thing is the Numerical Computation-Graphic Modeling Alliance jointly established by Torch Group, Dassault Systemes, and Kompas.
In the past, TORCH Multiphysics also supported direct import of models from various mainstream formats of modeling software.
However, those who have experienced the wild period of the software industry in the early 21st century know it.
Compatibility does not mean easy to use.
Especially after Torch Group upgraded their mesh generation technology many times, some old 3D models have successively shown serious "incompatibility".
So much so that before the mesh is automatically generated, the model building nodes need to be specially adjusted.
However.
After the formation of this software alliance, the three companies will completely open interfaces to each other to achieve maximum data compatibility.
In fact, this has been implemented in the new version of TORCH Multiphysics.
For users, there is no change in the performance of the software itself.
But it has doubled the user experience and work efficiency.
The first project to benefit from this software alliance is exactly what Chang Haonan has been thinking about——
Air Police 2000…
…
Almost at the same time the QC300 project review meeting was held.
Jinling.
A conference room in the 14th Institute of Electrical Engineering.
A technical discussion on the Air Police 2000 design plan is being held.
It was said to be a technical seminar, but not many people attended.
There were less than 10 people sitting on both sides of the long conference table.
On one side is Academician Wang Xiaomo, the chief scientist of the National Early Warning Detection Project and the general manager of the Air Police 2000 project, and two other leaders from the General Armament Department and the Air Force Equipment Department.
Opposite the three of them were Guo Lin, who had been promoted to deputy director of the 14th Institute and director of the Antenna and Microwave Department and chief designer of the radar system, five other heads of key subsystems, and an empty seat.
This seat originally belonged to Liang Shaoxiu, who was seconded to Haofei Group as the chief engineer of the platform.
He stood behind the desk from the beginning of the meeting, and then never found time to sit down and rest again...
The reason for all this has to go back to Liang Shaoxiu’s first sentence after the opening:
"Dear leaders, our platform design team has successfully completed the three-dimensional reconstruction of the C909 carrier aircraft itself and the disc-shaped radome, and has separately calculated the carrier aircraft and the plan for installing the radome on the carrier aircraft... "
Originally, this was just a monthly technical meeting.
But as soon as this sentence came out, the nature was completely different.
"Comrade Shaoxiu, I remember... during the meeting last month, you said that this work would take about 4-6 months to complete?"
Wang Xiaomo and Guo Lin have seen this kind of situation where progress suddenly becomes very fast.
But after all, it is Liang Shaoxiu and not Chang Haonan who is standing on the stage today...
So it was indeed a huge surprise.
"The situation last month... was indeed like that."
The reason why Liang Shaoxiu chose to reveal this news during the meeting was because he was influenced by Chang Haonan. At this time, he finally experienced the pleasure of "shocking his colleagues for a whole year":
"Because the modeling and calculation workload of the radome is not large, the focus is still on the aircraft."
"Actually, we have received aircraft design data transferred to us from Hufei Group before. However, these data all came from Tupolev. Although the annotations have been translated into Chinese, the file format is not fully compatible with the CATIA we used in the past. , so it was expected to take several months to correct the format.”
"And importing CATIA models into numerical calculation programs requires about the same amount of proofreading and modification work... Compared with these two processes, CFD and CSD calculations take up less time."
"But after we actually started working, we found that solving the compatibility problem was not as difficult as we expected, so we released the results ahead of schedule..."
This explanation made several people sitting below not sure how to evaluate it.
After a while, Wang Xiaomo waved his hand and signaled Liang Shaoxiu to continue.
The latter didn't talk nonsense and continued to refer to Chang Haonan's habits.
Let’s start with the big conclusion:
"Judging from the results, after the C909 passenger aircraft platform has raised the vertical tail and installed two tail fins, it is still difficult to carry the ellipsoidal radome with a diameter of 10.5 meters and a thickness of 1.9 meters in the planned plan 3."
"When the radome is set 2.8 meters away from the fuselage, the degree of downwash airflow generated by the wing will increase, resulting in a reduction in the angle of attack of the horizontal tail relative to the actual airflow, and a reduction in the lift generated by the horizontal tail. The maximum effective lift coefficient of the aircraft will be reduced to 1.107..."
When he said this, the air in the entire conference room almost froze.
The 14th Institute of Electrical Engineering has preset three radar plans for the Air Police 2000, with diameters of 10.5 meters, 9 meters and 8 meters respectively.
Although after changing the three-sided array to a double-sided array, the array area that can be accommodated by the same radome has increased by about 30%, but no one will find the antenna size too large, especially when the packaging technology is relatively backward.
Therefore, the project team still regarded the 10.5-meter radome as a priority solution.
And if the calculation results prove that it is not feasible, then there is a high probability that the next best option will be made.
However, Liang Shaoxiu did not worry everyone for too long.
After a brief pause, he immediately changed the subject:
"However, we tried to adjust the shape of the radome so that it could generate some lift while keeping the cross-sectional area unchanged, and then conducted a new test..."
As he spoke, he clicked the mouse, and the cross-section of the radome on the curtain immediately turned into an ellipsoid with a slightly flatter bottom:
"After lift compensation, the influence of the radome on the maximum lift coefficient of the entire aircraft is reduced, only from 1.193 in the clean configuration to 1.178, which fully meets the design requirements!"
