Chapter 770 Ivan: Be cautious...be Sure to Be Cautious!
After bidding farewell to Hermione, Ivan, Harry, and Ron returned to the dormitory together.
As soon as he opened the door to the dormitory, Ivan saw Seamus and Neville gathered around the table by the window, staring at the large package placed there.
"What's wrong? Seamus?" Ivan stepped forward and asked casually.
"An owl just sent a package. It's strange. There's no name on it. I don't know who it's for." Seamo replied.
Ivan looked at the things placed on the table and frowned. Thinking of Snape's reminder in Potions class, he vaguely felt something was wrong.
"We're all here now, wouldn't you know who it's addressed to if you just open it?" Ron was very curious, so he squeezed past Seamus who was blocking the place, and carelessly reached out to grab it.
Ivan was distracted for a moment and had no time to remind him. He just held the wand on his waist in his hand, ready to rescue at any time.
The package was opened easily by Ron.
The explosions and curses that Ivan expected did not happen, and no terrifying and ferocious dark creatures jumped out of the package—it contained a large bag of candy!
Sizzling bees, chocolate frogs, Bibi multi-flavored beans...
"There is actually the latest licorice wand." Ron said in surprise as he took out a box of brown wand-shaped candies from the package.
He had seen it at the Bee Duke Candy Shop in Hogsmeade last year. The price of this new licorice wand was not cheap.
Seamus and Neville were also picking and choosing their favorite candies.
Ivan had no interest in candies, so he saw the notes mixed in among the many candy boxes at a glance and took them directly.
After unfolding it and seeing the contents inside, Ivan was stunned for a moment.
"Be careful... Snape?" Harry leaned closer and read the contents of the note.
"What are you talking about, Harry? Could this package be from Snape?" Ron joked.
"I mean, this note says [Beware of Snape]!" Harry explained.
Ron and Seamus were both surprised. When Ivan saw this, he handed over the note in his hand.
After reading the rumor, everyone speculated who sent these candies and notes, and why they were told to be careful about Snape.
"Harry, could it be a package sent by Sirius?" Ron suddenly asked.
"Impossible. If it had been sent by Sirius, he would have written his name on it." Harry shook his head.
Now that Sirius has been cleared of charges, there is no need to hide it anymore. You can just send it to him directly. Why make it so mysterious.
"Maybe he wants to give you a surprise! Who else could it be besides him?" Ron shrugged.
In the third grade, Sirius gave Harry and Ivan a Firebolt without signing his name, which was extremely generous.
Moreover, Sirius and Snape had a deep conflict, and they almost had a fight in the safe house before, so there was a motive for writing this note.
Hearing what Ron said, Harry also became a little uncertain.
There's no way someone could send them so many candies for no reason, right?
Such a large package costs dozens of galleons at least.
Ivan directly ruled out Sirius's option because he suspected that the person who sent the package was unkind and might even have poisoned it.
Seamus, the only one who was idle, did not participate in the discussion. While listening to several people talking, he opened a piece of chocolate frog and planned to put it in his mouth.
"Don't eat it, Simo!" Ivan was startled, and subconsciously snatched the chocolate frog from Simo's hand, threw it to the ground, and waved his wand neatly.
"incendio!"
A wisp of flame flew out and then exploded, burning the chocolate frog jumping high into ashes.
Then, without any relaxation, Ivan waved his wand to summon a stream of water to clean his left hand that had touched the chocolate frog, and finally looked at the system status bar.
Fortunately...fortunately, I didn't get hit!
Ivan breathed a sigh of relief and felt that he had been too cautious just now. He should have destroyed everything as soon as he discovered something was wrong with the package.
What if this chocolate frog or that note happened to be cursed...
Ivan thought about Dumbledore's blackened right hand and shuddered suddenly.
Be cautious...be sure to be cautious!
Ivan reminded himself secretly, but when he turned his head, he found Simo looking at him in confusion.
Harry, Ron and Neville on the side also looked at them very strangely.
"Ahem, I think this thing may have been sent by a mysterious person or a Death Eater." Ivan coughed twice, covering up the embarrassment rising in his heart, and continued calmly without changing his expression.
"Don't forget that the mysterious man has always wanted to murder Harry. He didn't succeed in the cemetery last school year. He might try some poisoning methods in private."
Ivan did not speak out Snape's warning, but threw the blame on Harry's head.
After all, he couldn't explain why Voldemort targeted him so deliberately.
It's hard to say that I beat Voldemort two months ago, so the other person hates me so much now that he can do anything, right?
"Are you mistaken, Ivan?"
Listening to Ivan's explanation, Seamus' mouth twitched. The mysterious man sent Harry a large bag of candy and poisoned it?
This is so nonsense...
Harry didn't quite believe it. If the person who sent the package was planning to poison them, why would he specifically remind them to be careful about Snape?
"That might be a way to confuse us, but it's better to be careful," Ivan said forcefully, then decisively waved his wand to gather the scattered candies back into the package, and then burned everything to ashes.
Harry and Seamus looked at each other, speechless. They strongly suspected that Ivan was suffering from persecutory delusions.
Ron stared at the ashes blown away by the wind on the table, and couldn't help but feel a pity that he didn't have time to eat any of so many snacks.
"If you want to eat, I'll go to Honeydukes store and buy some for you tomorrow..." How could Ivan not see Ron's thoughts? He shook his head helplessly.
But soon Ivan suddenly thought of another question.
What if the owner of Honeydukes falls under the Imperius Curse?
The other party deliberately sent a large bag of candies. Could it be that he wanted to lure me there to look for clues?
Ivan suddenly fell into deep thought, and finally decided to be more cautious tomorrow, pretend to go to the Honey Candy Shop, and then apparate from Hogsmeade Village to Knockturn Alley to buy some. That should be fine...
Thinking of this, Ivan breathed a sigh of relief and looked down at the note floating in mid-air.
Snape had just reminded himself to be careful in Hogwarts this morning and not to eat randomly. Then someone sent him a package and specifically told him to be careful with Snape...
This is really... interesting!
