The federal unique political and military system allows the military's actions to be controlled by the president. To put it simply, before the military conducts military operations, it must notify the president in accordance with procedures.

If the president of the federation is satisfied with the military action plan proposed by the military, then he signs it and the military can start taking action.

But if he is not satisfied and does not sign, then the military will have to shelve the plan, even if they have made a lot of preliminary preparations for the entire plan before that.

This approach is to keep the military aloof from politics and yet subject to the constraints of a temporary national leader.

The president will be replaced every four or eight years. For the military and the president, whether it is four years or eight years, it is actually only a short period of time.

During this period, no one can change anything, and they form a closed-loop binding force with Congress and the bipartisan committees!

Bipartisan committees control presidential nominations and they elect the president.

Congress controls the impeachment of the president, and when the president becomes more and more inappropriate, they can immediately replace him with a new president.

The president restrains the power of the military and prevents them from expanding without limit. He is also the only individual in the federation who can restrain the military!

Not even the Ministry of Defense can do this!

Regardless of whether the military has a sense of existence or not, as long as they exist, they will have a positive deterrent effect on the entire federal political system and social ecology!

Anyone who wants to try a coup or anything under the armed control of the military is kidding!

No matter what they want to do or what they want to do, they must follow the established rules.

Such a closed loop of mutual constraints can make people feel at ease. Of course, above this system, there is actually a hidden force that does not have much sense of existence, but is extremely destructive.

That is capital!

Of course, what people are discussing in the conference room now is not capital, and it has nothing to do with capital.

The report in Mr. Trueman's hand was not long. He read it in a short time, and then after a long period of thinking, he agreed to the plan.

He signed his name on the last separate authorization letter in the report, which also means that the military can make military deployments and arrangements according to their ideas.

After leaving the conference room, Mr. Trueman did not go back to sleep, now that he was less sleepy.

He went to the study and called Peleus. Peleus was not sleeping at this time. He was discussing the battle plan with others.

Peleus was very happy when he received a call from Mr. Trueman. They were old friends for many years, and their relationship was much closer than that of him and Lynch.

So Mr. Trueman didn’t waste time on false greetings from the beginning, “Isn’t the military the one who saved Gevra?”

From the plan just now and the attitude of the military, he could actually feel that the military was not very interested in saving Gaevra.

They talked a lot of nonsense and in the end only supported 350 fighters and 100 bombers. This obviously did not take the situation on Gevra's side seriously.

After hearing this, Peleus couldn't help laughing. He laughed for a while, breathed a sigh of relief, and asked a question, "Why should we save them?"

Mr. Trueman subconsciously replied, "If we can divert the attention of the Pengeo military group on the Amelia battlefield, the pressure we will bear will be much less."

This is a standard answer, and it is also the unanimous view since the outbreak of the war.

Peleus didn't think so, "They have attracted a lot of attention to us. The Pengeos let their vassals overwhelm the main force, but has the situation changed?"

"Nagalil is still Nagaril. They still occupy the eastern region and are unwilling to leave, let alone go to Amelia."

"So from the beginning, we had the wrong view of the situation and missed a lot of opportunities."

"And now, even without Gaevra, we will not be afraid of the Pengeo Military Group!"

Mr. Trueman obviously still has a different view, "If we don't reach out, once Gefra fails to launch Amelia, this nail will be useless."

"So, is it possible that Amelia's two to three million troops will be transferred to Nagaril?"

"Once we have to deal with millions of enemies in Nagaril, I don't think we can chat as easily as we do now!"

He means that once the situation deteriorates rapidly, Peleus may go to the front line to command the battle.

Peleus was a little surprised, "I know, but you ignored another problem, we won't let them in!"

"If you read our plan, you will understand that once the operation starts, we will soon be able to solve the current problems and change the location of the main battlefield according to our decision."

"So Gefra is no longer of much value to us. What we have to do now is to make all preparations as soon as possible to implement this plan!"

"In addition, our sea fortress will be launched in a while, and you may want to pay a visit then..."

After the Gefra Navy decided to build a sea fortress, the Federal Navy also placed two orders.

Nowadays, the Gefra people are very talkative. If you ask them for parameters or technology, as long as it is not top secret, they will give it to you generously, and at worst, they will reveal some content.

These things are enough for Schepp Industries to quickly complete the design of the Federation's first-generation sea fortress and produce it.

In fact, for the Navy, it doesn't matter whether it has this thing or not. The Midway Island plan allows the Federation to spread dozens of outposts across the Eastern Ocean.

These outposts have all the facilities to provide aircraft take-off and landing supplies. They are stronger and more reliable than sea fortresses.

But as far as the battle itself is concerned, maybe there are two ships. At least the aircraft taking off on it will act on the battlefield faster than the aircraft taking off from the island chain, providing protection and attack for the fleet.

Mr. Trueman nodded and agreed, "Tell me the time and I will go."

"But I still hope you can consider whether there will be any unpredictable dangers and impacts if we give up Gaevra!"

"This is war. We cannot rely on empiricism or simple guessing to judge future development trends."

"We must be prepared for the possibility of failure. At least this will make it less painful and miserable when we face real failure!"

Peleus seriously considered this suggestion, "I will mention it to them and do some deductions about Gefra's defeat. I will tell you any further news."

"Don't worry too much about these problems, we are invincible!"

After hanging up the phone, Mr. Trueman sat on a chair and lit another cigarette.

Outside the boundary between light and darkness, he looked at the phone that had been hung up.

The life assistant brought some more pastries, but he didn't move, just thinking.

He didn't know what decision to make at this time, because what Peleus said made sense.

Whether or not Gaevra is saved actually has little impact on the current overall situation.

When Gefra's fleet was scattered by Penteo's fleet and frightened, they lost their last bit of use value.

If they were still the invincible Armada, saving them would be very helpful for the military's next plan, but their spines would have been broken long ago.

Before Pengeo's fleet could advance, their fleet returned to the main island and defended the offshore waters of the main island. The frightened Gevra was no longer noticed by the military.

On the contrary, the military, which kept getting good news, saw clearly the true face of Penjieo. They were indeed very clever, but as long as they could withstand their initial crazy attack, there was actually no big gap between them and the Federation!

Especially on the defensive end!

Federal military leaders now believe that Pengeo is very strong on the offensive end, and their rapid alternating layer-by-layer advancement will put tremendous pressure on the defense.

But on the defensive end, they are almost as bad as the Federation!

No, at least it's better than the Gaevra people, so it's average!

The military saw the hope of victory, and it was without the Gefra people, so why did they care about the lives of the Gefra people?

Mr. Trueman is not just a soldier now, he is the President of the Federation and a politician. His perspective and method of looking at problems are no longer the same as those of the generals.

He wanted to find someone to talk to, but for a moment he didn't know who to talk to.

He thought about Lynch. Calling Lynch in the middle of the night was not a good choice.

He sighed and ate two pieces of pastry. The tiredness returned to his body after losing the external stimulation.

He stretched and went back to sleep.

But at this time, the battle in Amelia is far from over!

It's bright, but it's already past seven o'clock, which is very different from the summer when it gets bright at four or five o'clock.

Although the intensity of the firefight on the battlefield was not as intense as yesterday, continuous gunshots could still be heard.

Pengeo's army advanced some distance, and the defensive team of Gevra could only continue to make concessions.

Fortunately, they followed the advice of the federal officers, and the soldiers who had entered the mountains immediately began to set up fire positions, ready to respond and face the next battle.

The battle situation was very tragic, and this kind of encirclement and annihilation war put the greatest pressure on the soldiers!

From their perspective, everything except the back is full of people!

In addition, many fighter jets were shot down, and the situation became very clear.

The commander-in-chief of the Amelia War Zone has been wiping his own gun, which was a gun awarded to him by the former imperial emperor.

It was a very exquisite piece of royal craftsmanship, specially made by a military industrial enterprise just to please the emperor, but the emperor gave it to him.

He cherishes it very much and takes it out every day to maintain it. He uses deerskin to wipe the non-existent dust on it, cleans the chamber of the gun that has not been fired, and does not forget to apply a little gun oil.

He is ready to die in the line of duty anytime and anywhere. In his opinion, this battle is a dead end!
