1764 Leak

At midnight, at one-thirty, the last employee finished processing the document in his hand, put it in a drawer, checked the window, turned off the light, and left the office.

This is a text file processing office. Some people call it the "graffiti office", while others call it the "shredding room."

The latter title sounds a bit scary!

Its work is actually not scary at all, it can even be a bit boring!

The federal government handles a lot of documents every day, some of which are confidential.

There are five levels of federal confidentiality. At the lowest level, most government officials can apply to read it, and there will be a rough directory here.

For example, when people look up certain cases or events, a confidential document number will be mentioned, and they can just apply to read this numbered document.

At the penultimate level, there is a declassification list, and only those on these lists can request to read the documents.

If it is not on this list, the administrator will refuse to borrow it on the grounds of "Sorry sir, your level is not enough".

By the time it reaches the third level, the content of confidential documents will change dramatically.

Some of the keywords will be blacked out, and even if someone can get the document number from someone knowledgeable, the application will still be approved.

They also cannot read all the content. Most of the content is blacked out, leaving only some simple content that is allowed to be known.

When reaching the fourth level, confidential documents will be blackened and sent to the federation's largest archives located in a secret base.

In addition to the confidentiality level and file number, the upper left corner of their archives also has a confidentiality start time and end time.

Generally, it is from ten to one hundred years, but the "unblocking" here does not mean that everyone can read this document after that time.

Someone also needs to know its number before they can apply and get approval before they can read it.

Most of the time, the so-called "unbanned" objects here refer to the serving federal president, minister of defense, and military generals!

Rather than something...ordinary people!

This level is often called "top secret"!

But in fact, there is a level of confidentiality above this, which is not known to too many people, and many documents are not even sealed.

Instead, it is shredded directly after use, and there will be no record on the document such as "So-and-so sent the document with such-and-such number to the office."

It's like they never existed except for the people who saw it!

And the staff will send a large amount of paper filled with irrelevant content into the shredder together with the original, and then be burned and landfilled by dedicated personnel.

There are many similar agencies in the federation. This is the confidentiality office of the presidential palace, which handles documents that need to be kept confidential every day.

Before the staff left, they also brought out the shredder files processed today.

A large pile of shredded paper was wrapped in a soft metal mesh with the latest explosion-proof locks.

This kind of lock does not have a key. It will be sent to the incinerator together with the metal mesh and all scraps of paper. After it is burned to ashes, the lock and everything else will be put into a small box and buried.

Each lock has a code. By tracing such code locks, the person who specifically handled the file can be traced——

If a leak occurs, as long as you find this number and compare it with the registration form of the confidentiality office, you will know who handled it, and then you can try to find the reason for the leak.

It was already midnight, but the presidential palace was still brightly lit and many people were working.

In fact, the Presidential Palace is not so busy at ordinary times. Only during the war does it seem so lively!

The security officer passed the security check and left the office, then threw the metal mesh bag into a car inside the presidential palace.

The incinerator is not here, it used to be.

The incinerator, which emitted black smoke and posed a fire risk, was later moved to another location nearby, about ten minutes away.

The document bag was thrown into the car, and the staff knocked on the car window, causing the sleeping driver to wake up from his sleep.

He rubbed his hair, glanced at his watch, and then saw the staff outside the car door.

As was his daily routine, he started the car, registered it at the doorman, and drove away.

He must reach the location of the incinerator within a specified time, and security agencies oversee the entire process.

The route was about thirteen minutes long and if he hadn't arrived in more than fifteen minutes a security investigation would be initiated.

This is an institutional statement. In fact, no one has seriously handled these tasks for a long time.

The Federation has always been so quiet and peaceful, and there have been no tense wars.

There is no need for these in political struggles. In addition, no problems have occurred in decades, and no one is interested in a bag of waste paper. Everyone has become a little numb.

Today's driver seemed a little nervous.

It's also possible that the heater in the car is turned up too high.

He had been sweating since he woke up.

Taking advantage of the red light, he took out a small bottle of wine from the passenger's toolbox and took two sips.

He arrived at the place as agreed, registered, signed, and drove the car into the parking lot.

He took out a metal mesh bag from the carriage, registered it, and handed it to the staff.

Then it was thrown directly into the incinerator. When the staff next to it twisted the gas valve, the flame exploded in an instant and even rushed out of the incinerator!

The first time he worked, he was startled by this group of people, but now he is used to it.

The flames shoot out from the narrow aperture, giving people a sense of warmth in the cold spring.

Very quickly, no more than 20 seconds at most, the staff turned down the valve, poked with tongs to make sure there were no surviving pieces of paper, and then took out the iron mesh bag.

It was still intact, but burned red, and so was the lock.

After confirming that there was nothing inside and no residue in the incinerator, they signed again.

The lock and wire mesh bag were put into a small box and it would be "buried".

This is also what the system says. The previous processing method was... relatively crude. Now it will be placed in a reliable and safe place instead of being buried in the ground.

After the driver signed, he drove his work vehicle and left. He would just drive directly to the Presidential Palace tomorrow morning.

The car parked in his garage and he returned to bed.

The wife woke up from her sleep, muttered a few words, turned around and snored slightly again.

He lay on the bed, eyes wide open.

He couldn't sleep.

Some are nervous, some are excited, and some are anxious.

At three o'clock in the evening, a dark figure appeared in the garage. He opened the door of the car, groped inside for a while, and found an iron mesh bag.

Soon, he disappeared into the darkness.

Early the next morning, the driver got up extra early, and his wife was a little surprised that he was so early.

The man comes home very late every day during this period, and he always doesn't get up until after nine o'clock in the morning.

His work is very leisurely. There is basically no work to do in the morning, so he can go to work a little later.

But his wife didn't ask anything, because she knew that no matter what she asked, her husband would respond by saying "Shut up, this is a fucking state secret, not something you should know"!

Their relationship is not very good, like most middle-aged couples.

Sex, attitude towards life, fatigue, and various circumstances have made them not love each other as passionately as they did when they were young.

After the man finished breakfast, he returned to the garage. He glanced into the car, breathed a sigh of relief, and became much more relaxed.

He likes to play cards.

This may be a common hobby of most people who have relatively free work. They always have to find something to kill their time.

At first he played cards with familiar people, such as colleagues.

But soon he became dissatisfied with trivial wins and losses, and he wanted to play bigger.

His colleagues were not very interested in his proposal, so he found a place by himself and had a great time.

Anyone who gambles should be able to feel the pleasure of changing from playing for entertainment, to winning and losing, to finally just for the quickening heartbeat in the moment before winning or losing is revealed!

Gambling is like eating contraband. Contraband hurts the human body. Gambling hurts money, but sometimes it can also hurt the body or even life.

His luck was not very good and he lost a lot of money during this period, but everyone saw that he had a stable job and the salary was not low, so they were willing to continue playing with him.

You owe it first, but you have to calculate the interest!

There are many people who do financial business in casinos, and he owes a principal of about 50,000 yuan, which generates interest every day.

And this interest will be rolled into the principal and enter the next cycle.

He didn't know exactly how much he owed. He remembered it was 50,000, but those people told him that he owed almost 100,000. When he wanted to borrow money once!

This amount of money made him panic, because he found that he seemed to be unable to make up the money!

What's even worse is that if his colleagues find out, he will probably lose his job!

Because there is this article in the discipline manual, staff are prohibited from participating in various forms of gambling games, just to prevent them from being taken advantage of.

Just when he didn't know what to do, someone suddenly expressed his willingness to help him pay back the money.

But every once in a while, he had to hand them over a shredded file that needed to be broken up.

He once thought about reporting this matter, but in the end he did not do so.

He knew very well that even if they didn't fire him for the time being, they would eventually fire him.

The fact that he can come into contact with such people means that he himself has become unsafe.

An insecure person should not be put in an important job!

After much deliberation, he agreed to the other party's request...
