Chapter 1163
The dignified and solemn atmosphere lasted for a long time, and the entire Lingshan Mountain felt the coercion of destroying heaven and earth.
The Eighteen Arhats didn't dare to pant loudly, let alone look at the Buddha's face, for fear that the Buddha would be angry and hurt everyone.
They wondered anxiously, what would the Buddha do?
Unexpectedly, after a while, the Buddha let out a sigh of relief, and said in a loud voice: "The world has misunderstood the poor monk."
He raised his eyes and looked in the direction of Datang. There were thousands of people there, and they had a great misunderstanding of Buddha.
These misunderstandings can actually be avoided, because they are all meaningless.
The Buddha thought for a while, and then explained: "Do you know what the poor monk calls himself?"
What does the Tathagata Buddha call himself, and he claims to be the Tathagata with all wisdom.
Deserving of offerings, correct and omniscient, full of knowledge and conduct, good at death, understanding of the world, unsurpassed teacher, commanding husband, teacher of heaven and man, Buddha, World Honored One.
These ten titles are said to be the common names of all Buddhas in Buddhism, and these ten titles show the wisdom, virtue and ability of Buddhahood.
Becoming a Buddha is the fruit of proof, wisdom and virtue are boundless, and praise is endless.
The Buddha classified the immeasurable and boundless wisdom and virtues on the fruit ground into ten categories, and expressed them with these ten titles.
"All Wisdom Accomplished" is another name of the Buddha, and all wisdom has been achieved.
Because many people say it is a Buddha, which Buddha is the biggest? Tathagata is the biggest. This is all a wrong concept. After reading too many novels, Monkey King cannot jump out of the palm of the Tathagata Buddha.
Every Buddha is called Tathagata, so Tathagata is a common name.
How to say "Tathagata"? The simplest way of saying it is that the present Buddha is like the old Buddha coming back again, so it is called Tathagata. Buddhas, Buddhas and Taos are the same. After becoming a Buddha, everything is equal and exactly the same.
Bodhisattvas are not necessarily the same as Bodhisattvas, they are not exactly the same, Buddhas are exactly the same, so it is said that the present Buddha is like the ancient Buddha coming again.
The meaning should be a little deeper. There is an explanation in the Diamond Sutra, "The Tathagata, all dharmas are as righteous." This explanation is good.
All dharmas are righteous, what is this Ru? Such is true nature.
All dharmas correspond to the true nature, which is called Tathagata, and this meaning is very, very perfect, from a theoretical point of view.
Talking about the return of the ancient Buddha is practical; there are many other meanings, so we will omit them. "Should be offered", offering is offering.
Buddha is among all people, the true, ultimate and perfect good man, the ultimate perfect man with great wisdom and great virtue and ability. He is our good example and good teacher. He should accept our offerings;
Therefore, it should be offered, and it should accept the offerings of humans and heaven.
The third common sign is "positive and omniscient". Knowledge is omniscient, universal, there is nothing he does not know. Not only omniscient, but rightly omniscient, there is nothing wrong with what he knows.
Are there any mistakes in all the scriptures taught by the Buddha? If there are mistakes, they will probably be changed by later generations according to their own ideas, and then mistakes will be made.
In fact, Buddha is omniscient and omnipotent. Who is the Buddha? The Buddha is our own true nature, and our own true nature is truly omniscient and omnipotent.
Because all the void and all dharma realms are manifested by the nature of mind, how can it not know, how can it not be able to? So this is a very reasonable statement.
If our own xinxing is fully revealed and displayed, we will truly know the past and future of the entire universe, and this is not false.
Clarity and conduct are sufficient, footing is consummation, clarity represents wisdom, and practice represents learning; both are consummated, which is to say in terms of Buddhism, the cultivation of nature is consummated.
Ming is the prajna wisdom of self-nature, and virtue; action is the cultivation of virtue.
When there is no consummation, it is called a Bodhisattva, and when it is consummated, it is called a Buddha. It can also be regarded as the completion of understanding and practice, understanding is understanding, practice is practice, and the completion of understanding and practice.
"Supplied", this sentence is the "non-dwelling nirvana" often mentioned in the Mahayana scriptures.
Abiding Nirvana is indeed sugata, why? His kindness does not stop at birth and death, and does not stop at Nirvana. This is called goodness.
It is not good for ordinary people to live in birth and death; it is not good for reincarnation after death.
The second vehicle lives in Nirvana, and it is not good, and it falls into the pit of inaction, which does not work. The Buddha and the great Bodhisattva are good, and they do not live on both sides of life, death, and Nirvana. This is what is truly called goodness.
Can't live in Nirvana, so he incarnates according to the class, what body should he be saved in, and what body he should appear in.
Unceasing life and death, although saving all living beings, even though manifesting all kinds of bodies, saving all living beings, being spotless, clean in the heart, doing without doing, doing without doing; Not leaving traces, this is life and death.
You should know that to live and die is to live in Nirvana, and to live in Nirvana is to live in birth and death.
He does not live on both sides, and both sides are harmonious, which is really called the great nirvana, which is the great nirvana on the Tathagata.
"Resolution of the world", in the world, the smaller scale is the six realms, and the larger one is the ten dharma realms, and the bigger one is that beyond the mundane, it will fill the void and cover the dharma realms. The Buddha knows it all, and there is nothing he does not understand, so it is called For the world solution.
"Supreme scholar", scholar, now people talk about intellectuals, but in ancient times they talked about scholars, who read well. Among the scholars, there is no one who is taller or superior than him. Among the intellectuals today, he has reached the pinnacle, and there is no one who is higher than him.
"Tune Yu Husband", this name is established from his skillful method of teaching all living beings. Buddha has wisdom, ability, and skill. He can tame the minds of all living beings and help them stop evil and cultivate goodness. This is like controlling.
'Husband', the so-called big husband, the meaning of the big husband is exactly the same as the meaning of the hero. He can do what other people can't do, which is called a real man.
He is a regulating husband, able to reconcile sentient beings in the Nine Dharma Realms, help them realize their enlightenment, help them get rid of afflictions, help them overcome life and death, leave the Three Realms, and become Buddhas and patriarchs. Buddhas have this ability.
This is built on virtue. "Teacher of heaven and man", the teacher is the teacher. All the heavens, including one heaven and one human being, include the six realms and the ten dharma realms. He is the example and model of all sentient beings in the six realms and all sentient beings in the ten dharma realms.
Everyone knows and understands the word "Buddha". It is transliterated from Indian Sanskrit. It means enlightenment, which includes self-awareness, awareness of others; self-awareness, helping others to awaken, and the realization of enlightenment.
Just seeking self-awareness and not helping others is Hinayana, Arhat. Awakening yourself and helping others to do so is a bodhisattva. If one realizes and perceives that he has reached Consummation, then he is called a Buddha, which means Buddha.
Consummation, how do you count as consummation? The Bodhisattva said that he can achieve consummation with self-awareness. This is because he realizes that there are still many sentient beings who have not been saved. How can he achieve consummation?
This consummation, you must understand that the Bodhisattva feels that he is still helping himself to awaken.
Buddha is the greatest saint in the universe. He has immeasurable blessings, immeasurable supernatural powers, and is the one who is at ease.
The Buddha is the great teacher of the Nine Realms, the teacher of man and heaven. It doesn't matter what, what kind of power you hold, there is a god who governs the sky and the earth.
