Summary and Remarks of Volume 6
(Post a comment!! Select the chapter comment and click Post!)
The sixth volume is a volume that constantly fills in the gaps.
It is easy to dig a gap, but difficult to fill it, and this has been the case since ancient times.
Especially since this is a novel that already has 3.4 million words... (3.4 million words!!!)
Even though I have a fairly detailed set of settings, I have to go back and read the previous chapters frequently, for fear that I will eat the settings.
The Human Demon Line, the Qingpai Line, the Tianliu Line, the Official Road, the Equal Country, the Fate Astrology, the Three Ultimates of the Flying Sword, the Forest Source Realm...
The intricate foreshadowings are mentioned one by one, and the gaps are filled one by one, which has become this volume that readers call "Rising to the West" most of the time.
This volume is too difficult to write!
I still think it is too difficult to write when I go back and read it now.
But the biggest problem in writing this volume is not the difficulty of writing. I personally am very happy to challenge the difficulty of writing. This kind of thing will make me realize again and again that I can be better and I have more possibilities.
I am willing to dig it out and share it with you who have come together.
But I am beginning to get tired.
There is a period of fatigue in writing.
I still feel fresh about the story, but my body and mind are still thirsty for life.
People are not machines after all, and writing is not a repetitive work in an assembly line. You can't get results by sweating.
It requires full commitment.
Especially for writers like me.
I don't know if it's because I spent too much time writing the volume of "The Hard Road to Travel" and gave myself too many chicken blood.
During this period of June and July, I felt so tired every day.
I forced myself to sit in front of the computer and sit for a whole day.
I used to be able to easily enter the writing state, forget myself, and describe that world with emotion. But during this period, I might write for ten minutes and then exit from that state.
There will be many distracting thoughts in my mind, and I will have no time to think about it. I can even be in a daze for an hour or so.
I know that readers need more updates while ensuring quality... but I can't do it.
For example, the chapter of killing Zhao Xuanyang in the dark is just over 2,000 words, but it's more than 1,000 chapters.
For example, the chapter about the immortal opening his eyes and picking the red heart magic power is also just over 2,000 words, more than 800 chapters.
The enthusiasm of readers in discussing shows, to a certain extent, that the quality of the story is good.
But such a climax must be 4,6,800 or even 10,000 words, so that it can be considered satisfying and win more readers...
But I can't do it.
I sit all day. Like squeezing toothpaste, I squeeze out a few emotional moments in the dull sitting to complete the story...
It's really too tiring.
I was just a salted fish who wrote 5,000 to 6,000 words a week at first, and I had enough hobbies to fill all my free time.
Now I have no hobbies.
I have to revise every chapter, and revise it will use up a lot of words. When I posted 4,000 words, I actually wrote 5,000 to 6,000 words, and when I posted 6,000 words, I actually wrote 8,000 words.
The extra words were all lost in revise.
So I can actually say... I am a 6k Japanese expert, right? Although you often don't see so many words.
I'm not complaining when I say this.
I am trying to relieve myself.
I am forgiving myself.
I have tried very hard, writing every day, and my life has been compressed to a fist - so why can't I bear the slander of this work?
Because everything I have is given here.
Apart from it, what else do I have left?
You see, my thoughts are beginning to diverge again. Before it turns into a daze, let me summarize the writing of this volume.
My biggest regret in this volume is that Jiang Wang went from being a national pride to a criminal prisoner who colluded with the devil overnight. I really wanted to write about the overwhelming public opinion, but I just skipped it in the end.
In my original conception, it must be very profound and very depressing. When the sincere heart was finally proved, the sincere heart appeared more "immortal".
In the end, it was indeed suppressed for a long time, but in fact it didn't reach the point I wanted, so I stopped. There are my own reasons and the readers' reasons.
Forget it. Perfection is just a coincidence, and regret is a common thing in life.
There is another chapter that I think is not well written, which is the part where Xiao Jiang and the two gods come back to China. I am too lazy to look up the specific chapter name. I just write a thank you note. What I want is to write from my heart, so I don’t have to be so serious and hard.
When I wrote that part, I was still hesitant. What I can be sure of is that I should reasonably establish trust between colleagues in that section, so that the part about Jiang Wang going abroad will be logical. What I hesitated about was whether to reveal a little bit to let readers know that these people are not talking nonsense and give readers a sense of expectation.
Because it is difficult to update but I have to update, I wrote it before I thought it through.
This kind of hesitation without thinking it through made me waver when I wrote, wanting to touch but not touching... I was very uncomfortable writing. I felt that the part that could be written brilliantly was finally mediocre.
This kind of silence is not very comfortable.
If I can have a draft, not too much, just four or five chapters, then I can adjust the details, or even start over. But I didn’t have it at that time.
A plot that I was happier to write was after Jiang Wangbei left the bamboo forest.
After a series of depression, I used this relatively free plot to unfold the grassland scenery, soothe the rhythm of the story, and also soothe the emotions...my emotions and the readers' emotions.
I felt relaxed during those days.
Of course, I am happiest now.
I successfully filled in many holes, and then I had a holiday.
When I was writing this volume, I kept telling myself that I would fill in the holes well and perfectly... Then I filled in while walking, and before I knew it, I finished this volume.
Now sitting here, I vaguely think of it, and there are still many dazzling pictures in my mind,
When the immortal opened his eyes, when he was the first in history, when the sky was tilted to the sea of swords, when Guan Yan and Xiao Fan looked at each other in silence, and the last battle of Xingyueyuan...
I felt a sense of satisfaction.
It seemed that I was also at the general's platform, feeling the joy of victory with the East Region Tianjiao.
In the process of writing, the sense of pain and happiness always exist at the same time.
When I got 10,000 subscriptions, I said that I would let everyone see my update performance, and I would definitely try my best to do what I promised.
In order to adjust my mental state, I bought a treadmill and got up at 7 o'clock every morning to run, then take a shower, make breakfast, and then write. Apart from cooking and eating, I write, usually until 10:30 pm. Sometimes I can finish at around 9 pm, and I will be very happy, hug a watermelon, and find a movie to watch.
Because I often go to bed at 2 or 3 pm, it was difficult to get up in the morning at first. After the alarm rang, my head was still dizzy, so I closed my eyes and stretched on the bed... and then I got up with gritted teeth.
Later, I woke up very naturally every morning, which forced me to go to bed earlier at night. So my state has become very good, and everyone can feel it.
This state of burning both body and mind gave me a sense of fulfillment. I seemed to have returned to the time when I was 18 or 19 years old, full of endless curiosity and enthusiasm for the world.
That feeling is really good.
Until I accidentally stayed up all night...
That day I wrote until the clock struck the hour, and it was already 10 o'clock when I woke up the next day. And until now, my alarm clock at 7:30 in the morning has never woken me up again. (On this morning when I have finished writing this volume, there is an exception! %¥##x-on:x-on:¥!!!)
It seems that I can't go back to the age of 18. I was easily knocked down by staying up all night.
In order to stick to my promise to work hard and write hard this month, I had to take time out of the afternoon to run.
These days, I started to conceive the plot while running, with my phone next to me. When I got inspiration, I slowed down and took out my phone to write it down.
I feel that I have made good use of time and become the master of time... I am very happy.
What am I talking about? This speech is too casual, right?
Then be more serious.
I have said this many times, but I still want to say--
I love you.
I don't know how long I will write, but during the years when I am still writing, I feel your practical company.
After writing the article "The Clean Cannot Clean Themselves", I felt the power of readers almost everywhere. Of course, it was mainly on Qidian. I read the chapter and the posts in the book friends circle until three o'clock in the middle of the night.
People have been telling me that you are good, your heart is good, please continue to believe in yourself.
It was a quiet early morning. I opened the curtains and sat on the balcony for a while.
I am a person who is good at describing, but I can't accurately describe my mood at that time.
At this point, I suddenly feel that there is no need to say more. I will stop here.
Thank you for giving me strength.
Rest for three and a half days, and start a new volume on August 25th.
I already have pictures in my mind about many plots in the second volume, which are very exciting, but the detailed outline has not been started, the theme has not been decided, and the title of the volume has not been decided... Let's wait until August 24th to do it!
Let me take a break and have a good sleep.
Then we will continue our journey.
After writing this sentence, I am actually sleepy.
So good afternoon, my dear book friends.
May we enjoy peace.
Thanks to the book friend "Liang Jiu, the little fan of Yunduan", for becoming the leader of this book! How many is it? I will count next time...
