Chapter 188 The Resurrected Mummy (Modified)

When Alan removed the mummy's golden mask, the ancient Egyptian nobleman who had been sleeping for an unknown number of years finally revealed his true colors.

The mummy was tightly wrapped, and the skin on the face was cracked and black, like a piece of shriveled leather.

His eye sockets were filled with black resin, and his nostrils were stuffed with cloth rolls.

The biggest focus on his face is the mouth full of buck teeth, which reminds Allen of the teeth that cannot be aligned neatly on the stone statue outside the door.

A sour smell entered Alan's nose.

A smell of rot, of old rot, of death.

Allen couldn't help holding his breath.

Nancy, on the other hand, felt dizzy and could hardly keep her balance.

Her legs gave way and she fell to the ground.

Allen hurried to her side and fed her the antidote he had stored.

"Ugh—it's so bad! What did you drink for me?" The taste was so amazing that Nancy couldn't help retching a few times.

"Although it's hard to drink, it can save your life!" Allen also handed the remaining potion to Nancy. The bottle was clutched tightly in the palm of his hand.

Then, Nancy suddenly widened her eyes, showing a look of astonishment.

Allen turned around quickly, and at some point, Ron picked up the mummy's mask and put it on his face.

"Ron, don't touch these things! It was just taken off the body!" Allen was completely convinced, what a reckless Gryffindor! Just as naughty as his twin brother.

Ron's wand slipped from his hand to the ground, and his whole body trembled. "Ron, what's wrong with you?" Alan sensed something was wrong, and rushed up quickly, trying to take off the mask on Ron's face.

However, the mask seemed to be firmly on Ron's face, no matter how hard Allen tried, he couldn't take it off. Ron stopped trembling, and said in a very eerie voice, "Tetru-Tetki-Kree-Khala!"

"What are you talking about?" As soon as the words came out, Allen realized what Ron was reading! Resurrection spell on the door! Nancy suddenly let out a terrified scream.

Allen heard slow, dragging footsteps behind him, he quickly turned around, and saw the mummy in the golden coffin walking towards him stiffly and staggeringly.

Its hollow, resin-coated, tarred eyes looked straight at Alan, and grinned grimly at Alan and Ron.

tap... tap...

The whole tomb could only hear the sound of the mummy's feet dragging and dragging. Slowly, he raised his arms and made a terrible clicking sound. Allen raised his wand, trying to tear the mummy apart! But a pair of hands gripped his throat tightly. Out of the corner of his eye, Allen caught a glimpse of the corner of the golden mask flashing by his ear.

It was Ron!

Allen's wand also fell to the ground. He wanted to use his hands to push the hand off his neck, but Ron's strength was unexpectedly strong.

All of a sudden, Allen couldn't get rid of it!

The ugly and terrifying mummy is getting closer and closer to Allen.

Suddenly, the hand holding Allen's throat was released, and Ron's body tilted and fell to the ground.

Behind him is Nancy holding a mahogany box high.

She stood there motionless, gasping for breath, staring at the terrifying shadow in front of Allen.

"Cough—cough—" Allen let go of his throat, and stepped back away from the mummy and Ron.

With a bang, the mahogany box fell from Nancy's hands. Nancy stood motionless, her hands pressed tightly to her cheeks. Allen grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him.

"Thank you, Nancy! You saved me," Allen whispered.

"But Ron! Ron won't be killed by me, will he?" Nancy's throat tightened in fear, and her whole body began to tremble.

"No, no, he's a wizard!" Allen comforted repeatedly, and couldn't help worrying in his heart.

"Although wizards have nothing to do with being crushed to death by a wooden box..."

There was a snap, and the mask on Ron's face fell to the ground.

The mummy suddenly let out a hoarse and sharp voice: "Thank you, my slave!" Nancy wanted to open her mouth to scream - but she couldn't make a sound, she stared in horror at the mummy who was approaching step by step .

"Who are you?" Allen asked alertly.

"Who am I?" The mummy chuckled, and Allen actually read pride on his rotten face!

"I am the great King Tutankhamun, and the greatest prophet ever!" Tutankhamun straightened his chest wrapped in sackcloth.

Seeing that Allen and the mummy seemed to be chatting happily, the big-hearted Nancy actually eased her fear a little...

She grabbed Alan's skirt and asked, "What are you talking about?"

"He said his name was Tutankhamun, and he was a great prophet." Allen explained softly.

"I have waited far too long for this day!" said Tutankhamun. "I have waited so many centuries, my slave."

He raised his crackling arms as if embracing the sun.

"I know that one day, you will open my tomb."

As soon as Tutankhamun waved, Ron's wand flew into his hand.

He looked at the wand for a while, with excitement shining on his terrifying face, and said loudly: "As a reward for resurrecting me, I allow you to be my slaves forever."

Alan watched him vigilantly, waiting for an opportunity to retrieve his wand. Tutankhamun seemed to have fallen into some kind of fantasy and was too excited to hold back.

"I'm back! I'm resurrected! I have so much power, so much wealth, I will continue to rule Egypt - just as I did four thousand years ago!"

Ron groaned and woke up holding his head. He stood up unsteadily, and found that the mummy could walk and talk! Before he could be frightened, he cried out angrily, "Give me back my wand!"

Ron actually rushed to the mummy and reached out to snatch it, "It's mine, give it back to me."

A grim laugh escaped Tutankhamun's throat.

"You won't need it," he said softly, aiming his wand at Ron.

Just when Ron successfully attracted Tutankhamun's attention, Allen rushed out quickly and retrieved his wand.

"Disarm you!" Tutankhamun was knocked into the golden coffin by the huge force of the curse, and the magic wand in his hand flew out.

Tutankhamun stood up quickly, and the burlap cloth on his body was dragged on the ground in tatters, revealing his withered and shriveled body.

To Allen's surprise, Tutankhamun didn't attack him and Ron at the first time, but stuffed a purple amulet in his heart into the shroud, obviously cherishing it very much.
