Chapter 551 Hufflepuff and the Skrewt

If Harry thought things would get better once everyone got used to him being a player, he was dead wrong.

Since coming out of the Owl Room, Harry has been in the middle of a whirlpool of public opinion, and no one can help him.

As soon as he went back to class, he couldn't avoid meeting other people. Apparently, like the Gryffindors, others believed that Harry signed up for the competition himself.

Unlike the Gryffindors, they were not happy at all.

Hufflepuff students usually get along well with Gryffindor students, but now, they all become very cold.

A lesson in herbalism explains it all.

It was clear that Hufflepuff's students felt that Harry was stealing the spotlight from their contestants. This may be because they have received too few honors, so they are resentful of Cedric, the man who won them honors by defeating Gryffindor in the Quidditch match.

Makmie and Flurry usually get along well with Harry, but now they don't talk to him anymore.

Even though they were still playing bouncing ball on the same plate, they would laugh sometimes when Harry's bouncing ball jumped out and hit him in the face.

Ron didn't speak to Harry either, and Hermione sat between them, forcing them to talk. Although the two of them answered her as usual, they didn't look at each other. In the end, Fanlin had to take Hermione away.

"These two people are hopeless."

Harry felt that Professor Sputrow was distant from him - understandably, she was Hufflepuff's Head of House.

Normally, Harry was looking forward to Hagrid's class, but taking Care of Magical Creatures meant meeting people from Slytherin. This was his first meeting with them as a player.

As expected, Malfoy arrived at Hagrid's hut with his usual sardonic expression.

"Hey, look, the contestants are here." He deliberately said to Clara and Goyle within earshot of Harry.

"Have you brought an autograph book? It's best to get an autograph now. I'm worried he won't live long...Half the Triwizard Tournament contestants are dead...How long do you think you can last, Potter? I guess, Chapter 1 You’ve been playing tricks for less than ten minutes since the start of a task, but my father doesn’t agree, because he thinks you’ve had less than three minutes.”

Clara and Goyle laughed loudly, flattering Malfoy. Malfoy stopped talking, because Hagrid came out from the back of the house, holding a rickety tower of wooden boxes, each containing a large blast-ended skrewt.

Horrifyingly, Hagrid began to explain why the Blast-Ended Skrewts were killing each other because their imprisoned energy was too high.

The solution is for each student to tie a leash on each snail and take him for a walk.

Fan Lin simply couldn't imagine what kind of leash he would use to hold these shell creatures with fire-breathing tails for a walk.

Hagrid thought this was a golden retriever? Or is it Erha?

Are you kidding them?

Of course, this is not without its benefits.

The only good thing about this plan was that it completely distracted Malfoy from Harry.

"Take this thing for a walk?" He looked into the box and found it quite disgusting. "So where do you attach the leash to it? Around the sting, the tail, or the sucker?"

"Tie it in the middle," Hagrid said as he demonstrated. "Well, maybe wear dragonhide gloves as a special precaution. Harry - come here and help me keep an eye on this big one...

In fact, his intention was to talk to Harry alone.

After everyone else had left with the Blast-Ended Skrewts, he said to Harry seriously, "Harry, then, are you going to compete as a school contestant?"

"One of the school's players," Harry corrected him.

Hagrid's short-sighted eyes under his thick eyebrows looked worried.

"Harry, do you have any idea who put your name in it?"

"Do you believe it wasn't me?" After hearing Hagrid's words, Harry had a little difficulty showing his gratitude for this.

"Of course I believe it." Hagrid snorted. "If you say it's not you, it's not you. I believe it, Dumbledore believes it too, everyone believes it."

"I really want to know who did it." Harry said in pain.

The two looked at the lawn. The whole class dispersed. With great difficulty, the snails were three feet long.

Strong and powerful, they are no longer colorless and shellless, but have grown a thick layer of shiny gray armor. They look like giant scorpions or elongated crabs. It's a pity that it is still headless.

Now they are so muscular that they are almost unmanageable.

"Hermione, be careful..." Fan Lin shouted from the distance.

Fan Lin directly used magic to grab the Explosive-Ended Skrewt, and then slowly moved to Hermione's side.

This damn thing was so powerful that he and Hermione were pulled down several times, and Fan Lin had completely lost his patience.

"It seems they are having a good time, huh?" Hagrid was quite happy.

Harry thought he meant Blast-Ended Skrewt. His classmates must have been unhappy, because any one of the snails would jump away with a whoosh, usually a few yards away. At that time, the person pulling it would be in misfortune and would be pulled down by it. Now there are several people lying down over there, struggling to stand up.

"Maybe, hopefully they won't freeze..." Harry sighed.

"Freeze?" Hagrid was a little confused, "You mean..."

"It's nothing, Hagrid..." Harry shook his head, staring at his few good friends.

"Ahem, Harry, I don't know." Hagrid sighed suddenly and looked at him worriedly. "School contestant, how come everything happens to you?"

Harry didn't answer. Yes, it seemed that everything happened to him. It was more or less as Hermione said to him when they were walking by the lake. As far as she knew, this was why Ron stopped talking to him.

But, is it the same with Fanlin?

However, Fanlin and Ron's relationship has never been particularly good... Moreover, Fanlin is usually very low-key in Hogwarts. No one thinks he is a celebrity, of course, before the Quidditch World Cup incident.

The next days in Hogwarts were really terrible for Harry.

He had experienced similar situations before. It was in the second year. During those months, most people in the school suspected that he attacked his classmates. But at that time, Ron was by his side to support him.

But now, he thought that if he had a friend like Ron to support him, he could deal with all the other students in the school.

But if Ron didn't want to talk to him, he wouldn't try to persuade him to talk to him. Even so, he felt very lonely, and endured the disgusting looks from all directions, which was a terrible feeling.

He didn't want to trouble Fanlin, he wanted to rely on himself and Hermione.

He was very glad that he and Ron had such a pair of sober friends, but after all, this was... (To be continued)
