Chapter 211 Daily Life
Now, except for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, all other classes have become a bit boring. Hagrid has become silent since the accident in the first class.
Hagrid seemed to have lost confidence. Now they're learning lesson after lesson on how to care for Flobber caterpillars, which must be the most annoying creatures in existence.
"Why should anyone bother taking care of them?" Ron said as he spent another hour stuffing shredded lettuce down the Flobber caterpillar's slimy throat.
However, when the time entered October, everything seemed to be getting better. Hermione no longer blushed and avoided Fan Lin because of the slightest thing. No matter what, she and Fan Lin seemed to have become a recognized setting. Certainly.
Moreover, Hermione doesn't seem to have that much energy to think about these things. She has to take twice as many classes every day. If Fanlin hadn't helped her, Hermione wouldn't even have brought those thick textbooks out of Gryffin. Multiple public rooms are a problem.
Fanlin has said this to Hermione many times, but every time Hermione just said that she would consider it, there was no sincerity in her words...
Of course, there is also Harry. After entering October, Harry has something to focus on. This kind of thing is interesting enough to make up for the troubles caused to him by the classes he did not do well. The Quidditch season was approaching, and one Tuesday evening, Oliver Wood, the captain of the Gryffindor team, called a meeting to discuss tactics for the new season.
This also means that Harry and others will start crazy Quidditch training again. Wood takes training very seriously, but this will give Harry more time to fly in the sky. A while is always better than going to class or just being bored.
When time passed again, Hogwarts entered the Halloween period, and a piece of exciting news changed everyone's expectations.
The arrival of the first Hogsmeade week replaced the news of Sirius' arrival in Duff Town. Although the Dementors have allowed Sirius to escape successfully once, some young wizards still have hope for the Ministry of Magic's methods, although this is only due to the Daily Prophet.
"Those who are going to Hogsmeade, please give your registration forms to Mr. Filch..." Professor McGonagall stood on the steps at the entrance of the castle. Almost all the third-year wizards were waiting at the bottom of the steps. Mr. Filch collected their registration forms.
Of course, Harry was not among these people. Harry was hiding behind the castle door.
When Harry saw Fan Lin, Hermione and Ron hand in their registration forms, he finally couldn't hold it in anymore. He rushed out from the side, still holding his An unsigned registration form.
"Potter, I think you should give this to Mr. Filch..." Professor McGonagall looked down at Harry who was standing next to him.
"I'm sorry...Professor McGonagall, my aunt and uncle...oh...forgot to sign my application form," Harry said.
Professor McGonagall looked at him over her square glasses, but said nothing.
"So...oh...do you think it's okay...I mean...can I...if I go to Hogsmeade, is it okay?" Harry said in a panic, and Professor McGonagall looked at it. The look in his eyes made him feel very guilty.
Professor McGonagall withdrew her gaze and began to flip through the paper Filch had just handed over.
"I'm afraid not, Potter," said Professor McGonagall. "You heard what I just said. If you don't hand in your form, don't go. That's the rule."
"But...Professor, my aunt and uncle...you know, they're all Muggles, they don't really understand...understand the tables and people at Hogwarts." said Harry, with Ron standing aside. Nodding vigorously to encourage him, "If you say I can go..."
"But I wouldn't say that," said Professor McGonagall. She stood up and put the papers she had just collected neatly into her pocket.
"The application form clearly stated that the consent of a parent or guardian must be obtained." Professor McGonagall turned around and looked at him, with a strange expression on his face. "I'm sorry, Potter, but this is my final decision. You'd better go or you'll be late for your next lesson."
"Thank you... thank you... Professor McGonagall..." Harry's face looked a little ugly. He lowered his head and turned around to return to the castle.
"Potter..." Professor McGonagall hesitated, Harry turned back expectantly, and several people looked at Professor McGonagall like this.
"I'm sorry, but..." Professor McGonagall paused, "Go back."
Harry was like a defeated rooster.
"Sorry, brother..." Ron said sympathetically.
"We can bring you something interesting. How about Honeydukes candies?" Hermione asked carefully. It was a rare opportunity for her to not have to go to class.
"No, no need..." Harry shook his head. He was really not in the mood. Although the Halloween dinner was nice, it would be best if he could come back from Hogsmeade with everyone and attend the dinner.
"Maybe you can..." Fan Lin gestured with his hand to shape the cloak. Professor McGonagall was still there, so he couldn't give Harry any more hints.
However, his idea was not put into practice. Although Professor McGonagall didn't understand it, Hermione still knew it very well.
"Fan Lin..." Hermione hit Fan Lin's ribs with her elbow in dissatisfaction, "You are not allowed to seduce Harry!"
"I..." Vanlin was about to say something, but he was pulled away by Hermione.
"I'm sorry, Harry... I think we have to hurry over..." Hermione didn't wait for Harry to say anything, she pulled Vanlin with one hand and chased the large group heading to Hogsmeade.
If Vanlin continued to talk, Hermione was not sure whether Harry would really follow him with a cloak. You know, this is quite tempting for Harry.
They knew very well why Professor McGonagall didn't let Harry go to Hogsmeade. Sirius Black had already appeared in Duff Town not far away.
There was only a mountain between there and Hogsmeade. Although there were Dementors guarding every intersection, it was obvious that the Dementors had lost their deterrent power, and their guards could not be fully trusted.
Sirius Black was a murderer, and his main target was Harry. Hagrid didn't even want Harry to go to him at night.
Although there were many people going to Hogsmeade together, it was not certain whether Sirius would jump out and give Harry an Avada. (To be continued)
