Chapter 212 The Fat Lady Escapes

Since it was the first time to visit Hogsmeade, Professor McGonagall, who served as the tour guide and accompanying professor, spent more time introducing the facilities and historical background stories of Hogsmeade to the young wizards.

This made the first trip to Hogsmeade not as pleasant as expected. They were only allowed to wander around for a short period of time, and the time was rushed.

This made Fanlin's wish to search Sirius's hiding place come to nothing, and they could only buy Harry some Honeydukes candies as a token of comfort.

However, on the next tour, Professor McGonagall will no longer be there to explain the whole process. They will have plenty of time to wander around Hogsmeade.

But back at Hogwarts, Harry was not as depressed as he thought. When Fan Lin and others went to Hogsmeade, he had a good exchange with Professor Lupine, who was about to suspend classes, and learned that Lupin The professor was a close friend of Harry's father and mother, which made Harry very happy.

"Look," said Ron, "we brought you so much candy, we can't take any more."

A shower of sweets fell onto Harry's lap. It was dusk, and Fanlin and the other three had just appeared in the common room. Their faces had been blown pink by the cold wind, and they looked like they had been playing happily for a while.

"Thanks," Harry said, picking up a small bag of pepper urchins. "How was Hogsmeade? Where have you been?" Just listen and you'll know - everywhere. DeVos and Bangs, the Magical Equipment Shop, Zuko's Joke Shop, the Three Broomsticks serving frothy butterbeer, and many other places. "The post office, Harry! There are about two hundred owls, all sitting on racks, all color coded, depending on how fast your letter needs to go!"

"Actually, today might have been even better if Professor McGonagall didn't follow me the whole time." Fan Lin said, he took off his scarf. He wanted to find Sirius, but it was obviously impossible to break away from the large army. Yes, and Hermione is still here...

"How are you?" Hermione asked. "Have been doing homework all day?"

"No..." Harry simply conveyed to Fan Lin and others the details of his conversation with Professor Luping today and the news that Professor Luping was about to suspend classes.

"Do you think Snape will...add some...you know to the medicine for Professor Lupin?" Ron asked carefully. By this time, they had entered the hall and the Halloween dinner was about to begin. .

"...Ron..." Hermione was speechless, "Can you please clear your mind? Even if it is poison, Snape will not give it to Professor Lupin in front of Harry..."

"I was just asking..." Ron said. After playing around for a day, Ron and Hermione seemed to have forgotten the unpleasantness between their pets.

There were hundreds of jack-o-lanterns hanging in the auditorium, as well as a group of fluttering bats and many orange streamers that breathed flames. They floated lazily under the ceiling, like brilliant water snakes.

The food was exquisite; even Hermione and Ron, who ate Honeydukes sweets until their bellies burst, ordered second portions of everything. As for Fan Lin... he had long forgotten what he wanted to do. Faced with the temptation of delicious food, thinking about anything else became blasphemy.

The dinner ended with entertainment provided by the ghosts of Hogwarts. Ghosts pop up from walls and tables in a sort of gliding procession; Gryffindor's nearly headless Nick successfully recreates his beheading.

The evening was really enjoyable, and Harry was in a good mood. Malfoy shouted in the crowd as everyone left the Great Hall: "The dementors greet you, Harry!" Even this did not dampen his mood. .

But unpleasant things always come when everyone is relaxed.

When several people returned to the Gryffindor common room, the crowd on the stairs blocked their view.

"What happened? Why don't they go in?" Ron said. His Scabbers was still in the dormitory, and he was going to take care of the poor little mouse.

Fan Lin looked over the head of the person. The portrait seems to be closed.

"Please let me pass." Percy's voice came out of the crowd. "Why are you stuck here? You all must have forgotten the password...I'm sorry, I am the president of the Boys' Student Union..."

The crowd fell silent, starting from the front, so it was like a cold wave spreading through the corridors. They heard Percy speak, and his voice suddenly became high-pitched: "Someone please invite Professor Dumbledore. Quick!"

Everyone turned around, and the person standing at the end stood on tiptoe.

"What happened?" said Ginny, who had just arrived.

Not long after, Professor Dumbledore hurriedly came up from downstairs. People made a gap for Professor Dumbledore, and Fan Lin and others took the opportunity to follow him.

"Oh my God..." Hermione gasped. The three torn wounds on the portrait of the Fat Lady, the gatekeeper of Gryffindor, were so naked in front of everyone. As for the Fat Lady, she had no idea. Missing.

"You'll be lucky!" said a hoarse voice. It was Peeves, the trickster, dancing over the heads of the crowd, looking very happy, as he always did at the sight of destruction and sorrow.

"What do you mean, Peeves?" Dumbledore asked calmly. Peeves' smile faded a little. He didn't dare laugh at Dumbledore. He adopted a slick tone instead, which sounded better than the hoarse voice.

"Excuse me, Mr. Headmaster. The Fat Lady didn't want to be seen. She made a mess. I saw her running past the landscape on the fifth floor, sir, hiding among the trees, crying about something horrible," he said cheerfully. "Poor thing," he added, without any pity.

"Did she say who did it?" Dumbledore asked quietly.

"Oh, she did, Head Professor," said Peeves, with an air as if he had a big bomb in his arms. "She wouldn't let him in, and he was very angry, you understand." Peeves somersaulted in the air and grinned at Dumbledore from between his own legs. "He has a really bad temper, cold eyes, and a breath of death. You should understand that, Sirius Black."

"What?" Dumbledore seemed very shocked. The originally happy atmosphere was swept away by the news of Sirius. Dumbledore didn't notice anything about passing through the guards of the Dementors and the defense measures of Hogwarts. Sirius's strength was obviously much stronger than when Vanlin first saw him.
