Chapter 136: Something I Want to Say Before It's on the Shelves
I have something to say when it goes on shelves tomorrow.
There are many people who write fanfiction at Qidian, and there are also many who write Marvel fanfiction.
I have always thought that Marvel, as a fan fiction, is the worst of all fan fiction.
Unlike many other stories, Marvel itself doesn't have a fixed protagonist. There is no linear story narrated by one main character.
Instead, multi-linear stories are compiled together to form a huge system.
This is a system that makes all fan authors daunting. There are many characters on the stage and the story is too complicated.
There are various hybrids of power systems. Not just science, magic, martial arts, alien gods, and even many extraterritorial things.
Therefore, many authors write with a relatively simple movie universe with clear clues as the subject matter.
Anyone who reads my novel and reads the present should be able to find that this book is not just about the movie universe or the 616 universe.
It's more like a brand new universe that I made up. All the stories here are original after I borrowed from Marvel's settings.
In this case, the protagonist of this book has no way to turn on the foresight and kill the Quartet.
Although the system is a cheat, the cheat is very irresponsible.
And the protagonist's set character is an ordinary person, perhaps the only specialty is cooking and some talk. This kind of person is actually an inconspicuous person among all living beings.
Maybe it's you, maybe it's me.
The essence of this story is actually the story of how an ordinary person transforms into a superhero after being honed.
I have always believed that a successful person is not successful because he is born again, or has golden fingers.
Successful people must have their own characteristics. A bastard was reborn and he was still a bastard twenty years ago.
This is actually a story about how an ordinary person like you and me finds his own characteristics and finally becomes an extraordinary person.
This is not just the strength or not, but also the journey of a person's spiritual growth.
In this process, the protagonist must learn such excellent qualities as humility, strength, tolerance, and bravery, not just how much power he gains and how many monsters he kills.
It is actually not easy to write a book like this. This is the author's first novel, so there must be many problems. Whether it is writing or plot structure, it is impossible to satisfy many people.
This is where I know myself.
For example, someone recently said that the content of this volume is too messy and there are too many characters on the stage.
This is because I cut out more than 50,000 words of the second volume of the story of the vampire empire. Many stories and characters that should have been foreshadowed in the second volume did not appear.
But for the story of the third volume, I can only bite the bullet.
At that time, many people commented that they should not read the vampire story, so I could only cut off the second volume. In the end, there was only one story about the vampire that was barely inserted into the third volume.
To be honest, with such a cut, the first 500,000 words of my outline are basically abolished.
And in order to ensure daily updates, I basically don't have time to rework the previous outline, and in order not to destroy the content that was ordered later, I was very painful to write the content of the third volume.
Moreover, there are many things that should have been written, but there is no place to put them in.
In the end, I can only make compromises to make deletions in order to ensure that the writing continues.
Regarding the writing of big events, I am actually very entangled. If the perspective is all focused on the protagonist, then many side stories will be abandoned.
If we write in multiple lines, some book friends will say that we are not here to watch the protagonist play soy sauce, and a protagonist who does not pretend to be a good protagonist is not a good protagonist.
Especially the big events in my book are basically my original creations.
For the missing part of the third volume, I will write independent single-player chapters and publish them to the work in the future in the way of Marvel’s supplementary branch setting. This is free of charge.
I'll add and finish the story about Erica King and the vampire Ji Changgang and Daredevil.
A lot of the content here was originally interspersed in the vampire empire, but now there is no way. It cannot be squeezed into the story of the third volume.
Otherwise, there will be a lot of time when the protagonist will not appear on stage, becoming a super soy sauce.
As for what some people want to read, the story of the protagonist showing off his power and then accepting this beauty or that beauty will not appear in my book.
There will not even be ambiguity.
The reason is simple, because my mother will read my updates every day, there is no way I can write those things. Don't count on the loli development you want to see.
I'm going to write and my mom will beat me up. Anyway, don't expect anything out of the ordinary and over the top.
The above will be put on the shelves tomorrow for subscription. Another chapter update tonight.
