Chapter 1681 Live the Way You Want
Of course Angel wouldn't think that a house of heart alone could allow Toby to overcome his hatred.
However, the first priority now is to enable Toby to face his deep resentment.
Only by facing the bleak ending can we have the motivation to change the misery.
In reality, once Toby faces the extremely resentful thoughts, it is equivalent to opening up the disaster of five tastes. No one knows whether the disaster can be overcome. But in the house of the heart, facing the most resentful thoughts, you are not afraid of this risk.
This is also a unique feature of the House of Hearts.
…
When Cell came back to his senses from the silence, Angel and Froud had just finished discussing the issue of inner demon fighting power.
According to Angel's calculations, the experiment was over, and he had learned all he needed to know. However, Angel did not leave immediately, but looked at Shalu, whose eyes were still a little dazed.
"It seems that you haven't given a sufficient reason yet."
Sarru made a request before. He hopes to enter the House of Heart to try again in the future. Angel said at the time that he wouldn't mind making an exception if Shahruh could give a sufficient reason.
But so far, Shalu has not given a reason to convince Angel.
Shalu lowered his head and his voice became slightly deeper: "What I said before was what happened behind the third door. In fact, the first door and the second door, to me, are more important than the third door. The door is more important."
Angel did not interrupt Shalu and motioned for him to continue.
"Next, I will tell a short story. It may not be interesting, but it is my experience and it is also related to the first two doors." Shahru paused and then began to talk.
Shahruh lived in a small town called Kudo when he was a child. He had not seen his father since he was a child, and he lived with his mother and brother Lisa. Life in Kudo Town was the happiest time in his life.
Shalu's eyes lit up when he talked about life in Kudor Town. The mother was very kind to their brothers and allowed them to pursue their dreams freely. Brother Lisa's dream is to be an auditor; Shahru wants to be a knight of justice.
Shalu has been working hard for this dream since he was in trouble.
Lisa and Shalu spent a wonderful childhood until their mother died unexpectedly. Their sky instantly changed from bright and scorching sunshine to bleak and gloomy clouds.
Then, they were taken to live in Saint Syme City by their uncle who came from afar.
It was good at first. Although my aunt was often sarcastic, my uncle was more protective of them. But not long after, my uncle offended someone and was laid off from the company. In order to support the family, he ended up working as a gatekeeper.
From then on, my uncle drank and wandered around decadently all day long and no longer cared about them. The aunt and her son began to torture them for six years.
Shalu did not elaborate on the details of these six years, but his eyes were full of anger and despair, and even faintly fearful. It can be seen that these six years of torture are definitely not ordinary cynicism, there may be beatings and even humiliation of personality.
The uncle had actually known about their abuse for a long time, but he pretended not to know.
During those six years, Salu and Lisa grew up from innocent children who were ignorant of pursuing dreams, to understanding the ways of the world, and to seeing through the cruelty of reality.
When Lisa was seventeen years old, she left her uncle's house with Salu and started life in a dilapidated wooden house in the forest. In order to support herself and Shalu, Lisa gave up her studies and her dream of becoming an auditor, and shepherded sheep in a manor to survive.
After leaving the nightmare of their uncle's house, they thought they could get a new life even though they gave up their dreams.
Unfortunately, this period only lasted three years.
A flash flood after a heavy rain washed away the wooden house they lived in and buried their future. When they opened their eyes again, they had been taken to the First Heart City by Froud.
At this point, Shalu finally got to the point.
"The first door is a wooden door. It was the door of my former home when I was a child. There are two patterns painted on it, a pony and a book. These two patterns were used by my brother and I when we were children. It was painted with branches, and my mother beat our brothers because of it. However, we were still very happy, because the two patterns represented our dreams, the horse was the knight, and the book was the auditor. "
When Shalu talked about the past, there seemed to be light shining in his eyes. However, when he talked about the second door, his eyes were full of hatred and anger.
"The second door is the door of my uncle's house, where my brother and I have been living nightmares for six years."
With just one sentence, Shalu seemed to have exhausted all his strength.
After a long while, he finally came to his senses and said, "The reason why I want to try again is because I want to open the first door and take a look."
After Shalu finished speaking, he looked at Angel expectantly.
Angel showed no expression and said in a very cold tone: "Then what?"
Obviously, Shalu's previous statement may have moved him, but it did not move Angel.
The reasons he gave were still insufficient in Angel's opinion.
Shalu was silent for a moment, with hesitation in his eyes.
Angel: "If that's all, I can't make an exception for you."
After hearing Angel's words, Shalu finally made up his mind. He slowly knelt down and when Angel raised his eyebrows, he lowered his head and stretched out his hands to cross his chest.
Shahruh didn't say anything, but his actions said it all.
This is a knighthood. Meaning, deliver everything to me, my life, my future, and my glory.
Angel: "Get up, you are not a knight."
Cell raised his head and said in a firm tone: "I will become a knight."
Angel looked at Cell quietly: "I don't need a knight."
Cell's eyes were still firm, and he didn't seem to be affected by Angel's words.
After a long time, Angel said again: "Although I don't need a knight, the City of Beginning Heart shouldn't think there are too many knights."
Cell's eyes flashed with joy.
"Of course, the premise is that you are qualified to be a knight. At least, you are not qualified now, so go back to the library to reflect."
Then, without waiting for Cell to respond, Angel asked Frode to cover Cell's eyes and ordered someone to take him back to the library.
After Cell left, Frode looked at Angel: "My lord, I am still willing to give Cell a chance."
Angel seemed determined, but he didn't actually kill Cell's hope. Not being qualified now doesn't mean not being qualified in the future.
"I didn't give you the opportunity." Angel said softly.
When Cell performed the knight's salute, Angel couldn't actually judge what Cell was thinking at the time, but at least at that moment, his eyes were firm and unwavering.
This look touched Angel for a moment.
However, people's minds change. Everyone has a moment when they are determined to do something, but this determination never lasts long, either due to external environment or lack of perseverance. So, Cell's firmness at this moment does not mean that he will be firm in the future.
For this reason, Angel did not give a positive answer. But his words did not kill Cell's hope.
But if you give hope, whether you can seize the opportunity is up to Cell.
"After listening to Cell's story, I understand him a little bit. It is the environment that shapes his perverse character." Frode sighed, "Sometimes people don't want to grow up to be what they hate, but they are born at the wrong time."
Angel: "Lissa also experienced the same environment, but did not exile herself."
Happy people are similar, and unfortunate people have their own misfortunes. There are people in the world who are more unfortunate than Cell, such as Kuina, the gifted person that Angel brought back from Hailan. All her limbs were cut off and her lips were sewn up. She could be called a human stick.
But even so, Kuina did not give up on herself because of her misfortune. She did a lot of vicious things, but the determination in her eyes was something Angel had never seen before.
For Angel, if Cell can really carry out his beliefs to the end, it would be fine to give him a chance. But if it's just talk, it doesn't matter.
Life is originally controlled by oneself.
To live the way you want is not actually a final destination, but a process of reaching the other side.
Since it's just a process, you won't give up just because of the changing environment or the passing of time.
