Chapter 115 A Good Candidate to Be a Professor
"Filch?!" Harry stared at the face outside the window in amazement.
The window was pushed open, and Filch, the gatekeeper of Hogwarts, stared at Harry and said:
"It seems that you always like to do something terrible, Potter. You actually raised a nest of snakes in your dormitory, and it seems that you are going to do it to your roommate?"
He sneered: "It turns out that you are the embryo of a dark wizard. Last time you almost killed my cat, and this time you want to kill your classmates. You are really born evil!"
"No!" Harry was stunned after hearing this, and hurriedly explained: "These snakes have nothing to do with me..."
"Go explain to the professors!" Filch glanced at him coldly and turned to leave.
But he stopped suddenly again, looking panicked.
Because there were a large number of venomous snakes in front of him, and he was about to leave through the passage. They were densely packed and crawling in the dark.
"Potter!" Filch suddenly shouted: "Do you want to kill me too? Get out! Get them out!"
There were so many snakes around, and they were rushing to Filch's feet like a tide.
He seemed frightened and screamed wildly, attracting students from nearby dormitories to watch. Some of them even ran over bravely. When they got close, they found that there were snakes all over the ground!
"Where did all these snakes come from?" a student asked in surprise.
"Who else could it be?!" Filch was a little excited, "Who else could it be except Harry Potter?!"
"Potter! Keep your snake away from me!" he yelled.
Filch accidentally tripped when he stepped back, and a venomous snake climbed up his trouser leg. He screamed and waved the oil lamp in his hand to drive it away.
But his rough action overturned the oil lamp and ignited the venomous snake. The ignited venomous snake immediately began to roll and made a piercing hissing!
This seemed to annoy the entire group of venomous snakes. All the venomous snakes began to make cold calls, crawling rapidly in the dark, crawling towards Filch, and even the students who were watching the excitement were not spared!
"Ah!!!" A student screamed and fled in panic!
Bang! The door of the dormitory next to him slammed shut.
"Get out! Get out!" Venomous snakes crawled onto Filch's face. He screamed wildly, his face flushed, and he tried to drive the venomous snakes off his body in a panic.
The dense swarm of snakes quickly surrounded the fleeing students in a "sea of snakes". Almost in an instant, several students were so scared that their faces turned pale and they let the venomous snakes crawl on their feet.
"Joerman, what should we do now?" One student's voice trembled.
"I..." The student named Joerman was a curly-haired boy. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself, but his face still couldn't help shaking: "I don't know either..."
The swarm of snakes began to crawl onto the students, gradually submerging their ankles, calves, and knees. The venomous snakes bared their teeth and showed their fangs, as if they were going to bite and inject some deadly toxins into their bodies.
One of the students saw the bloody mouth and was so frightened that he couldn't bear it anymore. He screamed and ran away!
"Not good!" Harry finally opened the door of the dormitory that was blocked by snakes. He stared at the scene in front of him and took a deep breath.
"Sha~~"
The venomous snakes crawling in the dark suddenly froze, and all the venomous snakes stopped moving and turned their heads towards Harry. This scene was indeed a bit weird, making several students watching feel scalp numb.
"This is..." A student made a sound in fear.
Harry was about to continue to speak that strange language, when suddenly a hand patted his shoulder. He looked back and saw that it was Meka who was originally sleeping soundly.
Meka Anders passed him and looked at the dense venomous snakes in the corridor, and his heart suddenly felt a little cold.
He raised his wand, threw a pillow, and whispered in the dark.
Bang! It seemed that a slight explosion sounded.
The pillow suddenly exploded into sulfur powder in the night, like a golden mist spreading. Suddenly, the venomous snakes on the corridor scattered and left in a panic in the night.
Filch and the rescued students were also drenched in golden water. The students looked at the snakes going away, as if they had woken up from a dream and fled away.
"Potter..." Filch was extremely embarrassed, and he stared at Harry with hatred.
Harry saw the other party's face and knew that things were not good, and hurriedly explained again: "Mr. Filch, I really don't know where those snakes came from. I am not their owner..."
Filch was emotional and didn't listen to half of the words. He was so angry that his face turned red: "You dare to let the snakes attack me, you wait for Potter, I will tell the professors all this truthfully, definitely!"
As he said, he turned around and was about to leave.
On the side, Meka was stunned for a moment, and soon understood the truth. He came to Filch and said:
"Mr. Filch, do you think the snakes were raised by Harry?"
Filch was stopped by him and glanced at him coldly: "He can control snakes, didn't you see it too?"
"Is that so?" Meka nodded.
His mind was spinning wildly, trying to recall what kind of person Filch was. He had to start with his personality to calm him down, otherwise everything would be difficult to communicate.
"What kind of personality is Filch?" Meka was thinking, "bad temper, low self-esteem, sensitive, and eager for respect and recognition?"
Meka pondered for a moment and said, "Harry seems to be able to communicate with the snakes. I don't refute this. I know that you, Mr. Filch, were attacked by the snakes and you were scared and angry. If it were an ordinary person who encountered such a thing, I'm afraid he would not be able to calm down for a while."
"Are you mocking me?" Filch showed an angry look: "I am really excited, I'm just a Muggle! I really can't calm down at all!"
"No, you are different." Meka shook his head:
"Mr. Filch has been handling various affairs for Hogwarts for many years. He is the only ordinary person in Hogwarts now. Don't you think you are special?"
Filch was suddenly stunned when he heard this.
He stared at the little wizard in front of him, but found that his eyes were bright and full of sincerity.
He gradually calmed down.
Meka looked at the other person's face and continued, "I want to ask Mr. Filch, an ordinary person like you can stay in Hogwarts for so many years and help Hogwarts deal with so many affairs. Isn't this because Professor Dumbledore trusts your ability?"
Filch looked at him, was silent for a while, and did not answer.
But his expression was much more relaxed again.
Meka said again: "Since you are not a wizard, but just an ordinary person, but Professor Dumbledore still lets you handle some important affairs. Doesn't this show that your abilities and characteristics in a certain aspect are particularly outstanding?
Hogwarts is a school, and the most important part of the school is the students, but Professor Dumbledore lets you be responsible for handling students' violations. Doesn't this show that you have a clear mind that can distinguish right from wrong?"
Filch kept staring at his eyes, and at this moment, he finally looked away.
He finally said, "I was indeed impulsive."
He hesitated, and said, "But I still have to tell the professors about this..."
"This is your duty, and I certainly won't stop you." Meka smiled and said, "I believe in your judgment, Mr. Filch, and you can objectively explain everything that happened today to every professor. Harry will also get a fair result under your protection."
Meka briefly talked to Filch for a few more words and sent Filch away.
When he turned around, Harry was staring at him with surprise, as if he didn't expect that he could even convince Filch.
"Meka, just now..." Harry finally came to his senses, and he wanted to explain to Meka what had just happened.
Meka smiled and patted his shoulder: "Harry, I also vaguely felt something in my dream. I know you saved my life. I am very grateful to you..."
Not far away, in the darkness of the corridor, a tall old man adjusted his silver moon-shaped glasses, and a flash of surprise flashed in his eyes:
"You can actually calm down Argus..."
He then smiled kindly: "You are really a good material for being a professor. Maybe in the future..."
