Chapter 743 A World Where only Yellow-Haired Minks Are Hurt!
When the Tathagata Buddha was meditating in the mountains to cultivate his 10-foot-tall golden body, a peacock happened to land and prey on humans in the mountains. After seeing the Tathagata, the peacock greedily swallowed the meditating Tathagata into his stomach while the Tathagata was sitting still.
After the Tathagata's golden body was completed, in order to prevent the golden body from being contaminated by the filth of the ass, the Tathagata had to make a hole in the peacock's back to escape.
Afterwards, the Tathagata, who was originally a demon, killed the peacock to rectify the Dharma, but under the persuasion of the Buddhas, he learned that he had actually formed a causal relationship with the peacock.
The reason was that the Tathagata was trapped in the peacock's belly, but with the help of the peacock's power, he was able to cultivate his 10-foot-tall golden body.
The Tathagata who cultivated the 10-foot-tall golden body and the Tathagata who did not cultivate the golden body were essentially two completely different beings.
The most important thing is that in order to avoid polluting the 10-foot-tall golden body, the Tathagata did not come out of the ass, but was born from the peacock's belly, so he can be regarded as a son born from the belly.
If Tathagata really killed the peacock, it would be equivalent to killing the mother who gave him a new life.
Once such a serious sin is exposed, it will inevitably cause an uproar. Those with ulterior motives will take the opportunity to make a fuss and pull Tathagata down from the throne of the ancestor of all Buddhas who is high above and admired by everyone.
Faced with such a difficult situation, even though Tathagata Buddha was very unhappy in his heart, he had to swallow his anger and reluctantly recognized the peacock as his mother.
But anyone with a discerning eye could see that Tathagata did not have much kindness towards this so-called "mother of Buddha", and it could even be said that he was quite cold.
Later, Tathagata mercilessly ordered the peacock to change its gender and name, and it turned into Lingji Bodhisattva.
Since then, Lingji Bodhisattva has embarked on a long and arduous path of practice.
After years of baptism and the continuous influence of profound Buddhist teachings, he finally relied on his firm belief to successfully get rid of his original demonic nature, achieved the status of a great bodhisattva, and was revered as one of the eight great bodhisattvas of Buddhism.
In contrast, the fate of the peacock's younger brother, the golden-winged Peng eagle, was completely different.
He was also accepted by Tathagata, but Tathagata seemed to be too indulgent and doting on him.
Growing up in such an unrestrained environment, the ferocious nature of the golden-winged Peng eagle was not only not curbed, but became more violent and wanton.
He acted recklessly and took pleasure in cannibalism. The crimes he committed were innumerable and intolerable.
Today, the golden-winged Peng eagle is like a spoiled naughty child, firmly believing that no matter what mistakes he made, he would be protected and forgiven by Tathagata.
It was this blind self-confidence and arrogance that made him go further and further on the road of sin, bringing endless disasters and suffering to the world.
What worries him even more is that the mistakes made by Dapeng are getting worse and worse, each time more serious and worse.
This makes Lingji, who has been paying attention to Dapeng's every move, feel extremely anxious and uneasy.
Because he knows very well that if Dapeng is allowed to do whatever he wants, sooner or later, Dapeng will definitely provoke those big shots who they are simply unable to compete with and absolutely cannot afford to provoke.
However, facing such a difficult situation, Lingji is helpless and has no good solution to the problem.
You know, no matter how hard he persuades, Dapeng remains unmoved, and only heavy hands can change his demon nature.
But Tathagata has already clearly ordered him not to intervene in this matter. Once he takes action, he is afraid that he will also face Tathagata's punishment and live in Huangfengling for hundreds of years.
On the surface, it is to punish the yellow-haired mink, but in fact it is to punish him, Lingji, and the fundamental reason is that he privately released the dragon soul in the flying dragon staff.
But Lingji himself was the Peacock King Bodhisattva, and Tathagata could not punish him openly, so he punished the golden mink severely for a minor crime.
If he intervened in the affairs of the Golden Winged Dapeng, Lingji would probably not be trapped in the lower world for hundreds of years.
Therefore, he could only stand aside helplessly and watch Dapeng go further and further on the wrong path, sinking and falling day by day.
In desperation, Lingji thought of the only hope that could save Dapeng at present-Xiao.
He was looking forward to asking Xiao for help and saving Dapeng from Tathagata's control.
Only in this way could he get a precious opportunity to teach his brother to reform himself again.
It's a pity that Dapeng's previous actions were too arrogant and domineering, and he was already in an unbearable situation where he was abandoned by everyone, hated by everyone, and hated by dogs.
Even if he could get a top fighter like Lingji as a reward,
Xiao weighed the pros and cons again and again, and resolutely rejected Lingji's request, saying that he was unwilling to take the risk to protect the bad Dapeng.
As the saying goes, "good is rewarded with good, and evil is rewarded with evil", maybe this is the retribution that Dapeng deserves!
Although at present, Xiao seems to be able to sit on the sidelines and quietly wait for Dapeng to finally get into trouble and commit an unforgivable crime.
When that time comes, when someone kills Dapeng personally, at that time, Lingji will not even have room for choice.
As long as he is full of grief and anger for his brother's experience and wants to avenge him, he will inevitably openly oppose Tathagata.
In this way, not only can he get Lingji, but he can also save the worry of being infamous for protecting Dapeng.
It was precisely with this key point in mind that Lingji hung up the communication with Xiao without hesitation.
At this moment, his heart was full of disappointment and helplessness, and he had completely lost interest in continuing to communicate with Xiao.
No matter how many more words he said, it was obvious that Xiao would never be able to give him even the slightest bit of assistance.
After all, Xiao doesn't need to provide him with any additional benefits now.
Just wait patiently and everything will naturally develop according to the planned plan.
By then, I'm afraid there won't be any need for Xiao to come to the door, and Lingji himself will have to go anxiously to plead for Xiao's support.
I have to admit that I was really too concerned about my brother's affairs, so much so that I acted too eagerly and recklessly.
As the saying goes, "Hurrying up is not a deal." Not only did Lingji fail to get the slightest benefit from it, but he let the other party take advantage of it, making it difficult for him to stand up.
"Shut up!"
For a moment, Lingji felt melancholy. He looked at the yellow-haired marten that was still wailing, and immediately slapped it.
"Master??"
The yellow-haired ferret stopped crying with a confused face and looked at Lingji in confusion.
"Why are you crying? Why don't you go clean the courtyard quickly!"
Lingji said with a little relief.
"yes!"
The yellow-haired mink reluctantly went to tidy up the yard that was already overgrown with weeds.
