Black Myth: Journey to the West – Simulate Becoming Immortal!

Chapter 118: Extreme Joy Leads to Sorrow, a Bizarre Dream!

"Hahaha……"

Monk Daosheng looked up to the sky, laughed, and flew away!

When Chen Yi saw this scene, he suddenly looked strange with the Buddha head on his neck.

"No matter what, I like to die..."

The Buddha who broke the precepts was surrounded by immortal belts and grinned.

"Death?"

Chen Ye was stunned for a moment and opened his mouth to speak.

However, at this moment, all that could be heard was the deafening laughter of Monk Daosheng, which suddenly stopped!

Next!

"No! No! This is not Nantianmen!"

Monk Daosheng's voice suddenly became panicked and frightened.

Not Nantianmen?

What on earth could make Monk Daosheng so frightened?

You must know that the monk Daosheng at this time is no different from Lingji Bodhisattva except that he has no attainment status and has some memory deficiencies.

To be able to make such a being so frightened, could it be that there is some great terror within the so-called Nantianmen?

Chen Yi heard the sound with his telepathic ear and was a little surprised for a moment.

His heart felt like a cat scratching him, and he couldn't help but feel curious.

Without even thinking about it, he wanted to use his clairvoyance to get a glimpse of the ascending scene to see what was going on.

But at this moment, Chen Ye felt a twinge of fear in his heart for no apparent reason.

This throbbing forced him not to do so.

He had a feeling in his mind that if he really looked over, something bad might happen.

In this case, Chen Ye had no choice but to listen quietly through Tianertong.

"No! No, no, no, there must be something wrong!"

"Yes, the poor monk is going to Lingshan Mountain, not Nantianmen!"

"How presumptuous! This poor monk is Lingji Bodhisattva!"

"Om-san-beard-saopohe!"

"It's useless, why is it useless!"

"ah--"

Monk Daosheng's frightened voice ended abruptly with a scream.

Immediately afterwards, it started to rain.

Chen Yi felt a chill running down his spine, not knowing what was going on.

He listened carefully and vaguely heard a series of extremely strange sounds.

"Crunch... crunch... crunch..."

"This, this is?"

Chen Ye's expression changed drastically as he heard the meaning of these sounds.

Along the way, he was extremely sensitive to this kind of sound.

If he heard correctly, this was clearly the sound of chewing flesh and bones!

Monk Daosheng, also known as Lingji Bodhisattva, was actually... eaten?

A being who was comparable to a god and a Buddha was eaten like this?

What exactly exists behind the ‘Nantian Gate’?

Chen Bao's scalp was numb, he was sweating, and fear was creeping into his heart.

Looking back on that time, I was very close to ascending.

If the Buddha who broke the precepts hadn't caused trouble at that time, the fate of monk Daosheng today would probably be the same as Chen Ye's fate.

The spring breeze is triumphant, soaring away full of expectations, only to be chewed up and eaten by inexplicable existence in the blink of an eye. How ironic is this?

Chen Yi still remembers the happy look of monk Daosheng just now.

Jiligulu talked a lot, but ended up dead.

This is really ups and downs, extreme joy leads to sadness.

The rain hit the ground drop by drop, and the wind blew slightly.

Just in line with the lyrics of monk Daosheng, blood turns into wind, sand turns into rain...

"I didn't expect it, I didn't expect it!"

"So what about gods and Buddhas, what about Bodhisattvas?"

"Ascension? Hahaha, let's go, let's go!"

"It's good to die. If you die, you won't go crazy..."

Chen Ye lay on the ground and looked at the sky. The fear in his heart made him keep mumbling to himself.

The more he talked, the more he wanted to laugh, until finally the smile on his face became more and more exaggerated and looked quite scary.

His spiritual energy was exhausted, forcing a ringing in his ears.

But at this moment, he didn't care about it.

"Hahaha……"

"A good death, a wonderful death..."

"Scheming against me? You deserve to die!"

"Hahaha, the demon is so crazy that he pursues the ascension by any means, but he turns out to be another meal on the dinner table!"

"Hahaha, I can't do it anymore, oh, cough, cough, cough, I'm laughing so much that my stomach hurts..."

Chen Ye laughed louder and louder, but the pain in his stomach made him frown.

He stretched out his hand to touch his stomach and found that his hand was covered with blood.

It wasn't until this moment that he suddenly realized it.

No wonder it hurt so much. It turned out that he had disemboweled himself when he went crazy.

"It hurts...it really hurts..."

"The yellow wind monster also said that once you become a Buddha, you won't be afraid of pain. Why do I not believe it so much?"

Chen Ye muttered as he put his hand into his stomach and kept stroking his intestines.

Of course he didn't do this because he had nothing to do, nor did he suffer from some kind of madness.

At this time, his intestines were already covered with yellow sand.

Previously, because he had to deal with the yellow wind monster, he stuffed his intestines back indiscriminately without cleaning them at all.

The yellow sand entered his body and now caused him pain, so he naturally had to clean it up.

Chen Yi dug out the sand, his expression twisted, and he turned pale in pain.

Blood gurgled out and soon formed a pool of blood. Fortunately, Chen Ye was no longer a mortal at this time. Otherwise, he would have gone to the Western Paradise long ago if he had not suffered such serious injuries.

But even if he didn't die, the injuries would still cost him half of his life.

Chen Ye's eyes went dark and his vision became blurry.

The wind and sand carried the blood rain, and it fell on his body bit by bit.

He could no longer hold back his fatigue, closed his eyes, lay in a pool of blood and passed out...

It didn't matter that this night, he actually had a bizarre dream!

In the dream, he was the posthumous son of the daughter of the newly appointed number one scholar and prime minister.

My father was persecuted by evil people and died tragically before he took office, ending up with no body left.

My mother was occupied by evil people, and she wished she could eat her flesh and sleep on her skin. Because she was pregnant with me, she had no choice but to compromise.

After I was born, I was afraid that evil people would do something bad to me, so I wrote a letter in blood and pushed me into the river, hoping that someone would save me and we could meet again in the future.

I traveled down the river, was adopted by the mountain, and became a monk.

When I became an adult, I saw the blood letter and decided to avenge my mother.

As a monk, I personally cut out the hearts of evil people just to pay tribute to my father's spirit in heaven.

And my mother saw that her great revenge was avenged, and I grew up.

She lost her thoughts, so she jumped into the river... and committed suicide.

Both of my parents are dead, and I have no relatives in the world, so I can only retreat into Buddhism and concentrate on eating fast and chanting Buddha's name.

Thanks to the love of the King of Tang Dynasty and the guidance of Guanyin, I want to go to the West to worship Buddha and seek scriptures.

All the way to the west, rain or shine, sleeping in the open air.

At first I was not alone, there were two followers.

But on the way, they encountered big insects and all of them were eaten.

Since then, I have been traveling alone, over mountains and ridges.

I often wonder when I will get to Naling Mountain and whether I will die on the way.

What should you do if you encounter a bad person?

I was scared and anxious.

Along the way, greed, anger, stupidity, pride and doubt were all offended by me.

I would become greedy because I was hungry and cold, seeing the white-flour steamed buns that rich families ate, and living in high-walled compounds.

I will become angry because I meet a gangster on the road and the only possessions and valuables I have left on me are snatched away.

Because I met a woodcutter by chance and saw that the mountain was difficult to walk, I wanted to move away instead of taking a detour, so I felt ridiculed and became infatuated.

I feel superior and arrogant just because I see refugees who are also suffering from hunger and cold, fighting for life and death just for a bite of food.

I will become suspicious because of the companionship of kind-hearted people, worry that they will be detrimental to me, want to steal money, misunderstand good people, and become suspicious.

Although I was going to Lingshan to meet the Buddha, I committed all the five poisons and five evils.

Not only that, I even broke the rules.

Along the way, the journey is long, how can we eat vegetarian meals?

Being hungry and cold, I had no choice but to eat wild game and even ants to satisfy my hunger, which was a violation of the law of killing.

Like this, even if I get to Lingshan, can I really see the Buddha?

I was anxious all the time and walked slower and slower.

After going around in circles, I came to Huangfengling.

The wind and sand here are really big...

I gradually lost myself here, my eyes covered by the wind and sand.

I saw the corpses of many passers-by. Maybe I would soon be like them and end up dying in a foreign land.

I'm scared, I want to go back, even if I don't take this sutra!

I desperately wanted to go back, but I couldn't find the way back.

Finally, I fell into the yellow sand and lost all my strength.

I kept crying until my voice became hoarse and I couldn't make any sound.

In this case, I resigned myself to my fate.

When I look back on my life, I find that from birth to death, it seems like a tragedy.

Now, this tragedy is coming to an end.

And is the person who caused these tragedies the evil man?

Or is it the ups and downs along the way?

Or is it the difficult roads under my feet and the endless yellow sand?

No! None of them...

The person who caused these tragedies... is me.

If it weren't for me, my mother and father might not have boarded that ship to have the baby.

If it weren't for me, I wouldn't have disturbed the tiger by complaining all the way, causing the two followers to die in the tiger's mouth.

If it weren't for me, my will is not strong enough, and I am always anxious, how could I be lost in Huangfengling?

Yeah...it's all me.

I cried with tears and runny nose, and was very embarrassed.

I held tightly to the nine-ring tin staff given by the Bodhisattva and waited quietly for death.

This is my only burial object. No one can take it away except me!

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but hold her a little tighter, and even pressed her tightly under me.

Gradually, my strength became weaker and weaker.

My vision gradually blurred, and my life came to an end.

However, at this moment, I vaguely saw a pedestrian walking towards me in the distance.

It's too late, it's too late...

I opened my mouth desperately, trying to stop him, but no sound came out.

The man came closer and closer, and I slowly saw his appearance clearly.

The man looked exactly like me, and he was accompanied by a toad and a moving stone.

It was only then that I suddenly realized that he... was me.

He stepped on the yellow sand above my head and continued deep into Huangfengling without looking back.

Although he is me, he is more obsessed than me, has a firm will, and is never slowed down by anxiety.

Is it because of... that toad?

I smiled happily and closed my eyes in relief.

That’s right!

My name is Chen Ye. When you read this sentence, I will be dead...
