Chapter 146: Identification Completed, This Is a Waste
The students in the classroom looked at the Cornish elves in the cage with surprise. Some were trying to hold back their laughter, some looked disdainful, and some looked at Lockhart, hoping that the professor could give them a perfect explanation.
"Yes, the newly captured Cornish elves." Lockhart looked at Aaron meaningfully, "The cunning elves are very difficult to deal with."
"But professor, they are not very dangerous, are they?" Seamus Finnigan sneered.
"Laugh as much as you want! Mr. Finnigan." Lockhart turned around and suddenly opened the cage.
The Cornish elves jumped out of the cage like crazy, flying around the classroom like locusts, wreaking havoc.
The desks were ruthlessly overturned by them, the murals on the wall and Lockhart's photos were torn into pieces, books were thrown everywhere, ink was spilled all over the floor, and a few of them directly broke the glass and flew out of the window.
The students hastily picked up everything they could catch and fought with the elves. Amid the chirping and screaming, the scene was once in chaos.
"Drive them together, they are just some goblins." Lockhart shouted loudly, but it was useless.
The blue elves still did whatever they wanted in the classroom. Neville was unlucky and was hung on the chandelier by two elves, and Hermione was also grabbed by the hair by an elf.
Harry picked up a book in time to slap the elves away and saved her.
At this time, the open door pointed out the most correct direction for each student. The students seemed to have caught a beam of light in the dark and fled the classroom one after another.
Two minutes later, there were only Lockhart, Harry hiding under the podium, Neville hanging on the chandelier, and Aaron holding Abe and standing by the window to enjoy this interesting scene.
Lockhart nervously pulled out his wand, and made a rather unstandard gesture with his right hand, "All annoying pests disappear."
Then, nothing happened, and the spell did not work at all.
An elf quickly snatched the wand from his hand and flew to the center of the ceiling, where a model of a dinosaur skeleton was hanging on several chains.
The wand was lightly tapped, sparks flashed, the chains broke instantly, and the huge model fell to the ground.
"Wingardium Leviosa!"
Aaron cast a levitation spell in time to prevent it from falling, "Other things are easy to clean up, but this is a big piece, it's better not to destroy it casually."
Several elves noticed Aaron and flew towards him quickly.
But as soon as they flew in front of Aaron, Abe roared and slapped them all away with one claw.
"Be more restrained." Aaron said helplessly, "You are just a cute pet in front of outsiders, not a battle pet."
Lockhart, who ran to the door at some point, forced a smile and said at the fastest speed in his life: "I will assign you to catch the remaining elves back to the cage."
After saying this, Lockhart fled the classroom and closed the door by the way.
"Tsk tsk tsk! I have never seen such an irresponsible teacher in my life." Aaron sneered, "The identification is complete, he is a waste."
"Maybe he just wants to give us some opportunities to practice." Hermione refuted weakly.
"Practice?" Harry chased away a little elf that flew in front of him, "What kind of practice is this? The teacher has run away, and there are only a few of us left in the classroom."
"That's right." Aaron said with deep conviction, "Hermione, you should also face reality!
Look at this classroom, facts speak louder than words, Lockhart has no real ability.
My question is very sharp, he is not qualified to be our teacher."
"But you have also read his books and know what he has done."
Aaron couldn't help laughing, and even coughed for a few seconds before he caught his breath.
"If a person's ability can really be judged by books, then I think I need to contact a group of professional writers and let them publish a more perfect autobiography within half a year." Aaron touched his chin and said seriously, "I have thought of the name, it is called the Road to the Rise of the God of Magic, what do you think?"
Hearing this, the three looked at each other.
Harry and Ron both thought this idea was very creative, but Hermione figured out something, her face flushed slightly, and she lowered her head in embarrassment.
"Well, can you put me down first?" Neville pointed to the wizard robe hanging on the chandelier, which was overwhelmed by the weight and said, "I experienced this feeling once last year, and I don't want to experience it again."
"Indeed." Aaron was also a little unbelievable, "It seems that you are the one who is unlucky every time.
Neville, your Longbottom family will not be cursed by some terrible curse!"
"This... shouldn't be!" Neville said thoughtfully, but his tone was a little unconfident.
As soon as he finished speaking, a Cornish elf flew to his shoulder, grabbed his arm and shook it continuously.
Bang!
Aaron immediately cast a sleeping spell, and the elf closed its eyes and lay on Neville's shoulder.
"I think you should not be so sure."
"I know, I will ask my grandmother when I go back." Neville said with tears in his eyes, "Put me down now."
Aaron shrugged and raised the wand in his hand gently.
Neville floated upwards, and his wizard robe fell to the ground slowly after it was separated from the chandelier.
"Thank you, you helped me again." Neville sincerely thanked Aaron.
"You're welcome."
"What should we do?" Harry asked melancholy, "Lockhart gave these elves to us before he left. It would be a waste of time to catch them one by one."
"That's because you are too weak.
Lockhart was right about one thing, these are just ordinary goblins." Aaron shook his head and raised the wand over his shoulder, "Petrify them all."
A dazzling white light poured out from the tip of the wand, quickly illuminating the entire classroom.
All the elves were frozen in place, motionless like a log.
"Done!"
"You can handle these elves, so why..." Ron hesitated, and the other three looked at him in confusion.
"Why didn't you take action just now?" Aaron shook his head speechlessly, "First of all, there is no school rule or law that requires me to take action to deal with the troubles caused by others."
"But..."
"Listen to me first, Hermione.
Secondly, our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is still in the classroom!
Since the teacher didn't take action, it means that things are not out of control, right?
It's just that I didn't expect him to run so fast and leave the mess on us in time." Aaron said, walking to a table and pulling out a light golden wand from under it, "I'll take this thing first, and I'll find a chance to return it to our Professor Lockhart.
As for the rest, I'll leave it to you."
After Aaron finished speaking, he left the classroom.
Hermione said thoughtfully: "Could it be that Professor Lockhart's wand was stolen, so the problem was not solved."
"It's possible!" Neville nodded, but when he saw Harry and Ron rolling their eyes, he immediately added: "But it's unlikely."
After dinner in the hall in the evening, Aaron put Abe in the dormitory and went to Lockhart's office alone.
After the knock on the door, Lockhart opened the door of the office.
But when he saw Aaron standing outside the door, a trace of fear and guilt flashed in his eyes.
No teacher likes students who question the teacher, let alone the students' doubts are still right. He has been around for so long and didn't expect to almost capsize today.
"Mr. Gaius, what do you want to talk to me about?" Lockhart showed his signature smile, "I guess you are a Slytherin. If you want to ask me for advice on magic, then I really can't agree.
Because Dumbledore will be unhappy. After all, the magic I know is too powerful. You can't afford it if it causes any damage."
"Sure enough, he can get along well in the wizarding world with his half-baked skills. This guy is still a bit capable. At least his skill in lying with open eyes is first-class." Aaron thought secretly, and then raised his eyebrows, "Professor, I think you misunderstood. I didn't come to ask you questions."
"Isn't it? That's really..." Lockhart said halfway, and quickly retracted the smile at the corner of his mouth, "What a pity, I thought you were the kind of person who pursues power!"
"Professor, you are joking, can I go in and sit down?"
"Of course, please come in." Lockhart said with a smile.
There are countless photo frames in the office, each of which is a photo of Lockhart, and many of them have his autograph.
On the table are thick envelopes and dozens of burning candles.
"Professor, you look very busy!"
"Yes, I'm busy replying to my admirers." Lockhart said, and then looked at Aaron, "Why did you come to see me, Aaron?"
"Here." Aaron took out Lockhart's wand, "You left it in the classroom, I specially returned it to you."
"Oh! Thank you, little wizard." Lockhart took his wand excitedly, "I was just saying I forgot something today!"
"Professor, in addition to returning the wand, I have another thing I want to trouble you with."
Lockhart immediately became alert, and the hand holding the wand trembled slightly. He knew that things were not that simple.
