Chapter 22 New Clothes

The sky in Caldecott City is always so gray. Camus knows that it is caused by excessive factory exhaust. The occasional huge airships passing by cast a large shadow on the ground under the sun. Children playing, horse hooves, talking, various shops, and well-dressed gentlemen and ladies are walking on the clean streets. Susie took Camus around the street for a few circles and walked to a residential area. After entering, they stopped in front of a house and knocked on the door of a room.

This is a five-story obsidian house. There are several rows of plants in the corners. Some moss is stubbornly clinging to the obsidian wall. There is a row of clothes hanging on the windows on the first floor. Through the windows, you can see some pear wood furniture, which is full of bottles and jars. It seems to be the kitchen. The windows upstairs are wide open, and some voices can be heard.

"Dongdong...Auntie Lundy, are you there?"

"Squeak..."

As the door opened, an old lady with white hair in a brown sweater came out in slippers holding a white cat.

"It's Miss Susie. I haven't seen you for a long time. Are you ready to move?"

Susie moved her ears, "No, Aunt Lundy, this is a friend of mine who plans to live in my house. I'm telling you, I'll ask him for the rent and management fee in the future."

Lenty glanced at Camus and nodded, "Okay, Miss Susie, I thought you were here to check out. Take him upstairs. I understand."

Just as she was about to close the door, Aunt Lundy stuck her head out, "Mr. Moon Elf, what's your name?"

"Rillimon Camus"

Lenty raised her eyebrows, "Oh, what a good name, I wish you a happy stay, bang..."

Seeing the door closed, Susie took Camus up to the third floor and opened a room.

"Click, as the key opened, a musty smell came to her face, and Camus suddenly had a bad feeling in his heart."

As the door opened, Susie looked at the sofa with green fur and felt a little embarrassed to invite Camus into the house.

This is a house of about 40 square meters, with a bathroom, a bedroom, and a small living room. There is a sofa with its back against the window in the living room. Because of the rain, there are some green hairs on the sofa. Camus touched the table and found that the dust on the table was almost as thick as a piece of paper. The bedroom has a faint musty smell because it has not been exposed to the sun for a long time. There is a flush toilet and a glass bathtub in the bathroom. There are some dry towels and a piece of soap on it. The floor is wooden, and there are footprints everywhere.

Seeing that it is not as dirty as he imagined, Camus breathed a sigh of relief.

"Miss Susie, how long have you not been here?"

"I haven't been here for two months. I only lived here for a month. You can take care of it yourself. I'm going to class. See you in the evening. Here is the key."

"Bang"

Camus took the key, saw the dust shaken off the door frame, shrugged, and began to clean the room. He was busy for more than two hours before he tidied the room.

"Hush... It's really a physical job. Fortunately, the things are ready-made, otherwise it would be a big trouble. How much money do I have left?"

Looking at the 1 silver, 5 copper and 3 black coins on the sofa, Camus sighed and leaned on the sofa, staring at the ceiling in a daze.

"I have to start working as a makeup artist as soon as possible. This crying dream is simply a death warrant."

"Knock, knock, knock", just when Camus was resting, he heard a knock on his door, so he got up and walked to the door to ask who it was.

"Susie? Or Aunt Lundy?"

The person outside the door was a little happy to hear his voice, "Sir, I'm your neighbor. I just heard the sound of packing up next door. Did you just move in?"

"Kamui opened the door a little and looked out. He saw a pigeon man wearing a washed black suit, smiling at him."

"Oh, sir, you are the moon elf. Hello, my name is Kruda Moshi, a pigeon man, living next door to you, and I'm a journalist."

"My name is Kamui. What's up?"

Seeing that Kamui was a little reluctant, Moshi pointed to the house next door with the door wide open, "We will be neighbors in the future. You are welcome to come over. The owner of this house has not been seen for several months. I thought she had an accident."

Kamui glanced at the house next to him, then stepped aside and made an inviting gesture.

"Do you need to come in and sit down? It's just that there's nothing to drink, and I haven't had time to buy tools. As for the former owner you mentioned, she just left."

Mo Xi heard it and felt a little disappointed, "Well... it's troublesome, I still have work to do here, maybe next time, you can come over for coffee when you have time."

Seeing his expression, Camus understood, and smiled slightly when he saw him enter the room.

"The breath of youth, but I don't know what his expression is when he knows Su Mengmeng's true face."

Thinking of Susie's roar, Camus smiled, took the key and closed the door, ready to go out to buy a set of clothes.

After going downstairs, I happened to see Aunt Lundy sleeping in a wooden rocking chair with the white cat lying on her body. Hearing footsteps, the white cat raised his head and looked at Camus and lay down again.

Camus walked out the door, found a "Clarks Clothing Store" and walked in.

"Welcome, dear guest, Chris is at your service."

Looking at the deerman boss, Camus smiled, "Sir, I want a suitable set of clothes, including underwear and shoes, preferably black."

The deerman boss took a look at Camus's figure, and took Camus to the suit area, took out a pure black suit, a pair of brown leather shoes, a white shirt, and a set of underwear.

"Sir, how about this one? You can try it. Excuse me, in fact, moon elves are more suitable for white robes."

"When Camus heard it, he thought about tonight's mission and felt that suits were better, which was convenient for running away. Robes were too troublesome."

"Thank you, I'll try it now. Where is the fitting room?"

"Over there"

Camus changed out of his clothes, looked at himself in the mirror, and smiled slightly.

This is a moon elf wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath. The slim-fitting suit shows off her tall figure. She is wearing a pair of brown leather shoes, has slightly pointed ears, long silver hair, and silver eyes. She exudes a quiet and elegant aura.

The deer man boss also saw Camus's look and exclaimed, "Sir, this suit is perfect for you. You are really a moon elf with aristocratic temperament. Do you want me to pack it for you?"

"No, how much is this suit and this pair of leather shoes?"

"78 copper coins, sir, I think you are still missing a cane and a top hat, do you want to see it?"

Camus took out a silver coin and threw it over, "I think you should give me a hat. I believe in your generosity, right, Mr. Chrysler."

"It's really a difficult decision. I can sell you a good hat for 10 copper coins. What do you think?"

"5 copper coins"

"Oh... It's really hard to choose. 5 copper coins is 5 copper coins."

Camus chose a pure black top hat. Looking at himself in the mirror with only silver-white eyes, Camus nodded with satisfaction, kicked the remaining 17 copper coins into his arms, and rushed to the Adventurer's Guild.
