Chapter 808: Rapidly Advancing the Plot
Diana heard sobbing coming from the door of the carpenter's shop.
She pushed the door, which was locked tightly, but she could feel that there must be a lot of people hiding inside.
Two purple phantom bodyguards came to Diana with AR15 rifles. They were not smart or wise, but just emotionless command machines, faithfully implementing Shreli's intentions.
Without waiting for Diana to stop them, the two bodyguards kicked open the door of the carpenter's shop and rushed in with rifles.
Out of instinct, Diana also followed into the carpenter's shop, only to see the two bodyguards sweeping the whole house with CQB tactics, checking every room and corner.
Diana stood at the door and suddenly fell into a strange mood.
She suddenly doubted the meaning of her being here. Facing Shreli's two phantom bodyguards, she heard the sobbing of a woman in her ears. She didn't know what she should do now.
Just as she was hesitant, a fat carpenter rushed out of the next room with a hammer.
"No one can touch my family!!" The fat carpenter roared and rushed towards the two bodyguards.
The two bodyguards didn't think twice and fired two automatic rifles at the carpenter. The magic bullet instantly shot the fat man into a ball of rotten meat.
The sound of gunfire came one after another, accompanied by people's shouting. Shreli's bodyguard team was efficiently and professionally clearing the entire city, and she was constantly creating more bodyguards.
Diana saw the fat carpenter lying on the ground, face down, his bloated body didn't look like a warrior.
The bodyguard walked towards the room where the carpenter rushed out, and there were women shouting and crying inside.
Diana walked quickly towards the two bodyguards, followed them into the house, and saw a fat woman holding a baby, curled up under the window, cursing at the bodyguards and crying.
The bodyguards raised their guns and prepared to pull the trigger. At the same time, Diana suddenly took action. She grabbed the arm of one of the bodyguards, hooked his ankle with her feet, tripped him, and made him crash into another bodyguard.
Two automatic rifles fired, breaking the window and the wooden bed, and swept a row of bullet holes over the woman's head. Her eyes burst out with heat energy, burning the two phantom bodyguards into purple magic dust.
"Are you... okay?" Diana looked at the wooden wall that was burnt black by the heat energy, a little upset.
She turned to look at the woman, but couldn't find her figure under the window.
Suddenly, she felt pain in her waist, and a sharp long sword pierced through her left waist and abdomen, piercing her lower abdomen, and came out from the right side against her clothes, all covered with dark red blood.
"Ah?" Diana suddenly felt that her lower body had lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
"You cheap bitch!! I'll kill you!" The woman cursed in a hoarse voice, grabbing Diana's hair with one hand and holding the hilt of the sword with the other, rotating and stirring Diana's internal organs.
"Ah... well..." Diana moaned in pain, and she reached out to grab the woman's arm, but only got the other's long sword stirring more cruelly in her body.
A flash of lightning knocked the woman down, and she flew out of the broken window, her whole body burned black by the strong current.
Diana lay on the ground, she gasped, grabbed the hilt of the sword with her left hand, gritted her teeth, and pulled the long sword out of her body.
Blood spurted out of the wound, she gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and pressed her forehead against the floor to endure the pain. Red magic lines appeared on her neck and arms, and the wound was slowly healing.
She looked at the long sword in her hand. It was a very good sword, with a silver-white blade that was extremely sharp and covered with her own blood. Diana was so angry that she threw the sword away and slowly stood up against the wall.
Xu Jing had been standing at the door for a long time. She hugged her chest and leaned against the door frame, as if she was watching a joke.
"I won't thank you." Diana said unhappily.
"I didn't expect it either." Xu Jing shook her head.
Diana leaned against the wall. The wound on her waist was almost healed, and the sensation in her lower body had recovered a little. She felt a little ashamed. Xu Jing hadn't left yet. She turned her head and looked at Xu Jing, and said again: "What do you want to do?"
"Nothing, I'm just assessing your mental state and making sure you won't continue to do stupid things." Xu Jing said.
Diana was a little angry. She stared at Xu Jing and said angrily: "Do stupid things? I think you have been encouraging Chen Ke to do stupid things."
"He carries the fate of the whole world, and this is what he should do." Xu Jing retorted.
"Fuck fate, the man I know would not do something like massacre." Diana said.
"Diana, maybe you have always had a wrong understanding of him. I have experienced some things with him, and he would do this, but he just needs someone to push him." Xu Jing said.
"I've also experienced some things with him, and he's not the character you say he is." Diana was dissatisfied.
"Either he hid it too well, or you have a bad memory and forgot some things." Xu Jing snorted and turned to leave.
Diana grabbed her arm and said, "I don't care what you said to him, stay away from him."
"Don't forget, Diana, what he did before? He's a killer." Xu Jing glanced at Diana and shook off Diana's hand.
Diana didn't say anything.
"I know his style of doing things. If something stands between him and his fate, that thing must die. This is the Chen Ke I know. You should be glad that you are still useful." Xu Jing said.
She left Diana behind, walked out of the carpenter's shop by herself, and then followed the bodyguards.
Diana covered her waist and walked out of the house. The cries in the city gradually subsided, and the gunshots became less frequent.
"Diana? What's wrong?" Chen Ke was standing on a street corner. He saw Diana coming out from the other side, a little depressed, so he walked up to greet her.
Diana looked at Chen Ke, hesitant to speak.
"I know what you are thinking, Diana." Chen Ke patted Diana's shoulder.
She looked at him, and her beard-faced profile became a little strange.
"Lucina will be fine, we will find her." Chen Ke said again.
Diana nodded, then walked away quickly.
...
The events in Snow Run spread throughout Asgard a few days later.
Freya summoned all the leaders to the palace. There was no doubt that they were in trouble.
Thor had not returned for a long time, and Odin was nowhere to be found. Someone was challenging the authority of the Aesir.
Four people, called the Dark Wanderers, are causing trouble in this sacred land, but no one knows their origins.
Freya sat on the throne, with the Sword of Victory beside her. She frowned and watched the kings and ministers at the long table discussing, but none of them could come up with a solution.
The location of Snow Run City was vacant. When the Gods' army arrived, only a dead city was left.
An ominous word flashed through Freya's mind.
"Ragnarok..."
Asgard will fall, just like Snow Run.
